I hope those of you who watched me being let loose on Hochanda yesterday enjoyed the shows as much as I did.  Dont forget Im back on today with the Justrite One Day Special at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.

I thought today I would show a card that I made yesterday morning for the let lockers loose shows that mixes the amazing Justrite pine tress dies and stamps with the polished silk glitter and some of the techniques I showed.  If you missed the glitter show you can watch on catch up HERE.

Im hoping to show how to make the glitter trees later in one of todays shows.  The background was made using the double sided

adhesive sheets and mask technique I showed.

It's Black and White again...

Happy Sunday,

Dont firget Julia Watts and I am at Inspirations in Preston today demoing form 11am till 4pm so pop in and say Hi if you are about!

Another card from my shows last week with the Justrite stamps and dies and I wanted to show another sample made with the three in a row die form just rite.  This was another die that didn't get demoed as it sold out so quickly.    Once again, as in yesterdays card I cut this three times across the front of a piece of coconut white foundation card.  This time however I only cut every other window using the matching squares dies in the set  I used the square dies cut from white and mounted these on top of the uncut back areas,   Hopefully this will kale more sense in the next picture.

Next I threaded white and black seam binding through and over the squares I alternated the colours over and under each other to give a black and white tartan effect.

Next I cut two of the garden circle die in black and white offsetting the black against the white so that it shows up against the background.

Finally I added a classic bow in black and white and one of the stunning pearl embellishments from Always and Forever form Craft Consortium.

Enjoy...

Something different Saturday...

Happy Saturday,

I'm in Preston today at Inspirations with Julia Watts today and tomorrow so if you are in the area it would be great to see you!  Today's card is a demo card from my shows this week on Hochanda however due to these dies selling out `I never got to demo it fully!

This card was made using the just rite three in a row die set.  I used the die three times across the front of a 5" square card blank.  Next I used the three sure dies that come in the set and cut these into a black layer I added to make the frames.

Next I made the colour cloud background and used one piece for the back of the card and cut the pinwheel daisies from the remainder.  I stacked these up and added then to the sentiment circles cut using the stitched banners die set.

These dies did sell out on the show so I didn't get to do the demo however Julia has some still in stock on her website.

Enjoy...

A little frosty...

Happy Friday,

While the weather seems to have turned to a little more summery I thought Id show this wintery card of frosty foliage, I know it doesn't make sense but its a nice card lol!  I really dont think you can go wrong with classic black and white.

I stared this card by stamping the Graden View background onto acetate using perfect medium.  I then heat embossed this with the new Cosmic Shimmer Snowcap Brilliant sparkle embossing powder which ads a stunning shine and glitter but which really needs to be seen in real life to see the shine.  Hopefully some of you saw this sample on my Hochanda shows on earlier this week .

Next I cut the stunning new stitched lattice background in coconut white foundation card.  I then made a ting frame using the 2 smaller stitched rectangles that come with the set and adhered the stamped piece to this before foam mounting it over the lattice.

I simply added a bow of thin black satin ribbon and some twists of the metal links from Creative expressions with an embellishment form the Always and Forever range by Craft Consortium.

White Clouds...

Happy Thursday,

I had a fab day at Annette's Crafty Corner in Breedon with the lovely ladies at yesterdays workshop!  We have booked 2 for June the 1st and the 22nd !

back to today I thought you might like to see another sample from my Justrite stamp and die shows form earlier this week.  It really was fun especially as the channel returned to Freeview!  I really wanted to demo this card however as we sold out of the new white and Midnight clouds colour cloud so early I wasn't able to!  I'm afraid you will have to settle for a description instead.

I stated by e,embossing the Spirelli mask from That Special Touch onto black foundation card through my Platinum.  Next leaving the mask in place, I shaded over this using the white clouds colour cloud blending ink.  Hopefully you can see from the picture that this covers beautifully whilst still being able to shade areas as well as solid colour.

Next I cut the Heart frame in ridged white card and cut this does the centre mounting the two pieces on top of each other to make the rectangular shape square.  I then used the 2 edge dies in the set to cut the black and white panels.  I rotated the die after cutting to overlap the cut she to make the square shapes as shown ( I did show this technique so if you missed it you can watch on catch up at www.hochanda.com)  I then cut the heart die in black and added the centre die from the heart to cut a rim for the heart in white.  I stamped the sentiment, form the chrysanthemum set of stamps, in the white in the centre.

