Happy Holidays with SNS May reveal

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second Sparkle N Sprinkle May reveal post.
This time I used Happy Holidays stamp set and it's the most adorable Holidays set that can be used for Christmas,New Year , both together or even for any other Holidays if you use the single Happy Holidays stamp.
So I made this colorful and non traditional Holiday card using glossy paper and three StazOn inks in red, blue and yellow and as the mix it made a slight rainbow effect too.

Product list:
HAPPY  HOLIDAYS STAMP SET 897
Staz-On inks
SNS Brushable glue 540
Oval and rectangle dies- craft shop
Metal corner

Here are more close- ups to this fancy and yet easy to make card:

And as always I have a full step by step tutorial for you to see and to use.

 Step by step tutorial:

1. Stamp the main sentiment using VersaMark ink and heat emboss it with SNS Black Detail embossing powder. Then die cut the oval as shown.

2. Use three StazOn inks to color the die cut oval over the stamped sentiment.

3. Die cut the basic card rectangle and ink the edges that will be seen later. You don't need to ink the whole piece.

4. Arrange the black cardstock die cuts under the inked ones and glue them as shown.

5. Stamp the Happy Holidays sentiment and hand cut it. Glue it over the card.
Add Ebony Black glitter Nuvo drops.

Step by step: 1.Dry emboss two book mark shaped pieces of silver thick foil with Sizzix folders. 2. Paint over the embossed foil with a mix of three alcohol inks and add some alcohol blending solution for the fancy look. 3. Add matting using Canvas Corp cardstocks and glue the embossed foiled pieces over the cardstock with Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry glue. 4. Stamp the words with Two Paper Divas Holiday Bingo words 2 stamps on one bookmark, using black pigmented ink. Heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. 5. Resin covered bookmarks tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my October tutorial made with Rebecca Baer's delicious stencils.
Also I already made a couple of bookmarks before (I am a book worm, so this is my must to craft item), but this time the technique is different and I made them over simple kitchen  foil and covered with a layer of resin to make it like forever.
So here are the steps for this project:
1.  Make three strip of a chipboard in bookmark size and cover them around with a kitchen foil. Use Heavy gel medium (I used Golden, but any heavy gel medium is good) with Rebecca Baer Mosaic Medium size stencil over the all three pieces together. Let the gel medium dry and it takes TIME!

This is how it looks after you take the stencil off- gel medium is still white. But after it's dry it becomes pretty much clear.

3. Use a few of your favorite Staz On inks over the texture. Just rub them over and over and you can also mix some of the primary colors to make more colors. Those inks are perfect for  non paper surface.

5. Add a thin layer of Gaze On medium over the colored pieces.
This medium  was made to make Staz On ink permanent no matter what. Let it dry.

6. There are no photos of resin filling step as I had to work without moving the covered pieces to the light to take photos. But it's just " mix resin according to instructions and the brand and cover the colored bookmarks from the front. Do not touch them for 24 hours. Now make another portion of resin mix and cover the back side and let them dry for another 24 hours."
Use your hole punch (heavy duty one) to make holes on the top  of the bookmarks and tie a piece of lace or ribbon on the top.
You can't see it , but  those bookmarks look and feel like a piece of glass and you can still see all stenciled texture.

Be the reason someone smiles today with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my third Two Paper Divas post for April.
This time I made a clean and not so simple card using one of my most favorite rainbow colors technique.
Usually I make this technique over huge heat embossed stamped background. This time I tried something new and it worked perfectly.
First I dry embossed the cardstock. Then I covered it with a thick layer of clear embossing ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Now I was back to Plan A and just made those colorful   circles with three basic Staz-on inks (red, blue, yellow) to make the rainbow colors circles.
The TPD new Be the reason sentiment was stamped and heat embossed over the circle and glued over the card.

I enter this to Sisterhood of Snarky challenges for Embossing- I have dry and heat embossing on this card

She has wings: VLVS tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this time I made an art  journal page tutorial.
I know that making art page tutorial is almost mission impossible. There is no right or wrong way to make the art page and there is no workshop that can teach you " copy writing" of those book pages.
So it's just to show you my way to use products and to cluster techniques on one single page  with just  bit of real dimension.
Step by step instructions:
1. Gather your favorite VLVS backgrounds and make  a full letter size stamped piece with them.  I wanted those stamps to stay a background ones, so I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder only.
Most of the stamps are not even masked, but just stamped one near another.

