M for Map.
I love geography and Maps. If I see a map I have to study it. Old maps are my favorite.
Before I go on holiday I use Google Earth to study roads, cities and so on.
I have two GPS’s. One Garmin Nüvi 660 for navigation in car, installed with a European road map.
At work, when I go in the woods and up in the mountains I use a Garmin 60CS with topographic maps.
This picture is a map from Trondheim and the area around.
This last one is a 3D picture of Mount Everest seen from the north. Google earth have a lot of interesting features.

L- for Left behind
In Norway we have a lot of ferries to transport people and vehicles across the fjords. Sometimes I have to drive a bit too fast to get to the ferry in time. Well, I have been left behind several times, but not last week when I had to cross the fjord Trondheimsfjorden. Lucky me :-)

Letter I for:
iPod - my iPod Nano 8GB, the previous version:
----------------------
I for Ivar - my first name
Ivar is a male name. Can be used as both first and middle name, originating in the Norse name Ívarr, formed by the Norse words ýr, "yew"(norsk: Barlind), and harjaR, "warrior".
In Norway 6732 men have just 'Ivar' as their first name. My name day is January 31.
My blog name is Ivar Ivrig, and 'Ivrig' means 'eager' ;-)

I for Image. Here is one shot by me this autumn:
Hell is a small place about 30 km east of Trondheim, close to Trondheim Airport Værnes/TRD.
The name is from an old Norwegian word 'hellir', and means overhang.
Hell also means 'stroke of good luck' :-)
For English speaking people this is a popular place to visit :-)
These pictures are, as you can see, from the railway station.
"GODS" means something like cargo.
As you can see, Hell is not beneath. It is 3.9 meters above sea level :-)
This last one is a postcard, one of the most famous ones. Found this on Internet, here.
Friday 01.08.2008 at 10:34 we had a solar eclipse. From my house I captured this photo. I have posted some more photos earlier in my blog.
Have a nice Wednesday :-)
