Outgoing Mail-Art by Ruud Janssen - September 2017

Because the postal rates are quite high I don't send out that much mail-art anymore. But when I do send out something I document it, and I heve spent quite some time on the piece so the postage will be worth it.

Some of the envelopes go to Ryosuke Cohen for his Brain Cell Project. Just to keep the flow going and somehow I hope to be part of that #1000 , but #999 or #1001 would be good enough too. Quite an achievement of Ryosuke who has been sending out these Brain Cells since 1985 and soon will reach such a milestone.

Mail to Cascadia Artpost - USA

Sent this letter to Jack Latteman (Cascadia Artpost)  in USA.  Besides the acrylic painted envelope, I also collaged the address with individual letters. The Postal Workers might have some problems with reading an address this way, but I will know soon if it arrived or not.

It is a colourful way of aying thank you for the wonderful mail Jack sent me. His collection of seeds with May flowers arrived and will be planted. A lovely  gesture to send seeds of flowers worldwide to make the Earth look a bit more colourful......

Litsa Spathi designed new artistamps for the IUOMA celebrating 25 years. I am testing how they work on envelopes and also with the new cancelation rubberstamp that Jack Lattemann gave me last month. Looks wonderful. Thank you both.
