Born Pretty Chinese Red Shimmer

Born Pretty Chinese Red Shimmer nail polish is my newest product sample from bornprettystore.com. I love glitter and shimmer polishes. Surprisingly I had nothing similar to the finish and opacity of this polish. Not only was the dry time extremely quick but this manicure was done with one quick coat! The born pretty shimmer polishes come in 24 pretty colors and are $4.74 each, with free international shipping. If you would like to check them out for yourself visit the site here.

Old Nail Art :) (Picture Heavy)

I spent time tonight reading through my old blog posts from March and April this year. I always enjoy looking at past nail art, so I compiled a ton of photos from my old posts. I have not messed with nail art in ages. These manicures were all fun, but I have been really enjoying simple layering manis. Which one is your favorite?

Flame Nails

I recently purchased a few L.A. Colors Nail Art Pens at the Dollar Tree. I decided to try this quick nail art which was surprisingly easy to do on both hands. Like most of my nail art manicures I think it looks best from far away.

Raspberry Festival & Squiggly Scissors

Raspberry Festival is a beautiful red with shimmer from the Summer Days collection 2009. I have seen photos of the polishes from this collection and I think they are stunning. Strawberry Fields is next on my wishlist. This is two coats, no top coat.

I wanted to use squiggle scissors today but I wanted the red to be dominant. This is what I came up with, but I think I like Raspberry Festival better on its own. I think I need to buy a new black polish, the one I have been using is too thick for layering.

Orly: Razzle with Silver

Orly Razzle is a deep fuscha/berry with tons of micro-glitter. The glitter is very subtle but really stands out in the sunlight. Like Orly Monroe's Red I think you can get away with one coat. The pigmentation on these polishes was great, I was happy they were on clearance for $1.99, but I would have paid full price for them. I decided to do a laser mani with tape and Sally Hansen Celeb City. The laser mani would be pretty on every nail but I like the way the silver polish stands out on my ring finger.

This is Razzle with two coats, no topcoat.

Orly: Monroe's Red

Orly Monroe's Red is one of my only red nail polishes. It is the perfect red creme that is thick enough to disguise visible nail line. Application was easy, and if needed I think you could get away with one coat. I only own a few dark red shades in my collection so this polish definitely stands out. For $1.99 on Sally's clearance table it cannot be beat. This is two coats, no top coat.

Orly for $1.99

Just a quick post to show you two Orly nail polishes I found today at Sallys for $1.99. They had a few other colors on clearance too so if you live near a Sallys it might be worth checking out :)

Color Club Resort to Red & Stamping

Color Club Resort to Red is a medium ruby red with a slight shimmer. This color has a great shine to it and applied easily in two coats. I stamped over top with a white polish but it turned out poorly. I think it would be a pretty manicure if the stamping was cleaner.

Color Club Red Velvet & Stamping

Red Velvet is a basic black base with red glitter. I liked this polish, it was unique from everything I own. It is especially pretty in the sunlight. This is two coats no topcoat.

I decided to use my new bundle monster stamps again. I would have stamped with a silver polish but I did not have one on hand.