Finally I added a strip of white dream binding along with a strip of thin black satin ribbon and added a messy bow and one of the Creative Expressions diamante embellishments.  A few layers of black and white to frame it .

A simple black and white card but hopefully effective!

A little gold...

Happy Wednesday,

Well I thought it was time for a little gold, did I say little this card seems to drip gold but hopefully in a tasteful way.  I think its the background that really stands out in this card.

I stared by stamping the stunning butterfly background from justrite in perfect medium onto coconut white foundation card. I then added the new Cosmic Shimmer Gold sparkle embossing powder and heat set it.  This background is a negative so the pattern is revealed in the backing card with the gold area framing the pattern.  I then hand cut this into this fall shape.  The great thing about stamps, and backgrounds in particular, is that you don't have to use these as they stamp you can cut them out or into them.  This to me at least makes these so flexible.
Next I cut two of the garden circle die, one win black and one in the white, the white die cut I added perfect medium to and the  covered it with the gold sparkle embossing powder and heat set it.  This makes a stunning sparkling die cut with very little effort!  I offset the ball die cut behind this to emphasise the detail and added this to the top of the die cut flag with a strip of black seam binding.

Next I added a bow made form gold silky crush ribbon with a black seam binding bow on top.  I added one of the diamante and pearl embellishment from the Always and forever collection by Craft Consortium ( these were on the Wedding show with Julia Watts last week).

A few layers of black and white and finished perfect for a golden wedding or other occasion but definitely a statement card!

More Just Rite...

Happy Tuesday

today's card is the first demo I will be doing on Hochanda today at 9am, I am continuing the One Day Special at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.  The heat news is this mornings show will be the first live hour back on freeview channel 39!

I made this card using products I have on the show so if you want to see how this one was made then tune in! lol Dont forget Hochanda now has a catch up at www.hochanda.com so you can see the shows on catch up for a week if you miss anything!

Here's a close up of the stamps I used the rose and vines clear set for this and I love the fact that these have stamps that mirror each other giving the perfect flourish or corners.

Hopefully you can see from this shot that the hearts are 3D in this and fold forward which is a neat trick that these dies enable.

Just rite Tonight...

Happy Bank Holiday Monday,

I hope you are all doing something with your Bank Holiday I know I am although its works so does that count? lol  I am launching the One Day Special on Hochanda tonight at 8pm so I will be spending the day prepping and getting ready!  The Great news is that Hochanda will be back on Freeview channel 39 tomorrow morning from 6am so if you miss tonight's show you may be able to watch the repeat at 6am Tomorrow morning.

I thought today you might like to see one of my favourite samples I have made for the show.,  I think I love this card for the simple colour combination which I can't remember using before namely Black, White and Pink different for me.

I used a combination of the stamps and the dies I have on the show to make this card.  I stamped the flourishes from the roses and vines clear stamp set.  I added one of the Craft Consortium resin roses at the junction of the vines ( these were on Julia Watts show last week so may still be available online if anyone wants them) I then stamps the sentiment form the Stacking sentiments set using Jet Black archival ink.  I cut these out with Sue Wilson's double pierced squares set.

I cut the garden floral die twice in blush foundation card and cut these in half, this enabled me to add these around the larger square.  I then added this to an embossed layer which I shaded using the brand new White Clouds colour c;loud ink that I have on the show.  There are 2 new colours that I will be working with tonight namely White Clouds and Black Clouds.  These are slightly different as they are opaque inks in perfect white and black and are so useful.  Hopefully I will show you these in some of the demos.

It would be great if you could tune in!

Stamping Justrite...

Happy Sunday...

I thought I would share one of the samples from my Justrite stamping show which launches tomorrow evening at 8pm ( Bank Holiday Monday)  The great news is that on Tuesday morning Hochanda i back form its holiday on Freeview and will be back on, from 6am, on channel 39!

