Morgan Fitzsimons Tuesday...

Happy Tuesday

You may have seen our lovely Fiona over on Create and Craft with our fab Aquamarkers this past few days - its a pick of the week! and alongside it there is the beautiful A Country Life collection from Morgan Fitzsimons, the stamps lend themselves so perfectly to the aquamarkers, do check them out :)

I really enjoy colouring with aquamarkers it is more forgiving than alcohol markers and so threaputic
I used the gorgeous Leaf Vein embossing folder from the textures range on kraft card and matted it onto coredinations cardstock. I cut the image using a nestie and painted it with the markers, the bow is from the cd rom

It makes for such a simple card but very pretty and neat :)

Spectrum Aquas Used

A Country Life...

Hiya Everyone
Back again, before I head off to bed :)

Friday sees the launch of A Country Life from Morgan Fitzsimmons and with Crafter's Companion on Create and Craft TV :)
This is such a beautiful collection, I fell in love with this image and it screamed out to be coloured with Aquamarkers :)
I wanted to keep the design of the card very clean and simple, the embossing folder is a dry stone wall from the textures collection, I thought it worked so perfectly with this image, the dies are ivy from Die'sire, covered in distress inks and shaped using a ball tool on some foam. Some contrasting black cardstock and I pierced the edges.

Aquamarkers Used
Aquamarine, Crimson, Leaf Green, Evergreen, Moss, Boulder, Chocolate, Sepia, Chestnut, Charcoal, Fawn, Desert

One Simply Betty card a week - week 3 - card 3
Whoo hoo I'm smashing this hahahaha
Over on the Spectrum Noir Team we like to show you ideas, techniques and tutorials, and as a team we like to use the ideas our teamies have taught us - so this month I have followed the fabulousy fun tutorial from Laine on using Bubbles with Aquamarkers - You will find it HERE
Although I used Aquatints, and I give you a word of warning - if you are messy like me - cover EVERYTHING! Bubbles have a mind of their own you know and with aquatint inside of them omgosh! MESS lol - I'm still removing white splots and splats!
I coloured this gorgeous dude up with spectrum noir markers, the sentiment ack - it is a digi, I just cannot place where from, the red card is coredinations. I mixed some bubble mix with some of the white aquatint and I blew it at the wet black card, it popped it splatted and it bubbled lol, then I had to remember to let it dry! I think it looks really effective and I'll deffo be trying it again :) Thanks Laine

It must be Love, Love, Love...

Hiya Everyone, Happy Wednesday
Hope you are well

I finally managed to get a doctors appointment yesterday, I now have two to cancel, trying to get an appointment with them is awful since they changed their systems. My wrist and hand has been hurting real bad for the past 10 days or so, I thought maybe repititve strain, but it has got worse, I have had issues over the last 18 months or so, but it wasn't until I started to check out symptoms that I wondered if they were connected and maybe it could be Carpal Tunnel - the doc said she agrees , so now I'm splinted up and waiting for Xrays and the Skeletal clinic - not sure if this splint helps or makes it worse! Its my dominant hand so I'm anxious and trying to rest it as much as possible - not easy considering I'm a Mum what crafts! I am completely useless with my left hand, although thats starting with little niggles, so I'm hoping it doesnt give up until this one is sorted. Hey Ho

Sara Davies is launching a Brand new Love range on Thursday at 8am on Create and Craft and this is my fave so far from Sara's ranges - its absolutely beautiful :D
Do check out the peeks on facebook :)
You will be able to find everything Crafter's Companion in the Shop
This is one of the gorgeous new embossing folders. I decided to ink the inside of the folder and put some white card through with it, it came out all wishy washy but I really liked the look, so I worked with it. I used some Aquamarkers, Spectrum Sparkle and Texture spray to splat all over it, the hearts I covered with sparkle pen, because they are water based, the ink I used was water based and the aquatints are, they all kept merging and splodging and I loved how it finished up, I keep the rest of the card simple, the Love wording is from one of the new dies and the little padlock from the gorgeous Charms that go with this collection.

I think this Love die maybe one of my most used this year I think its fab!

Sleep in Saturday...

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
This week I really feel like I need it, I'm young in the grand scheme of life, but I feel like I am getting older with my sleep pattern, I am always exhausted! Early nights and Early starts OH MY GOSH!!! Still I shouldn't complain I wake up to a beautiful family every morning, maybe its just the darkness that this time of year brings - its my fave time of year too in the run up to Christmas

Its deffo an "S" Day - Soccer Saturday with me Jeff Stelling, and Strictly loving Strictly it really is my fave! I don't have a definite favourite yet but I do like Jay and Aliona and I do like Anita and Gleb :) Who is your faves?

