A Little Bird Told Me Cards

These cards all measure 17.5cms x 8.5cm and are made using white linen effect card.
A Little Bird Told me Card a
A whole set of cards today, using a variety of pastel gingham and striped paper strips from Handy Hippo and bubble bird stickers from The Range.  I got nine cards from the packet of stickers which is pretty good going as I think they were about 99p a pack.

The flower borders were part of a present from Dianne in Florida, I love them so much, it was hard to start using them!

The sentiment is handwritten by me, which I thought it could cover all sorts of circumstances occasions.

This card measures 5ins x 5ins and is made using white linen effect card.
Bird Card Martha Stewart tags
I’ve been desperate to use all my lovely treasure from Diane and with two weeks of Easter holiday laying before me …. I have no better excuse!
Martha Stewart tags
Along with the Martha Stewart Tags and Making Memories metal flowers I have also used my Stampin’Up bird punch. Nothing fancy I know, and I can see where I can add more and improve it, but this is the first time I have used a doily on any of my cards ….. I am just so behind with the trends!

Bird On A Branch Card

This card measures 13cm x 13cm is is made using a ribbed effect kraft card.
Stampin Up Bird Punch Card
I thought I would try something a bit different, as I have never punched a shape out of a card blank before. I made the circle out using my 1 3/8” plain Stampin Up punch and then covered over it on the inside of the card with a blue Bazzill paper.
Stampin' Up Bird Punch
The bird was punched using my Stampin Up 2 Step Bird Punch (117191)  from  brown card and the wing from a remnant from the card blank. I’ve then added a blue flat back gem for the eye to finish the card.

This is a design I will use again and again, as my first attempt it is rather austere, but it wouldn’t take much to brighten it up by changing the colours of the cards and papers used and perhaps adding a flower or two.

Little Button Bird Card

This card measures 10cm x 10cm and is made using white linen effect card.
Little Button Bird Card
How simple is this little bird? It’s not my own idea, I stumbled upon it while looking on Google, but I just love it.
Picture 731
It’s made using a button, a googly eye and a bit of doodling. The yellow would be OK to go with an Easter theme, but now I’ve made this first card I have a few other ideas I’d like to try.  I’ve left the card blank, but it would be easy to write something like “ A little bird told me….. ” across the top.