2. Grab you three primary Staz-On inks (Blazing Red, Azure and Mustard) and ink the stamped page with a mix of them. As you can see those 3 primary colors give us the full rainbow effect. I need to say that this works much better over the glossy paper, but I was short of the glossy one and used the regular Mixed Media thick white paper.

3. Now we need to add some dimension and the best way to do it on Mixed Media piece is with stencils and some paste. The paste I used is our Israeli Sand Texture one, but it's just similar to any non smooth texture paste on the market. I used a couple of Tando Creative stencils around the page and left the central part clean as we are going to add the focal point there anyway. Let the paste dry.

4. While waiting for the texture paste to dry, I stamped my big focal image using  Whimsical Lettered Man stamp. I know it's a man; so what? It looks like a strong courageous woman to me, kind of an Amazon.
I decided to use pigmented ink and clear embossing powder for this main image: glossy one and durable too as it goes to the front.
5. As I was still waiting for the texture paste to dry I heat embossed a pair of bare chipboard wings with a mix of colorful embossing powders and added a bit of clear glitter too.

6. From this point and on it was just to arrange all pieces over the background and to add whatever you want to add.
So I added a bit of stamped blue images using Solid  circles  stamp and  Butterflies row stamp.
I arranged the hand cut head and the wings over the page. Then I stamped two sentiments with the same Crafter's ink over the sticky canvas (this is a perfect ink  for  fabric stamping and all you need to do is to heat it/iron it to make it permanent). Some splashes of mists were added and my art page was done.

Here are a couple of close- ups to this page:

As you can see this time I decided to make a page according to sentiments. If it says" bold and bright"-  it will be bold and bright, even if those are not my usual art colors.
Thanks for reading my tutorial and see you soon again!

ARTplorations Tropical tag

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media tag post made for ARTplorations blog.
This time I decided to combine two different stencils over one single tag and to make the textured background using different mediums.
The first layer was made with  Botanical Lush stencil and Faber Castell DMC gelatos. I just grabbed a few of myGelatos and added them " as is" over the stencil.
The second layer was made with  Faber Castell DMC Gel Medium and Bubbles stencil and after it was dry (quite a lot of waiting time) the bubbles became clear and I just added green mist all over the background and wiped the clear bubbles to get this almost white look.
As the main focal point I added Die Versions palm trees  die cut  (this is just a  part of the bigger die with a small  house on it, but I just used a part of the die cut on the tag). The die cut was covered with a mix of glitters and I added a small metal bird charm over the tag too. Some ribbon was glued on the bottom of my tag and some was tied on the top.

I hope you like my Mixed Media tag and will try the stencil over stencil technique using you favorite painting mediums and clear mediums.
I enter this tag to Faber Castell DMC monthly challenge for Green.

Rubber dance Dream frame with tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I have two whole tutorials for one art piece I made with Rubber Dance stamps.
Introduction:
This project was made with two separate tutorials: one for a frame and one for the central stamped art piece. I made one tutorial for both parts of the project with one supply list, but they can be used as two separate ones with separate supply lists.

Supply list:
IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko: VersaMark Watermark stamp pad, StazOn inks: Blazing Red, Azure, Mustard; Walnut ink Antiquing Solution: Terra Cotta, Walnut Ink; Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray; Shimmer Spritz Sparkle, Jumbo  dauber; Fantastix tool
TCW: Wood grain stencil
Prima: Flowers
Flourish with a bling: Pearls
Other: white chipboard, ruler, gesso, glossy cardstock

Step by step instructions:

1. Stamp your Dancing Lady stamp with VersaMark ink over 8*6'' glossy cardstock and heat emboss with fine black embossing powder.

2. Cut a piece of a cardstock around the stamp to use as your mask and adhere it to the stamped image with repositionable glue as shown. Stamp around the mask (and over it) to make the background with two background stamps (Music and Lace) and add Art and Dream words on the left bottom of your stamped
piece. Use the same VersaMark heat embossed black embossing powder technique as we did previously.