I will be demoing a version of this card so if you tune in you will be able to see how this was made however I used the Justrite Pinwheel daisies and matching dies for the main element.  I love the ay that you can build upon the stamp design using the spectate stamps and dies that come in the set.

All I have doen is simply stamp and tea this up with French Navy and white to make a classic card that hopefully will make for mens cards!

Deco Wallpaper...

Happy Sunday
,

Firstly thank you all for the wonderful support I received yesterday on my first altered art pieces.  I cant wait to try and get not too messy this afternoon at 5pm on Hochanda!

That said don't forget I am also launching the justrite stamps and dies One Day Special on Hochanda at 7pm as well, hopefully there will be time between shows to wash my hands and change!  Today's card is another of the demos I have prepped for the shows.  I really feel that this is very reminiscent of Victorian or early turn of the century ( I daren't say William Morris) wallpaper.

I used a collection of the stamps in the Lilies and butterflies clear stamp site along with Vintage labels 10 and the stitched oval and flourishes die set.  I also used a selection of the mini distress inks, that I have on the show, to do all the stamping with the new technique I learnt form Julia Watts of getting a soft shade on the stamps with these.

This will be demonstrated so tune in if you want more info on this and the triple stamping technique I used to make the card!

Remember you can catch Hochanda on Sky channel 663, Freest as well as online at www.hochanda.com.

Floating Poppies...

Happy Friday,

Today I am winging my way to Fleetwood as I have a demo day there tiomnorrow with Sue Wilson's brand new release of dies.  If you would like to see the new range and what I can come upon with then pop over to Crafty Company in fleetwood between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.

Back to today and another sneak peak for Sunday and Mondays shows ( there will be a peak of the Paint show tomorrow as it really is something different for me).

This is another card made with the matching stamps and dies from Justrite.  The great thing I have tried to show here is how you can stamp the images in 2D then stamp, cut and shape the flowers using trendies to make a 3D card that sits flat for posting!

For the background Stamped some of the smaller sprigs form the lilies and butterflies clear stamp set using first and second generation stamping using a mix of distress inks.

This is another card I am planning to demo so there will be step by step on the shows.

Justrite mark 2...

Happy Thursday,

another sneak peak today this time of the justrite wild roses clear stamp set and matching die set.  I have used just 1 stamps set ( and a sentiment) and one die in  this card, can you believe it one die!

I stamped the first section of the rose using warm honey distress ink using a smoothie to apply the ink to the stamp ( Thanx for the great tip Julia!)  next I stamped the detail using the next stamp in the set using ripe persimmon and simply cut them out using the matching die.  I did the same with the leaves using old paper and crushed olive DI and cut these out.

This is a planned demo fir the shows on Sunday and Monday so I will go through all the techniques and the background on the show,  Remember that all Hochanda shows are now available on Catch up so you don't need to watch it live!

Enjoy...

Sneak Peak that just rite...

Happy Wednesday,

I thought I would show you, over the next few days,  a few of the samples and demo pieces I have prepped for Sunday and Mondays shows on Hochanda, especially as Sue Wilson continues her One Day special today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.

I will be doing 2 different shows on Sunday a two hour special on the new metallic lustre paints form 5pm till 7pm then a quick change for the One Day Special at 8pm.  They paint shows will be a real departure for me so tune into the blog on Saturday to get an idea of what I will be doing.

For todays card I have used some of the brand new Justrite products that I will be working with on the one day special.  Ive used the new Multistep stamp and die sets for the butterfly as well as the swirls and stamps from some of the other sets.

Parchment and velum are becoming increasingly popular so I wanted to show my favourite trick of embossing velum with an embossing folder which makes an intricate background thats completed in seconds.  I cut a frame using the double pierced frames set A and stamped over it with the swirls from the lilies and butterflies clear stamp set.

I stamped the solid butterfly in dusty concord distress ink onto white velum.  I then stamped the butterfly detail in perfect medium and heat set this using the clear sparkle embossing powder form Cosmic Shimmer.  I then cut this out using the matching die.

A stamped sentiment and some layering and finished.

Hopefully you can tune in on Sunday, dint forget that although Hochanda is off freeview for a couple of weeks you can still tune in online at www.hochanda.com or on Sky channel 663 Freest 817.

Enjoy...