Today I have a flip card to share from the gorgeous Kimono Range
Another paper pad collection that is stunning!
You can find it in the Crafter's Companion Shop
I should really use this stamp more often because she is Booooootiful! The sentiment is also from the stamp sets. The papers of course from the pad and the dies are also from the Kimono range -  The blossom branch die has to be my most used die this year - I use it for absolutely everything! The glitter on these papers is pretty amazing! I coloured her up with Aquamarkers :)

Skin - Peach, Blossom, Jasmine
Brown - Topaz, Desert, Chocolate
Grey - Charcoal, Black
Pink - Red Violet

Festive Friday...

Festive Friday :)
Whoop Whoop Whoop
I am so far behind in coming forwards with my festive makes its unreal!

Today I have an accordion card to share using some of the gorgeous Elfs and Fairies Perfect Partners from Sheena Douglass
OH MY GOSH
I have said it before but I'll say it again
I love these!!!!!!!!!!!

I cut my accordion blanks and embossed them using one of the Nordic Christmas folders from Crafter's Companion, the centre I cut away on one and used some twine to attach my fairy - do excuse the blob of glue on the back of her wings which I cut using acetate. I used a little gliding wax over the embossed panels and added some kraft card to the edges. The ivy is also from Sheena's Range and this is one of my fave dies ever! I cut it on white card and then covered it with distress ink, then I stamped onto it using the perfect partner stamp and then coated it with a layer of Mod Podge love it - I shaped them using a ball tool.

I coloured all images with Aquamarkers and had a blast!
I cut another panel out and removed the middle and the edges so I could cover over the back to hide the twine ends.
How cheeky does he look! I just think these are such fun :)

Aquamarkers Used
Skin - Blossom, Peach, topaz, desert
Hair - Sepia, Chocolate, Terracotta
scarlet, burgundy, moss, bud green, gold, marigold

You can check out all things Sheena over in the Crafter's Companion Shop

I used one of the nordic christmas embossing folders and one of the vintage christmas embossing folders and covered them with some distress inks. I diecut the Elf and scroll and used the stamps to stamp onto them - I coloured the elf with Aquamarkers. This Elf has such a cheeky face I love him! I can't wait to sit back and watch Elf this year - for me its not Christmas until I have watched the old Santa movie with Dudley Moore and Elf lol - whats your fave Christmas movie?

Today is the Day...

Hiya Everyone, Monday again!

Today is the day Fiona Clayton brings Destinations to Create and Craft
Oh me oh my
I hope you can tune in or catch it on record, the shows are sure to be amazing!
I can't wait to see what Fiona does :)

This is using one of the beautiful stamps, which I coloured with Spectrum Aquas (as soon as I find my colour list I will post it)
The sentiment is also from the stamps, the frame I printed from the cd rom and cut the aperature away, I then mounted it using 3d glue onto some kraft card, I covered the inside with some paper from the paperpad and some more kraft card and edged with lots of pearls. The embellies are from my stash.
I wanted her skirt to be raised, so I stamped her several times and coloured her up and then I used a glue pen lol to curve her dress, I stuck it only at one end, I really like the dimension. She looks like she is having a fab time dancing away.

I rarely do scrapbook pages, and currently my very clever little brother is living and working in New York, so I asked him to send me a couple of pics, because I knew they would match perfectly with elements from the kit. I used a stamp and coloured it with spectrum aquas, and I used different elements from the paperkit and inserts. I cut the stars from a punch and covered them with spray and sparkle.

Enjoy the shows

Destinations...

Hiya Everyone
Happy Friday
Hope you are all doing ok

Its our Anniversay today :) This time last year we were in Rome, what I would do to go back there, I think thats probably my happy place :)
Happy Anniversary Mart x x x

I am super excited for the New launch over on Create and Craft on Monday with the lovely
Fiona Clayton - this collection is my most FAVOURITE yet, it is truly beautiful
Don't forget to hit record so you can catch the shows!

This first card uses some of the paperkit and inserts, they are AMMMMMMMMMazing, I was giddy with excitement when I opened the package :) I made a double easel from some centura pearl and used some black card and some coredinations - you will find those over in the Crafter's Companion shop. I added some embellies from my stash, and the little branches are from the Kimono Die range - this is Blossom branch and is so adaptable - one of my most used dies at the moment :)

This project uses some of the gorgeous stamps and elements from the amazing cd rom. There are little suitcases on there that you can make up, I also had an old card/chipboard one from many moons ago which I decided to open up and fill with different bits and pieces. I covered it in some paint and I used some gold gliding wax on its trim. Everything was edged with distress inks too :) and I used some gorgeous kraft card.

These suitcases are fab, there is a variety on the cd rom so you can pick your destination :)

This is one of the stamps I stamped onto one of the tags from the cd rom, I used distress inks and randomly dabbed them over the stamp so it stamped in a mixed colour.

I used lots of little bits from the cd rom, tags, postcards, The lady is one of the stamps I coloured with spectrum aquas - at present I cannot find my colour list :( sorry we are in the middle of decorating. I added some embellies from my stash and some chipboard pieces, the pearls I stuck onto a piece of string to create a little necklace.

Do check out what my teamies have been up to - be prepared to be amazed :)
Truly stunning projects
