All work and no play

You can't have a week to yourself and do all work and no play. In the fabric clear up earlier on in the week I put aside two rolls of ribbon, cut out a card template and selected pieces of fabric that were going nowhere fast but were too pretty to throw away.

I cut out bunting, loads of it, with pinking shears for speed.

I actually needed more than the 6 metres of pink ribbon I had so I reached up to my new wall shelf and slid out a long piece of green too. What is it for?

It does have a purpose, it is for the cabin because Big Sis had her 7th-Birthday-Bug-Party there today so I thought it would cheer the place up a bit. I don't know what a bug party was supposed to be but I think it involved finding minibeasts in magnifier pots, going for a pond dip and everyone eating sandwiches!? They were all smiling anyway.

Toasting marshmallows.

Searching for hanging sweets with jokes on in the trees. The jokes are from here.

I had a fruitful roam around pinterest for a butterfly inspired birthday cake and must share this link with you for brilliant cake inspiration. It shows exactly how to cut it. (I think I might have done it upside down) The children were involved in the decorating so it is a bit wild.

Happy Birthday Heidi!
