Vintage art with Meg's Garden

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Meg's Garden post.
This time I made this standing mini album using the new collection from Meg's Garden called French Garden.

I folded this stand to be my album base and this is how it looks from the side, just to show you how easy this fold is. I used a good chipboard piece 6*12'' long and scored it to 6-3-6 '' to make this fold.

This is a title side here again:

Most of the products are from Meg's Garden shop, but I added this ART sticker from PHP company, some bling and a word Vintage. All piece was inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink from Ranger.
Some embossing with brass, green  and gold were added over the chipboards.

And this is how it looks from the album side:

The whole mini album has 8 pages and as much as I wanted to add more, it became very bulky and impossible to  close.

And now for the inside pages:

I used French Garden papers and vintage women pieces  and cut outs on each page and added a word that describes this page.
And the next page here:

And more of the pages:

And the  back cover with just a few trims on the bottom:

The whole construction was binded with a spiral and  this is like those calendars we all see around, but hand made one.
Hope you got some inspiration from my vintage album and you sure can do yours with a similar technique.

Art with PHP and Want2Scrap

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
This month our PHP DT girls got some gorgeous products from Want2Scrap company to make a project with both companies products. So here is my " creation" for this call: Artist mini album made on a base of corrugated W2S album .

Supply list:
PHP products
Artist paper pad
Create paper
 Imagine paper
Art 3d title stickers
Art class 3d stickers
 Artist canvas stickers

Want2Scrap products
Assorted rectangles corrugated album
Mother of pearl Rhinestones
 Le Crème pearls
Allure Swirl- White pearls
Printer's tray embellishments
Doily set chipboard embellishments

 How to make this album:
As this is not a single piece project, I am not going to make step by step instructions for this project, but to show in general how I made this album.
Each piece of corrugated album need to be covered with a thin layer of gesso over the folds. Not much seen, but makes it more interesting.

Piece of Art paper- from 6*6'' pad and from two 12*12'' papers were added over each rectangle; all paper were inked around the edges and slightly distressed. Doilies chipboards were covered with a thin layer of gesso mixed with water and glued between the paper and the cardboard. I used Create chipboard for the upper cover and heat embossed it with Yellow embossing powder. Some pearls and swirls were added over the rectangles.  And just one last thing: when you make this kind of an album try to see each page with the previous and the next one over and under. You should arrange your stickers and embellishments the way they can be all seen and not covered with a page.

Me: finally I scrap myself

Something I made just for myself (and a lot of challenges too).
So great to have spare time from all DT duties because you work ahead. So I am a month ahead with all
my " must to do " duties and can do something just in case.
Light Mixed Media layout: with some masks, a lot of chipboards, some fussy cutting, stamping, good photo of  myself (doesn't happen a lot), nice sketch from Dusty Attic too. I don't use sketches a lot, but sometimes only, so it is " out of box" thinking for me .

Products used:
Paper, stickers: Kaisecrafts
Chipboards: Creative Embellishments, Want2Scrap
Paint, inks enamel paint:Ranger
Stamps: Inspired by Stamping
Flowers: Prima
Mask: Tando Creative
Texture paste, crackle paint, gesso: 13 arts

Made with Dusty Attic sketch for the challenge
 SSSS- STENCILS AND STAMPS
Creative embellishments- favorite chipboards- can't pick as I love them all and used A LOT
Things we love- I love my life and everything nature around- for Berry 71Bleu
 Girly for Scraps n' Pieces
My style for Evolution Scrap- layers, some MM, chipboards, paints, fussy cutting and still not to much gesso- this is my style
Scrap it girl- stencils or masks
 Clique kits- Anything goes
 Anything goes for Paper Issues

Altered folded book frame with FWAB

Hello my dear crafty friends!

Irit is here again and this time I have an altered project to share with you.
This is my " oldie, but goodie" folded book frame and ages ago I made a tutorial with step by step instructions in my own blog HERE, so if you want to try to make this lovely frame you can do it in just 10 minutes using my own tutorial.

This time I made it with a lot of FWAB products on both sides and as you can see those products are a MUST on this shabby / vintage project.
This is an overall look of this double frame (you can add photo on the lower left side if you wish, I decided to show it " bare").
And now for some close- ups.
This is a simple left side where I used Glitz papers and stickers, some mists and our delicious Kate corner Flourish Black and three simple rhinestones on the opposite corner.

And now the main part: a lot of layers inside and outside the project and the most gorgeous Jack Vine Green is over the frame.

This is it for this post and see you soon again with more FWAB inspiration!
