Green Happy Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the color challenge on our
team page:

I managed to use three of the four greens along with Merry Merlot and Flirty Flamingo.

The base of my card is Mossy Meadow and then a layer of the So Very Vellum DSP from SAB.

The stamped set I used is also a SAB set called Tags in Bloom.

I colored the flowers using Merry Merlot and Flirty Flamingo.
I stamped with Black Stazon and then watercolored using my Aqua Painter.
The leaves are colored using Garden Green ink.

I die cut the image using a Stitched So Sweetly Die
and added it to my card base with dimensionals.

I stamped a couple of extra flowers and colored those to add to my card as well.

The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments stamp set.

The Old Olive Ribbon is from he new Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo pack.
I finished up with a few basic pearls.

Happy Happy Everything

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made using a color challenge .

Our colors were Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, Whisper White Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay
Pick a minimum of three.
I used all colors listed but he Bermuda Bay.

I am obsessed with the Timeless Tulip Bundle.
I can't seem to put it away.

I stamped several Tulips using Petal Pink and leaves using Granny Apple Green.
I used the matching punch to cut them out.
I mounted with dimensionals my tulips onto a circle of Crumb Cake card stock.
I added the leaves in around the flowers and glued in place.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the DSP is from the Brights 6x6 pack.
I added a stitched scallop strip using a die from the Stitched Be Mine dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Black Memento ink onto Whisper White card stock.

I finished up with a few pink rhinestones from the Noble Peacock pack
and a small white twine bow.

Belated Birthday

Happy Monday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is a card I made using the challenge this week at

A beautiful color challenge:

I pulled out one of my fave sets, A Beautiful Friendship.

This set makes really pretty cards quickly. I do love it!

I stamped the floral images with Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape, my leaves with
Granny Apple Green and I did sneak it a bit of Crumb Cake
but since it is a neutral I thought it would be alright.
After stamping my floral images on my thick whisper white panel I embossed
with he Subtle EF.

I matted this with a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock and again with a piece of Whisper White.

The base of my card is Bermuda Bay and I added a piece of DSP from the
6x6 Brights pack.
I layered the DSP onto a piece of Whisper White that I die cut the top edge using a stitched scallop edge die from the Be Mine dies

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday set, I stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink onto a
piece of scrap white. I die cut using a die from the Stitched Shapes Dies and then added the circle to a  scallop circle from the Layering Circle dies.

I pulled a some twine from he Flax Ribbon and circled it around using a glue dot and added my sentiment piece over the twine circle with dimensionals.

I finished my card with a few Gorgeous Grape rhinestones from the Peacock Rhinestone pack.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps!!!

Over at Fab Friday
they have a pretty color challenge to inspire us.

I pulled out the Wonderful Floral Famelits to begin my card.
I die cut the leaf/trellis piece using some Mossy Meadow card stock.

I then used a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed it using the Basket Weave EF.

I added a strip of DSP from the Floral Romance Specialty pack
and that took care of the Petal Pink color

The Mossy Meadow piece was then added.

I die cut the sentiment piece using another die from the Wonderful Floral dies.

I stamped the sentiment, that comes from the
Southern Serenade set, with Black Memento ink.

The flowers also come from the Southern Serenade.
I colored with Calypso Coral ink and my water brush.
I fussy cut them out and added to my card with some dimensionals.

I used my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the flowers.
I finished it with a small twine bow and a few basic Pearls.

Thanks for sopping by!

Color Challenge....Friend

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The colors for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and any neutral of your choice. The dessert option is FLOWERS!!! Well, that is right up my alley!

When I start a color challenge card I first pull out a piece of each of the colors and see what strikes my fancy, I have to say I struggled a bit with this one. Not the flowers of course, I knew right away, the leaves certainly celery and the flowers blushing bride and so saffron, no problem there, but the problem was getting a layout and layer of papers that was pleasing to me. I hadn't intended to use the paper lace doily strip like yesterdays card but after trying some other things that I didn't like I grabbed the lacey doily piece and then it all came together!

The base of the card is whisper white and then I used some Blushing Bride that I had embossed with the square lattice EF. I added the strip of paper lace doily across the bottom. I used a nestie, label 4, for the middle sentiment piece. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin' Up "All Holidays" onto the label with Certainly Celery ink. The flowers and leaves were stamped onto scrap whisper white and then cut out and mounted with dimesionals. I added some silver pearls and a certainly celery satin bow.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Color Challenge....Because I Care

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the color challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

This color combo is so pretty, pear pizzazz, regal rose and so saffron. They are so springy!!! So I decided to make some daffodils, I saw this on some one's blog recently and now I can't find it, if you know let me know so I can give them credit and a link. The flowers are made from the Stampin' Up Growing Green stamp set. I stamped the flower onto some very vanilla card stock and colored in with so saffron and daffodil delight ink. The centers are 1/2 inch circles of so saffron and the are crumpled and pleated and then added to the center with a bit of mono glue.

The leaves behind the daffodils come from the Just Believe stamp set and the sentiment is from the Because I Care Hostess set. I used pear Pizzazz for my base and followed that with some very vanilla and the DS paper is from the Hostess prints pack. I added some regal rose card stock that was embossed with the square lattice and the perfect dots EF. I matted both with very vanilla card stock.

I added some regal rose ribbon and crochet trim ribbon across the middle and some basic pearls for accents in the corners and centers of the flowers.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

OCC....Happy Birthday!

Hello Peeps and Happy Monday!!!

Today I am sharing a card i made with the challenge this week on the Our Creative Corner Blog. It's a "Three Musketeers" color challenge which actually means an analogous color scheme challenge. So we are to choose any 3 colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. I choose, Red, Orange and Yellow, which translates in my colors as, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard. I have to admit, this is NOT my favorite card I have ever made, the colors are a bit much for my taste.

I used the SAB set Sweet Summer and water colored the flowers with the colors I choose. I also used some always artichoke for the leaves! The base of the card is Poppy Parade and I followed that with some pumpkin pie card stock and the DS paper from the Sweet and Sour Speciality Pack. I used a bit of more mustard that I had embossed with the square lattice EF, I cut the image out with my circle nesties and matted with a scallop circle nestie in poppy parade. I used some poppy parade ribbon and wrapped it around and tied a pretty bow. I was going to have the sentiment hang from the bow but couldn't get one I liked to work. So I just ended up stamping and using the word window punch and added it across the middle flower at the bottom. I finished it off with a few silver pearls and called it done!!

I have a mojo card to show you tomorrow that I like much better and this weekend will be a busy time on the blog, Saturday I will have my first item up as one of the new Design Team members on the Our Creative Corner Blog and the Paper Crafters Sample Design Team will be having a blog hop and of course the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, so be sure and keep an eye out for all the FUN!!!

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

PPA Color Challenge CASE

TGIF Peeps!!!

I made this card for the color challenge this week on the Pals Paper Arts Blog. When I saw the colors it made me think of a card by Karen Giron I saw here on her blog and also in the Stampin' Success Magazine. Her card used the kraft called for in the challenge and she had used old olive DS paper for her rolling hills, I just changed it up with some garden green and certainly celery DS paper. I used a different stamp for the sentiment and I added a bit of 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon at the bottom of the card.

I have to tell you sometimes CASEing a card is much harder than doing my own design. I struggled alot to get the hills look right. I like how the card came out and I can say that since I didn't design it......lol!

The tree is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. I inked up the leaves with garden green ink and then used my chocolate chip marker to add the trunk and branches of the tree. I stamped the tree trunk onto the garden green DS paper and then aligned it up to the trunk of the tree that was stamped onto the kraft base. The next two layers of "hills" are mounted with dimensionals. I added the ribbon afterwards. The sentiment comes from the "Kind & Caring Thoughts" stamp set and is stamped with black stazon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

I Miss You

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!

Today's card is made for two challenges on Splitcoast. The color challenge on Tuesday was to use basic Black, Always Artichoke and Rose Red and today's Ways to Use It Challenge is to use green.

I started with a base of basic black, followed with some always artichoke and then basic black again. I then used some always artichoke DS paper. I cut a top note die out and used that for my main image panel. I stamped the tree from SU's Branch Out set in chocolate chip and then made the leaves in artichoke. I stamped the boots with artichoke twice, once on the main image and then again on some scrap, cut them out and mounted them with a pop dot over the first pair. The rose red came into the card in the way of my butterflies, small amount, but still there. I stamped the bird with black and cut it out and glued him on the tree.

Wen the new catalog came out there was a thread on splitcoast about this set and how many of them did not "get" the boots. They made perfect sense to me.

In the summers we spent alot of time at my grandparents. They had a huge garden and we all had to help out with it. At the edge of the garden there was a huge tree with a table under it where we would all sit after working or when we needed a break. I remember there was almost always a pair of muddy boots by the tree, where someone had took them off after coming in from the garden. As a kid I did not like working in the garden that much, but looking back now it was great times and the best food came from that garden we eat on it all winter, the green beans, the potatoes, the tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, corn, squash, okra, peppers, you name it and grandma always had a few rows of flowers at one end.

Anyway, that is my card for today, a tribute to my grandparents and their garden! I miss them both!

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Teal Love

Good Morning Peeps. Hope you are all having a great week so far. It is cold and snowy and icy here. But suppose to warm up on Thursday!

Today's card is made with
Jen Del Muro's sketch. I also used a challenge on splitcoast for the colors, real red, baja breeze, taken with teal and whisper white.

I used the SU set A Happy Heart again for this Valentine card, it is kinda non-traditional colors, even tho there is the red. I stamped the tic-tac-toe stamp in red on white cardstock and then again on a scrap piece of white and also in baja. I then cut out all the x's and o's and put them on dimensionals on the main image.

I wasn't to sure about this card but it is kinda growing on me. My DD loved it and as soon as she saw it claimed it for her own. I told here I needed to get a picture before she took it!

The bottom layer is made with white and baja and the edge is a Martha Stewart punch.
The red piece is run through the cuttlebug with the heart embossing folder. The base is baja, followed by a layer of teal. I stamped my sentiment directly on the with piece of the bottom layers but it smudged, so I had to make another sentiment with the oval punches to "fix" my little blunder. Well, what do you think?

That's all I have for you today, thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
