CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sketch challenge

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our CAS- ual stamps Sketch challenge.

No automatic alt text available.
This pretty sketch is just a starting point. You can do whatever you wish with it and as you can see you don't need to use hearts. For example I made it with punched circles.
To make this card I used Modern Petals stamp set. I stamped the largest border and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then 8 circles were punched and layered over the bigger punched black cardstock  circles.
One last circle got this #1 sticker and I made the sentiment using RAD 2 stamp set. This set is  the perfect set  for so many different sentiment you can build while making your cards or other projects.

And now some close- ups for you to see:

There are no genre restrictions for this challenge. Link up your clean and simple designs or layer it on -- the choice is yours.  Make sure to link back to this blog post and include the graphic below in your post for consideration of being chosen a winner.

Scrapmatts October inspiration: Travel layout

Hello my dear crafty friends! This is my layout made as a part of my inspirational post made for Scrapmatts company.
I don't scrap myself too much, so whenever i have good photos and lovely projects I scrap a bit about our travels.
And as we travel a lot I don't even remember what country it was, also I am pretty sure is was somewhere in Southern or Eastern Europe and it was last year.
So I made this layout with DCWV travel collection and as always the Scrapmatts chippies are my real stars.
I added two circled chipboards around the title on the top and the subtitle on the bottom. Both were painted in dark red to add some additional color to this mute layout.
The subtitle is the Scrapmatts word TRAVEL painted in black and layered over Scrapmatts filmstrip (painted in black too).
All around the page I added green ink circles using Scrapmatts Circles stencil. It looks like a kind of leaves and complete the circles  that are present over the page.
A chipboard chain is added under the photo to frame it and to separate from the patterned background.
An here are some close ups to this page:

And here is a list of Scrapmatts products used on this page:

Forever and Always layout with Papericious

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first ever post as a Papericious Design Team member.
My name is Irit , I am and Israeli designer and Mixed Media artist and I am totally thrilled to be on this fantastic team and to design with all those gorgeous products.
The first thought I had when I opened my DT box and found the vest ever Wedding  kit was how lucky I  with all  lovely wedding photos from my dear daughter Ortal's last year wedding.
Actually her twin sister is getting married  on September 30 and I will have more delicious wedding photos for my later crafting with the leftovers of this collection.
Lately I try to scrap more than one or just two photos. This layout has four of them.
The background clock is a photo of my living room clock (the bride was at my home before the ceremony). And as the only thing we were thinking about was to be on time, this clock is a significant part of  my daughter's wedding day. So it's here, but a bit hidden in between few layers of cardstocks.
The main photo is the bride, as it  should be (says Mom of the Bride).
Other two photos are the top photo of just married couple and the bottom photo of my new Son in Law with the ring on my daughter's finger. Both of those photos were die cut with circle dies . I really believe that for wedding layouts circles are the must. It's like the wedding rings and the connection of the new weds.
Here you can see the layout layers- it's pretty much 3d, but still not too bulky.

An now for some close ups.
Here is the main embellishment cluster made with lace flower that was then layered with one silk pink ribbon flower . On the top I added the pink  ribbon bow with the long tails.

The right top corner with the couple photo was embellished with lace butterfly and hand cut and colored flower circle using paintable  piece  and embellished with natural sequins.

Look how gorgeous is the metal " Just Married" piece on this top cluster!

The title was die cut  and misted using Wedding kit sentiments and then embellished with different sequins.

And just one last close up of the main part of this layout.

I really hope that you got some wedding inspiration from my layout and see you in a week with a totally different wedding project made with the same Wedding kit.

Mixed Media canvas with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and this is my take for BoBunny Mixed media  day using the most lovely Sweet Moments collection.
Mixed Media is a lot of things. These can be art pages, tags, alterations, but the most known are art canvases. So as my first Mixed Media post for BoBunny I decided to make a 10*10''  altered canvas in scrapbooking style.
It's so easy when you have a lovely photo and the best ever BoBunny products!
So my two adorable 3 and 5 years old grand children are the humane stars of this canvas and all BoBunny products are the real stars of this creation.

Sweet Moments Mixed Media canvas by Irit Shalom

The whole canvas was covered with BoBunny gesso and when it was dry I added texture using two BoBunny stickable stencils: Flower Power and Lace (the lace border only).
As I was short of texture paste I just made mine using BoBunny gesso with a small amount of Plaster of Paris (this you can buy for cents in each and every Home store).
When the texture was dry I added a mix of BoBunny  Mixed media products.
The greens over the background are a small portions of Mint Glimmer Spray.
The pinks around are Tutut Pearlescents that I just added with my messy fingers.
The golds are both Gold Glimmer spray and Gold Glitter paste.
Believe me- my hands were really messy as I work with hands  only while doing my Mixed Media backgrounds.
Remember to let each color / medium to be totally dry before you add another color, unless you want a brown messy look.
I added a few strips of lovely patterned paper from Sweet Moments collection and I didn't even use any glue.Just add the strips over wet mediums (gesso or texture paste) and add a thin layer of gesso over the strips.

