Believe in yourself art page

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is designers free style week and Steampunk/grunge is my most favorite style lately.
Add the fantastic Carabelle Studio stamps that you can buy in the shop to my Steampunk mood and you get this Believe in yourself page.

The page is made over a thick A4 size white cardstock.
First I added a few stencils with texture paste and then misted and painted them with a mix of Distress inks and different mists to get this vintage background. A few Carabelle Studio stamps  were stamped with permanent black ink to add some interest to the background.
Then I added a cluster made of thin chipboards and stamped the Carabelle Steampunk heart to be hand cut, misted and added over the cluster.
The red paint drop were added to imitate the blood drops of the heart.

The sentiment was made with a few Rubber Dance stamps that were stamped over black cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The sentiment was actually made as a collage of four different stamps. This sentiment stamps set is just the blessing for any art journal artist as you can make dozens of different inspirational sentiments just with  one stamp set and each and every sentiment is totally unique.

Here is some close- up to the main stamped image.

Thanks for being here with me today and see you next weeks with a totally different project.
And if you want to see more of my work you are kindly invited to my own blog.
I enter this project to Craft Stamper Anything goes November challenge.

Live your Dream: huge Mixed Media tag with Magenta

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and I am going to share my huge Mixed Media tag made with a lot of gorgeous Magenta stencils and stamps.

This is a 9*4.5'' tag (almost 22*11 cm) made on the corrugated cardboard base.
The white thick cardstock was covered with texture paste over with one of  TM53 Background Trio stencils. When it was totally dry the mix of mists was added over the tag.
Then some letters were painted with TM219 Alpha and Number duo stencil)-alpha part of it- and teal acrylic paint.

For the next step the stamped images were added over the tag. As it's almost impossible to stamp properly over this thick texture I stamped  Blossom Square image over the white tissue paper with permanent black ink (Ranger Archival) and then glued the stamped and torn pieces over the tag as shown. Actually it was stamped three times and one of the piece was adhered as is in the middle and the other two were glued by pieces on the bottom and on the top.

The " Live your dreams" sentiment was stamped with permanent black ink over white cardstock and then misted and trimmed to fit the colors and the size of the finished tag.
I added the die cut doily that was cut into two pieces over the tag and made the flowers , chipboard and lace cluster as the focal embellishments point of the tag.
I really hope that you like my huge Mixed Media tag and would try to make a similar project using our delicious Magenta products.

Make art - Mixed Media canvas with Magenta

Hello my dear crafty friends!
My name is Irit Shalom and I am an Israeli designer. I am totally thrilled to be a DT member for Magenta and I would try to share the most versatile crafty inspiration with you.
So for my first blog post I made the Mixed Media art canvas with quite a lot of Magenta stencils and stamps and it's my tribute to ART.

First I worked with stencils and the texture paste and then added acrylics and mists over the canvas. All stamping was made with permanent black ink directly over the canvas and this is a reason that it's not  really dark or visible. Next time I would show you another technique that I love more and the stamping is much more visible.
I made a bit of black pen outlining around the textured images and added the old used paint brush with the flowers as my only embellishments for this project.
Here are some close-ups to the creation:

IBS TAG tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Inspired by Stamping July post.
This time I decided to make a Mixed Media tag and to stay in this summery green color pallet.
So this is a tag  made and I made written tutorial for you, also not the photos step by step one.

1. Cover Tando Mixed Media board with a thin layer of white gesso.
2. Use Harlequin Tando stencil with DecoArt texture paste to make your background.
3. Paint Tando Iron gate (half of the chipboard piece) and Tando Wings with white gesso.
4. Glue the gate part, the wings and add some resin handmade swirls over the gate chipboard.
5. Mist the whole piece with a mix of Lindy's Stamp Gang and Tattered Angels green mists. Some of the mists have a bit of copper mica powder and this is the copper you can see over the gate.
6. Stamp over the dry misted wings using Inspired by Stamping old and retired (sorry) background stamp with permanent Ranger black ink.
6. Stamp four Inspired by Stamping Butterflies over the thick white cardstock with clear embossing Ranger ink. Heat emboss them with Copper embossing powder and hand cut all 4.
7. Mist the embossed and hand cut butterflies with  the same green mix of mists. Let them dry and them glue them over the art piece as shown.
8. Die cut Inspired by Stamping Love word  and heat emboss it with the same copper embossing powder. Glue the embossed die cut as shown.
9. Punch a hole on the top of Mixed Media board and tie IBS lace ribbon.
10. Add a touch of copper wax (Pentart) over the chipboard pieces and around the tag edges.

Here are some of the close- ups to this art tag:

Sin City bookmark

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my book mark tutorial made for Sin City stamps blog.
This is one of my first attempts with Misti and my very first attempt with water color markers and I made it in my own and different stamping way as you can see in my small tutorial.

Product list:
Sin City stamps - Natural Beauty stamp set

Other products:

Misti Stamping tool
Water color paper
Spectrum Noir markers
Black archival ink
Black cardstock
Twine and bead

Step by step tutorial:
1. Arrange the water color paper and the stamp in the Misti tool. Cover the stamp with pink and green water color using markers. Wipe the paper with baby wipe and stamp over it.
As you can see it's just the color base and not the fine stamping seen on the paper.

2. Leave the cardstock and the stamp in the same place. Ink the stamp with black ink and stamp over the water color image.

3. Stamp the leaves with another Sin City stamp in the same way: first the marker color over wiped cardstock and then the black fine image over it.

4. Add more leaves images over the cardstock piece. Make some without the baby wipe to get another stamped look of the same stamp.
Make masks by stamping with ink on  thin paper and cover the stamped images with these masks.
Now  stamp over the images with the same two steps technique.
P.S. The left piece is just the left over to cover the Misti tool and not to be used as a part of a project.

5. Cut the stamped piece to a book mark size. Add the black cardstock matting. Make a hole and tie the bead over the twine.

Shine on clear art deco with SinCity

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and I am going to share my lovely stamped project made from the both sided of acrylic piece.
There is a bit of a problem to take a good photo of double sided clear project and as much as I tried this is the best possible.
Believe me- the actual result of much more gorgeous and shiny and artistic. But you can just try to make  a similar project and to see how easy and fast it  can be made.

Supply list:

Other products:
Acrylic board- 6*6'' and a small for the sentiment
Black pigmented ink
Clear embossing powder
Mix of achohol ink
Alcohol blending solution
Alcohol ink felt applicator
Gold acrylic paint

Step by step directions:

1. Stamp three butterflies randomly over 6*6'' acrylic tile. Use black pigmented ink and clear embossing powder. You can also use a kind of solvent permanent ink (Staz- On) over the acrylic surface, but the heat embossed effect looks much better.

2. Stamp the ferns and the flowers from the back side of your acrylic tile. Use the same ink and heat emboss in the same way as the front of the tile.

3. Apply a mix of alcohol inks (3 to 4 colors, not more) using felt applicator.Apply the inks on one side only- you pick the side. Add a few  drops of alcohol blending solution for the interest. Repeat this step until you feel that the colors look good.

4. Stamp the Best Wishes sentiment on the small acrylic tile using the same technique as on previous steps.
Paint the back side of the stamped sentiment with gold acrylic paint. Let the paint dry.

5. Paint the edges of the stamped large tile with gold acrylic paint . Adhere the stamped Best Wishes sentiment over the front of the tile.
