CAS- ual Fridays Forget your trebles

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our new CAS- ual Fridays challenge!
This time we challenge you to make something with treble key.
The only thing I had in my stash were those music chipboards as I forgot to order the proper CAS- ual Fridays stamp sets and believe me - they have a lot of them! My fault. So I used CAS- ual Fridays sentiments and made this music card with  a real music sheet.
As you can see you can do anything music as I did and to enter our challenge for the next two weeks.

Amazing you : SNS March release card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first  Sprinkle n' Sparkle March post.
Irit is here  today and I am going to share a lovely oriental card made with one of the new released stamps and quite a lot of SNS  embossing powders.
First let me say that our new release is just gorgeous and in my personal opinion this Paisley Elephant stamp is the " Must have" one. It's pretty large and detailed and easy to cut after stamping; it's the stamp that you can color with all possible markers, but you also can mist in a second like I did in my tutorial.

Product list:
EP By the lake EP400
Cardstock- AC, Papericious
Dies- Cherry Lynn and non branded
Texture paste
Indian embellishments
Mists- Tattered Angels

Starting  March  , SNS is doing something new.  Instead of a traditional blog hop, the designers will begin showcasing the new sets on the 5th of each month and one lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate to SNS will be chosen at the end of each month.

In order to be eligible to win, you must comment on both the SNS Blog and a Mystery Designer's blog (will be checked for compliance).  The more often you leave comments on the Designers' blogs and on the SNS Blog, the better your chances of winning the prize!

Some details are here and then the full tutorial:

 Step by step tutorial:

1. Cut your Papericious (or other) cardstock as shown to fit the top and the bottom of the card.

2.Stamp the Paisley Elephant  over white cardstock with pigmented black ink and heat emboss with Black detail embossing powder.

3.Hand cut the stamped image and mist it with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist. Let the image be totally dry.

4.Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set and color it with the same mist using baby wipe. Arrange the sentiment as shown.

5.Make your  cardstock stencil with a die cut card panel  for one time use. Cover the card base with this stencil and embossing paste.

6.Sprinkle By  the Lake embossing powder over the wet embossing paste and heat emboss it. Don't try to make it perfect mas this is a Mixed Media background and it's never perfect.

Mist the heat embossed background with TA blue mist  and let it dry.

7.Glue the cardstock strips from the previous step as shown.

8.Glue the elephant image and sentiment and some Indian embellishments over the card.

Your card is done! Enjoy it!

Topflight stamps with Crafty Individuals

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post made for Topflight stamps shop.
Irit is here today with a new Topflight Stamps shop inspiration.
This week the designers were challenged to make a project with Crafty Individuals stamps  and this is my shaker card made with one single, but so powerful stamp from this company.

I made the patterned cardstock background and made the shaker with a chipboard painted frame.
The inside image was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
Then the white cardstock was colored with a mix of distress inks and covered with clear transparency as it should be with shakers.
This card looks like a framed piece of art and it is so easy to make a similar card with this gorgeous Crafty Individuals stamp that you can find in Topflight Stamps shop.

And here is a stamp I used to make this card:
Dancing Dragonflies

Thanks for reading my weekly post.

If you would like to see more of my work you are mostly welcome to my own blog.
See you all next weeks with a totally different stamping inspiration!

Fly away tag

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post!
This is a tag made with Scrapmatts stencils and chipboards and Papericious paper collection.
It's a kind of encouragement tag and I made the double sentiment saying : Go and find yourself and then fly away".

Both sentiment parts are arranged over the Scrapmatts chipboard pieces made with cardstock and stickers.
Chipboards were painted with Prima Spark and Metallic paints.
I used two stencils for the textured background, but only the lower one is still seen.

I enter this to some web challenges:

Altered embellishments for Mixed Media Monthly- all chipboards , die cuts and even flowers are altered with paints and mediums

Fabric Flowers necklace tutorial with Papericious

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last July post made for Papericious blog.
Irit from Irit Shalom's Designs is here today and
this time I was asked  to make a tutorial using Papericious most gorgeous fabric flowers from the last release.
So as all of us already made Mixed Media pieces and scrapbooking layouts and cards with these flowers I decided to make an altered necklace and it's a real wearable art piece.

And as always I made a small (really small this time) tutorial how to create this necklace.

1. Paint a few pieces of Papericious chipboard with Papericious Black Heavy gesso and let them dry.

2.Use proper adhesive and add black and gold embossing powder over the black painted chipboards.
I used the old products that I have in my stash, but any embossing powder adhesive (clear inks etc) and any mix of black and gold powders will do the job.

3.Mist the fabric Papericious flowers with black mist and let them dry.

4.Add Papericious Crystal Clear powder using Glossy Accents over the black flowers.

5. Arrange the necklace using the heat embossed chipboard pieces, misted and white flowers and some Papericious lace and gold jewelry findings from your stash.
To be sure that this piece is wearable I added a thick layer of clear resin over the back of painted and heat embossed chipboards. This step takes a lot of time because of the very long drying time, but it's totally " must to do" step if you leave in the hot country like mine.

And another look at the finished necklace:

Hope you liked my small and easy tutorial and would try this project by your own.

Papericious Azaealian collection inspiration: Wedding Mixed Media layout

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Papericious inspiration .
This is Irit from Irit Shalom Designs here today and I am going to show you my new wedding layout made with most gorgeous modern and graphic Azaealian new collection.

This is my dear daughter wedding photo from last September and it was made in black and white.
So for this photo  blues and a bit of yellow gold were added to make it shine, but still the photo is the main issue of this project.
Backround cardstock was covered with some small stencils with texture paste and then painted with  white gesso, so the black is seen as grey now.
More splashes were made with another stencil under the photo.

I hand cut  cardstock patterns such as triangles and waved strips and added them vertically over the page.
Chipboards and paper cut " story" were used to make the visual triangle around the photos.
Each chipboard was painted with black gesso only.
And as the last move to connect the all elements I made the crackle paste frame over the photo and when dry misted the whole page with yellow and light blue sprays.

Summer canvas

This altered canvas was made with Parickley Pear rubber stamp Life doesn't have to be perfect as the statement using Tando Creative  and Tim Holtz stencils, DecoArt texture paste, different mists and Creative Embellishments chipboards. The image is from Tim Holtz Lost relatives set and the background cardstock is from Canvas Corps. I made is totally  monochromatic as lately I am in love with yellow and 50 shades of grey (not the book, the colors only).

I enter this piece to some web challenges:
