So Thankful

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today's card share is one I made using the challenge at

This one happens to be another fun color challenge:

You have heard me say how I am obsessing over the red trucks this year
and I have been having fun
using the Ride With Me Bundle and coloring Red Trucks.
I stamped the truck image on Thick Very Vanilla card stock
and pumpkin image with Black Memento ink and
colored using my Blends.
I did fussy cut these out to add to my
Stitched Rectangle.

I cut it with the Stitched Rectangle dies using thick Very Vanilla card stock.

The base of my card is  Early Espresso card stock.
I used another layer of Early Espresso and embossed it using the Subtle EF.
I then matted that piece with Very Vanilla card stock.

I used the Buffalo Check Stamp and Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla to
make my side strip piece.
I used my Samparatus for the Buffalo Check, that makes it much easier to get
a nice coverage.

I used some thread pulled from the Burlap ribbon to tie over the Buffalo check
side piece.

The sentiment comes from the Beauty & Joy stamp set.

I added the truck rectangle piece to the card with dimensionals.

I finished up with a few orange rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone pack.

So Thankful

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the
sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

I  pulled out a few sets to complete this card, I used
Country Home for my milk can, Gather Together for my pumpkins, and
Daisy Lane for my "sunflowers" and stems/leaves.

I stamped them all with Black Stazon and colored with my
Aqua Painter and ink pads except the stems and leaves I stamped
with Old Olive and colored with Old Olive.

I fussy cut them all out and the Pumpkins and Flowers were embossed using
the Subtle EF.

The DSP is from the Come To Gather pack. I love the wood panel sheets,
in this pack...I have very little left!!

The milk can was added first with a few dimensionals.
I then added the front pumpkin with another few dimensionals.
I tucked and glued he two small pumpkins in behind the milk can.

I glued the flower stems down  and added the flower heads with dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Beauty & Joy stamp set. I stamped
with Black Memento ink and then used the Classic Label Punch to punch it out.
I slid the cut out back into the punch to flag the end.

I used my Wink of Stella Glitter pen to add some glitz and shine to the card.

The base of my card is Early Espresso and the layers are matted with Whisper White.
Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.
If you would like to buy the products for yourself,
I would be very happy for you to shop with me.

Fall Pumpkin Set

Hello Peeps!!!

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

I have been enjoying several days off work due to escorting Hubby to some
doctors appointments and to attend Grandparent's Day
at my Granddaughter's Preschool.
This was our first ever Grandparent's Day and oh man, I have to say it was sooo
much fun!!
We had a blast watching the little's sing a couple of songs they
learned for us and show us around their classroom.

Anyway I  had an idea to make a pumpkin with Sunflowers, much like the
floral arrangements that are popular this time of the year.
And when I made my first, I liked it so much I made a few more. 😆

I stamped my pumpkins, from the Harvest Hello set and my "Sunflowers" from
the Daisy Lane set, on thick whisper white with Black Stazon and
colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads.
I fussy cut out the Sunflowers and stems, the Pumpkin is Punched out with it's matching punch from the Harvest Hello Bundle.

This is the first one I made, I used Early Espresso for my base and the DSP is from the Come To
Gather paper pack.
Each Pumpkin and Sunflower is set on a Die Cut from the Nested Stitched Labels Dies.

Each card has a few similarities and a few differences.
Each has a different sentiment, from The Gather Together set, the Seasonal Wreath set and the
To Every Season stamp set.

I used the Birch Background stamp for this one and the Buffalo Check Background
for two of the others.

I also used the Corrugated and Subtle Embossing Folders.

I finished each card with a linen bow on the pumpkin and a few sticky back gold sequins that are from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.
If you would like to buy the products for yourself,
I would be very happy for you to shop with me.

So Thankful

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made using another new set from the
Holiday Catalog.
This one is Beauty & Joy.
A simple card, with a fall feeling to it.

I stamped the leaves using Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody.
The stem/trunk  is stamped with Early Espresso and the
basket is stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
I die cut out the image with a Stitched Nested Labels Die.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock.
I used a piece of Cajun Craze and embossed with the
Hammered Metal EF.
I used a strip of DSP across the bottom from the Come To Gather paper pack.
I added a strip of Cajun Craze across the area where the DSP meets the embossed card stock and
then a smaller strip of Gold Foil paper.
I then used three pieces of linen thread wrapped around the card stock and tied a pretty bow.

I added the image panel to the base with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the same set, is stamped with Early Espresso ink on a small strip
of whisper white and I hand cut the end to form the banner.

Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card.

Thankful for friends like you

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I have another card to share using elements from the Paper Pumpkin for August and
the Gathered Leaves Dies from the upcoming Holiday catalog.

This card is very much like the one I shared yesterday using
the same layout and other elements.

The base of this one is Crumb Cake.
I added the precut banner piece from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
The White die cut piece is from the Stitched Labels dies, love this
pretty die, don't you?

I die cut a couple of leaves from the Gathered Leaves Dies, using Merry Merlot
and Gold Foil.
The Crumb Cake leaf spray is from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

The sentiment is tamped with Merry Merlot ink.
The die cut piece it is on is from the kit as well.

The twine the bow is made with and the gold sequins are from
the Paper Pumpkin kit as well!

Crazy 4 Challenges......Thankful

Happy Saturday Peeps!!

Time for a new challenge at Cray 4 Challenges,
this  week our hostess has a beautiful fall color challenge for us!

Of course you don't have to do fall, but that is the direction I went.

I pulled out my Stampin Up Sheltering Tree stamp set to make my card.
I stamped my tree with Soft Suede ink and added the ground in with some Old Olive ink..
The leaves are done with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks.
I added a sprinkling of Cajun Craze leaves as well.

The sentiment comes from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set. I masked off the other parts of the stamp to just get this one word sentiment.
After finishing up with a small banner of pumpkin with some linen thread and a little blossom I still felt it needed some sparkle. So I added some drops of Copper Stickles in among the leaves, it added the perfect touch of glimmer even tho the camera does not show it that much!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog to see what the rest of the design team did with this challenge.

FMS....Thankful Thoughts

Hello Peeps!!

I have a fun fall card to share with you, I made this one using this week's sketch on the Freshly Made Sketch Blog .

Great sketch huh?
I have been playing around making some fall leaves and trying to convince myself that I DON'T need the new set in the Stampin Up mini called Wonderfall with it's matching die. I haven't convinced myself yet, I imagine it will be on my next order even tho I do have a few leaves sets already.
Anyway, aren't these leaves pretty?
I made them using the French Foliage set. I stamped this leaf image with Soft Suede ink onto three colors of card stock, I used So Saffron, Riding Hood Red and Pumpkin Pie. I then cut them out and sponged each, the So Saffron was sponged with More Mustard and Tangerine Tango.
The Pumpkin Pie leaf was sponged with Tangerine Tango and Cherry Cobbler ink and the Riding Hood Red leaf was sponged with Cherry Cobbler. They look pretty life-like don't' ya think?

The base of the card is crumb cake and the DSP is from the Orchard Harvest pack. I matted the DSP with More Mustard and Very Vanilla card stock.
I made a twine bow and added it to the leaves. The sentiment is from the retired "Grateful Greetings" stamp set.

The inside:

Thanks for stopping by today, I did get a chance to play a bit today so I have a couple of other cards to show you this week so stay tuned for those.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

PP67....Thankful thoughts

Happy Monday Peeps!!

Today I have a card to share made with the color challenge this week on the The Paper Players Blog. I really liked the colors when I saw the challenge:

I rarely ever use Bravo Burgundy, so I was eager to give it a go. I messed with this card forever and originally had used some leaves from the Stampin Up
Gently Falling stamp set but in the end I didn't like what I had done, so I took it all apart and started again. I did keep the original base and very vanilla embossed layer. I added a strip of Cajun Craze on the side that I embossed with the stripes EF. My Big shot got quite the workout on this card. The sentiment piece is another EF and I used very vanilla and stamped with bravo burgundy ink. The sentiment comes from the Stampin Up "Grateful Greetings" stamp set.

I made my "sunflowers" with the Daisy Die using More Mustard and Bravo Burgundy card stock. The centers of the flowers are circle punches and are embossed with the square lattice EF. I added a few leaves made with the little leaves sizzlet die. I finished it off with a few gold pearls.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Give Thanks

Happy Tuesday Peeps!!

You know sometimes we need to be reminded to "Give Thanks", not just at Thanksgiving but all throughout the year. One thing I am thankful for is this blog and all the support I receive from it. I have been struggling with my creativity the last few weeks, I have felt so overwhelmed  by little things, things that don't normally bother me are really weighing on me, I guess we all have times like that. I mentioned this yesterday on facebook and had so many of my friends and online friends post replies and contact me privately that it really made me feel thankful.

I am posting this card that I made yesterday, after finishing up my control freak swap cards and getting them all packaged up and to the post office, I really wanted to make something just for fun. I sit down at my desk with an idea, believe me this card looks nothing like what  I had in my head and it took me well over two hours to complete.
I do like the leaves and the swirls.
I LOVE the stamp sets used here from the Stampin UP Holiday Mini catalog, "Gently Falling and "Hand-Penned Holidays". The DSP is another favorite, Spice Cake from Stampin Up, it is perfect for fall and for the Gently Falling stamp set! Another cute stamp in the Gently Falling set are the Acorns, they are adorable huh?

Here is a close-up of the leaves which I stamped on very vanilla card stock with more mustard ink and rolled the edges with cajun craze ink. I cut them out glued to some soft suede card stock and cut out again. I know crazy, but I was trying HARD!!! LOL!!

I have to tell you I was a bit bummed, yesterday after I came home from the post office I found the cute little tag I posted yesterday in the floor tore to shreds by the cat!!! BLAH!!! Now I have to remake that!!!
Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING

SC349....Grateful

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the sketch challenge today on Splitcoaststampers. This is a great sketch and I loved working with it, it is definitely a keeper!

I have been having fun playing with this new set from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini called "Gently Falling", it is two step set. There are the inside of the leaves and then the outlines are a separate stamp. I decided to just use the outline stamp, I stamped with earlly espresso ink onto some very vanilla cardstock, I then sponged in some daffodil delight ink into the middle of the leaves and then some cajun craze ink around the outer edges of the leaves. I then cut them out to add to the card.

The base of the card is Early Espresso card stock, I then used some crumb cake and the DSP id from the Frostwood Lodge paper pack.

The middle is more crumb cake and very vanilla that was embossed with the square lattice EF.
I made the sentiment flag with crumb cake and the sentiment is from the "Always Thankful" stamp set and is stamped with Early Espresso ink. The button is from the retired Deck the Halls button pack. I tried a few things in the corner, first just some gold brads, didn't like that, then tried a couple of antique brads, still not so good, then I remembered the glitter brads and I thought the gold ones looked nice. Added a bit of bling to the earthy card! :)

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY STAMPING!!!

OCC.....gratitude

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!
It is time for another new challenge on the OCC Blog.

Our challenge hostess today is Holly Kean from Kean on Paper and she has a fun challenge for us:

Stamp Happy
Texture can come in many forms.
Use a graphic stamp (or even a few) on patterend paper (sentiments don't count!)

I was a bit perplexed on what to do for this challenge, I wanted to use this new set from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini called "Gently Falling", it is a 2 step stamp set. The solid inside and the outline. I decided to stamp my leaves onto some of the First Edition DSP.  I stamped the solid leaves with More Mustard and rolled it with some Cajun Craze ink, I then stamped the outline stamp with Early espresso ink. I then cut them out to mount to the card.
The base of the card is Earrly Espresso card stock and then I followed that with some Pool Party card stock that I embossed with the square lattice EF. If you notice I got the card stock in the EF slightly crooked, but I didn't notice till I was putting it all together, so I just left it.
The DSP across the bottom is from the new Spice Cake paper pack. I used some of the Spice Cake Designer Fabric and one of the Spice Cake Designer Buttons. I tore a strip of the fabric and wrapped it around the card and threaded it up through two of the holes in the big button and ties it in a knot.
I cut the circle and scallop circle with my nesties using more More Mustard and Very Vanilla card stock. I added the leaves to the card with some dimesionals. The little sentiment flag is made with a stamp from the "Fabulous Phrases" stamp set. I added two small brads to the top corners.

Be sure to check the Our Creative Corner Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with for this fun  challenge. I hope you can find some time to play along and if you do don't forget to link it up over on the Our Creative Corner Blog so we can all see it!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

GRATEFUL and a small Blog Break

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with the sketch challenge this week on the
Paper Players Blog. I wanted to make a Thanksgiving/Fall card for today's post and when I saw this sketch I knew I could make some pumpkins for the circles on the sketch.

I started the card with a base of Very Vanilla and followed that with some so saffron card stock and the DSP I used on the card is from the Autumn Spice paper pack from the Occasions Mini. Love that paper!! My pumpkins are made with pumpkin pie card stock and the large one is made with the wide oval punch and the small one is made with the 1 inch punch. I embossed all my punched pieces with the vintage wall embossing folder and sponged the edges heavily with Cajun craze ink. I used the Sizzix sizzlet Scribbles Swirls with old olive card stock to make the vines and little leaves. I hand cut the stem and sponged these pieces with old olive ink. I added some very vanilla satin ribbon all scrunched up and a few antique brads. The sentiment comes from the "Falling Leaves" stamp set.

I am taking a small blogging break for the rest of this week. It is a busy week here at my house and I also need a little rest to give my mojo some time to surface again. I am grateful to all my blog readers who stop by and look and for those who leave a comment or two and to those who e-mail me with questions or just to say they enjoy my creations!! It makes me happy to create and it makes me even happier to know someone out there is enjoying my creations! Thank you all and I will be back next Monday, maybe before with more fun stuff!!!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo Pumpkin Thank You

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing another card for the Late Night Stampers Thankful Challenge and I am also using the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I used the Autumn Spice DSP for this card along with some very vanilla card stock. I am hooked on this fun pumpkins. This one is made with the wide oval punch. I punched three ovals with pumpkin pie card stock and sponged it with Cajun Craze ink. I glued the two back ovals together and added the top oval with some foam tape. I then added a stem and a couple of swirls from the Sizzix Scribbles Swirls to the top of the pumpkin. I tied a small bow with some twine and added that to the pumpkin also.

The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set and I stamped with Cajun craze ink and hand cut the little flag. I added a few brads to finish it off.

Well, that is it from me today, thanks so much for coming by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC90.......Grateful

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

My card is made with the French Foliage stamp set from the mini. I stamped the images using crumb cake, pumpkin pie, more mustard and cajun craze ink onto very vanilla card stock. the base of the card is chocolate chip and I followed that with a piece of pumpkin pie card stock. I used the square lattice Embossing folder and sponged the edges with cajun craze. I wanted to put my ribbon across the bottom but it just didn't look quite right when I did so I ended up using my slot punch to thread the ribbon under and then up through to tie the bow. The sentiment is from the Falling Leaves stamp set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.