The matting for the photo was made with Sweet Moments Misc Me Journal contents  and this is a time to say that those jorunalling cards are just perfect for any project and  not intended to be for Misc Me projects only.

The main embellishment cluster was made with Noteworthy pieces and then the largest Sweet Moments Layered chipboard sticker was added as the title of my art piece.
The yellowish flowers are from Noteworthy pack and I just colored them with Gold and Tutu Pearlescent to change a color and to add a bit more  gold over the canvas.
As the final embellishment touch I added just a small piece of Frosting Jewels.
Tou can also see the wide areas of crackled texture on this photo and around the whole canvas.
Those corners were made with BoBunny Crackle primer and Cracle White paste and covered with the same mediums as the stencilled areas and this was the later add- on.

The photo was embellished with Noteworty tab and a few Combo stickers made the sub- title of this canvas.

And then I decided to add some die cut swirls to connect the photo with the title in a more combined way.
So a couple of swirls were die cut with BoBunny Flourish die.
Some Emerald rhinestones were the final touch of this piece.
And as you can see I didn't stamp! And nothing happened. You can do a Mixed Media art without stamping. (This was a message for all of those who are afraid to add stamping over the background and to ruin the already finished background. So I was afraid to ruin it and decided not to you stamps at all.)

Everything is possible over the rainbow

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my small, but lovely altered fan tutorial made Earth Safe Finishes company.
Small one, but pretty.
This is a less then $1 fan you buy in any craft shop and it comes in this wooden finish with some flowers on the top. I decided to make it a bit whimsical and maybe even a bit odd. Like who thinks about fish over the rainbow? I thought about all things impossible and if pigs can fly, fish can be swimming over the rainbow.
So here is my paint tutorial and I used Ann Butler's Iridescents in all rainbow colors here with some Earth Safe Fnishes mediums later over the die cuts.
1. Paint the fan with a mix of rainbow colors as close to the real rainbow as you can with colors we have from Iridescents.

2. Die cut two fish image and a few grass pieces and colors them with blue and green Iridescents paints as shown. Let them dry a bit.

3. Glue the die cuts over the fan with ESF Gel Medium and cover the whole piece with a thin layer of ESF Sealer.

Connected by art tag

Hello my dear crafty friends! This is Irit from Rubber Dance DT here  with my fancy tag I made using a lot of Rubber Dance stamps.
I made this tag as a possible submission for Rubber Stamp Madness print call. I didn't make the call with this tag, also I  made it with another Rubber Dance piece for the very same theme. So now I can share it with Rubber Dance stamps lovers and I think it's a  pretty tag to any artistic woman between us.
The background was made with stamps from the Round in Circles set and I used mists from Tattered Angels to cover the background. I also added some black pen doodling in a kind of faux stitching.
The main images of artistic women from Women Collage set  were all stamped with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I punched the circles and arranged them all over the tag.
The sentiment was made with Tim Holtz stickers and it's my own one. I thick that we all are united in own so called " week" gender and connected, even if we live far away, by our art passion. I think that this is a good sentiment to be produced as a stamp.

Here you can see some close- ups too:

And all of those gorgeous stamps can be found in Rubber Dance shop HERE!

LIve, laugh, love card with SNS

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last post as SNS Guest designer for 2015.
Those were great three months and I love the products I got and my projects made with those products.
So my last card is a bit artistic.
I used artistic patterned paper from PHP  and added my own variation to  those patterns on the background using SNS Dimensional glue and a few glitters.
I wanted the glitter to become a part of the paper, so I just added a few spots and covered them with Fire Engine Red glitter, Bubble Gum glitter, Ocean glitter and Pine grove glitter.
I really love those  perfect glitter dots over the paper.
Then I stamped the main image using Burton- HEURE DE PARTY set- just one image with three faces that I adore! The image was stamped with pigmented black ink and heat embossed with black EP. Then it was colored with alcohol markers.
The sentiment is a part of a totally different stamp set- Pink ribbon background. I stamped just a few words from this huge background set with orange ink and used the patterned paper again.
Some punched borders and a big fabric flower- and this non  so usual card was done.

I hope you liked my GD projects made for SNS as much as I loved their products. I want to thank the company owner and the DT coordinator for a chance to be a part of this great team.

Give thanks card with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends and weocome to my frist Two Paper Divas post for November.
November is a Thanksgiving month in USA (not here), so I sure got some new released Thanksgiving products- both TPD stamp and PHP paper and stickers. And this is the card I made with both of them.
I stamped with new Autumn Word Block TPD stamp and then misted the white cardstock with Tattered Angels  golden mist and added a few golden splashes around the card too.