3. Take some smaller stamps and fill the gaps around the image and on the background with the same technique. Add some stamped dots using the backside of some round brush or another small round tool, stamping directly into the pad and then heat emboss the dots in the same way as we did before.

4. Gather three StazOn inks that will be used as primary inks to make the rainbow look of our stamped and heat embossed image. Use three Jumbo daubers to spread three inks around the stamped piece and try to connect them to make this piece rainbow perfection. Those three StazOn colors work as primary ones and we can make all seven rainbow colors using just those three.

5. Mist your colored art piece with Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and when it's dry add some Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray to get some more interesting texture. Let it dry as we are moving to the Faux Wood frame tutorial for a few minutes.

6. Make your own brush tool: cut with scissors each second row inside the old or bad and unused tooth
brush. Apply gesso with this brush over the A2 piece of thin white cardboard and let it dry.

7. Make wood grain texture with more gesso and a wood grain stencil over the first gesso layer. Let it dry a lot!

8. Spray some Terra Cotta Antiquing ink over the dry wood grain texture and add more over the edges and less in the middle. Wipe the extra ink with baby wipe and add some more layers if you want your "wood" to be dark.

9. Make the faux plaque look with adding some dark ink lines with a simple metal ruler. Use Walnut Antiquing ink and Fantastix tool to make all those lines.

10. You sure don't need a tutorial to make this frame from your Faux wood piece and to insert the art
piece (really should be dry now) into the frame. Embellish it as you wish and enjoy your creation!

Same stamp- three ways (and one extra)

Hello my dear crafty friends !
This is my monthly post for WOW! Embossing Powders blog and this month we challenge YOU (and ourselves ) to make three different projects with the very same WOW! stamp (and a lot of WOW! Embossing Powders).
So here is my take of this challenge.

And as got a lot of MOJO , I  made not three , but four cards with the same stamp and totally different techniques. But wait! All cards  can be made in like 15 minutes and this is the best part of the crafting when you are out of time.
I need to  say that it took me much more than those 15 minutes, but it was because I had no clue about the technique I am going to use or the final result of this technique. So I just tried a lot and then , when I made a final cards for this post, it was certain that 15 minutes for each card are sufficient.
I used the same  Blizzard stamp  for all 4 cards and two different sets of sentiments to add the sentiment.
I made all 4 cards the same way: one stamped image with " this or that" technique  glued over the basic card.
Stamped  sentiment with the same technique and same colors as the background image and  matting with the same, as the card background, cardstock.
Card #1: Gradient embossing
For this card I made stamped with VersaMark ink over  cream color cardstock and made strips of heat embossing with 6 different shades of blue.
I used them from the lightest to darkest and mixed between regular and glitter colors.
The colors  used are: Opaque Pastel Blue, Nice Ice Blue, Primary Blue Topaz, Calypso, Opaque Primary Azure and Opaque Primary Process Blue.
The sentiment was stamped with Primary Blue Topaz over the same cardstock and I used a stamp from Everyday Sentiments set.

Card #2: Stamping over black cardstock
For this card I picked  Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine powder as golden effect over black cardstock is very classy and elegant. I used the very same stamp with this very same embossing ink and the result is delicious.
The sentiment was stamped over black cardstock the same way and I  used With Love set this time.

Card #3: White on white stamping and misted background
For this card I used white cardstock and Opaque Bright White powder and then misted it with a mix of  light gold mists. I used the sentiment from Everyday Sentiments set.

Card #4 and the last for this post: Rainbow technique over white embossing
This is a technique I already shared , but I love the result, so I made an extra card using this technique.
This time I heat embossed with  Opaque Vanilla white over cream cardstock as white on white can't be seen on my photos. Then I made the punched mask and  inked inside with three primary StazOn colors (Blazing Red, Azure and Mustard). The result of mixing  gave us this 7 colors rainbow. The sentiment was stamped in the same way, but as it was not much seen, I added some green ink over it. I used  With Love  set this time.

And now it's your turn! Play with use and win some of our gorgeous goodies to make my kind of cards!
