Easter Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made combining the Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge on SplitCoast.

The dessert option on the color challenge was to make an Easter card. I decided to pull out an old but favorite set called "A New Little Someone" and use the bunny for an Easter card.

I stamped the bunny onto some rustic white card stock and colored qith my aqua painter and ink pads. I used Sahara Sand, So Saffron and Baja Breeze all on the main image. The bunny was colored with the Sahara Sand and then I used So Saffron on the bow and pads and inside the ears a bit.
I then used some Baja around the outer edge of the Bunny.

The main image is matted with So Saffron and then the angled piece behind that is Sahara Sand card stock.
The DSP is from the Sweet sorbet pack.
The sentiment comes from the Abundant Hope stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rev Up the Fun

Happy Sunday peeps!!

So sorry for the long silence, I have been crafting just not much card making, more on that in a bit
I wanted to share a card I made for the color challenge in Splitcoast,
This was the colors for 9-24:

The dessert option was to use the Chalboard Technique. This is a technique I had played around with a bit but not much so I decided to give it another whirl.
I pulled out this new to me set from Stampin Up called "Rev Up the Fun" and went to work.

I first pulled out some Basic Black card stock and used my Embossing Buddy to cover it just to try and keep the specks to minimum.
I stamped each element with Versmark and embossed with White Embossing Powder seperately. (embossing with heat gun after each element).

All images and words come from this same set. I then used a sponge and some craft white ink to sponge around to add the "chalk dust look".
The lines around the panel was added using the new Chalk Marker from Stampin Up, I really love that pen.
I then stamped the "every day can be" part of the Joy Ride sentiment onto some white card stock using Gumball Green. I clipped the ends and curved it a bit and added it to the panel with some dimesionals.
I added some green "Candy Dots" and the green strip with some Black Rhinestones. Finished it off with clip and a bit of Gumball Green Ribbon.

I think it turned out great and I love that I was able to make a Man Card, which is not my forte.

So a bit of what else I have been up to lately:

Been making a ton of "Prim Pumpkins" I love primitive decorations and once I start something I tend to get a bit obsessed.

I have been selling these locally and even shipped a few to customers. If you like and want any just shoot me an email!

A few more things I been working on:

I LOVE these Sunflowers: They are Super easy to make and have twigs for stems!

I also have been working on some Prim Christmas items, more on those later.

Thanks for stopping by and I will have more cards to share later, so did give up on me! :)

Valentine Greetings

Happy Friday Peeps!

So sorry for just getting this posted,  I have been busy with things and my poor blog gets neglected.
Anyway this is a card I created on Tuesday using the COLOR CHALLENGE, this week on Splitcoaststampers.

The colors this week are Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party.
I thought a bit about this before I hit upon the idea to make this card.
I had made a floral wreath on the card on my last blog post and so I thought I could do another one using these colors.
I used my heart framelits to cut the heart shape into the base of the card which is
Soft Sued and then I embossed with the Woodgrain EF. I found out after doing this card  that embossing this along with the large heart opening makes the front piece a bit flimsy, so next time I will back it with another piece of card stock before cutting and embossing. I added a piece afterwards, trying to align it all up but it isn't as straight as I would like, not bad but not as nice as I want, so if you go to duplicate this you may want to use two pieces of cardstock glued together on the front.

The flowers are all stamped and hand cut out using the Calypso Coral and Pool Party ink.
The stamp  set I used is of course, the Stampin Up Bloomin' Marvelous.

Don't you love how the flowers look against the Woodgrain embossed Soft Suede?

The ribbon and button is from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button pack.
I used several basic pearls for the flower centers and at the top corners of the front.
The sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set.
I think it turned out nice but it is alot of fussy cutting so if you don't like doing that this card my not be for you...LOL!!

Well, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

CC363.....Sending Many Thanks

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers. The colors to use are Pretty in Pink, basic gray and Pink Pirouette.
I knew right away when I saw the colors that I wanted to use this DSP, it is the Stampin Up Lap of Luxury it is retired but I love it and it has the pretty in pink and basic gray.
I used the new Up in the Air hostess stamp set from Stampin Up.
The sentiment on here is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
I stamped the image with black stazon onto the white card stock and colored it in with my aqua painter and ink pads.
I did add a bit of old olive and island indigo besides the challenge colors while coloring.
I used some basic gray satin ribbon across the bottom of the image panel and tied a bow.
I added a punched border across the top and the pink pirouette is matted directly under the main image panel.
I used a punch from the Itty Bitty punch pack to make the little flowers on the image and sentiment piece.
I finished it off with some pretty basic pearls.
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

CAS....friend to friend

Happy Thursday Peeps!!

I have been covered up over here making swaps and trying to get some Design Team commitments done. I am running behind so today I am sharing a card made a week ago for the Clean & Simple Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

It was a one layer sketch challenge. I used a set I love to watercolor from Stampin' Up called "The Nicest Things".

I stamped the image onto some white card stock with black stazon and colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. To be honest, for coloring directly onto card stock and not using watercolor paper, I prefer to use a non SU white. I do love very vanilla for this method of declaring but the SU white is a bit to slick and smooth, I have found  some white by neenah is perfect for me. Still doing this method of water coloring you need to be careful with the amount of water and ink. I would say this method is an advance skill technique, but give it a try if you love to watercolor, I love the look.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!
