Best day layout with BoBunny Sunshine Bliss collection

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today with a lovely and sunny baby girl layout made with a new and just released Sunshine Bliss collection.
This collection is so versatile. You can do baby girl pages or projects and you can also use it  for bright summer crafts and there are darker green cardstock designs in this collection that are great fit even for some Mixed Media projects.
I decided to make a baby girl layout just because the photos I used was a great fit for the colors.
This is my adorable grand daughter Netta who was here just 16 months old. She is a lovely and smartest  almost 5 years old now,but these photos are so great to scrap again and again.
So I made this layout with cut out photo as the background was out of the color range and made double matting for the cut out photo part with stamps.
The layout is pretty dimensional, but not Mixed Media kind.
Also I stamped over the background, but it was for more interest , not for making it messy.
Actually I really love classic scrapbooking and I am really sorry that it's out of the trend right now.
I made double title using this collection's Thickers and one single layered chipboard.
Some so called " journalling" was added with Combo stickers.

I used Vicki Boutin Mixed Media inks  to color the bare chipboards " as is"- just  grab ink over the pieces and let them dry as these inks are pigmented. You can also heat dry the inks or add some clear embossing powder over the ink.
The Noteworthy die cut flowers were embellished with green pearls and more  jewels were added over the layout.

Here you can see all layers of this page, but it's still a flat scrapbooking page that can be kept in a clear pocket.

Baby cubes gift box video tutorial with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new BoBunny video tutorial post.
This time I made this lovely Baby Girl cubes box using the new, just released and most gorgeous Little Wonders BoBunny collection.
I made the cube sketch by myself and as you can see on my video tutorial it's an easy sketch and all you need  are two cardstock pieces cut to 12*8'' size and then it's just a matter of scoring them, folding and arranging them to this 3d cubes box.
In my video I used American Crafts blue cardstock just to show the sketch, scoring and folding as the sample. The actual project was made with American Crafts light pink cardstocks.
This is how it looks from the side:

Some more photos of the finished project for you to see:

The flower cluster was a piece that I made with craft shop flowers for another project and never used.
The colors were just perfect for this project and the option of folding this metal trinket into half was the perfect way to glue it over the cube.

You can watch my video HERE- and I hope it's pretty good as I am not a huge video filming expert after all.

Makin's Clay Jewelry set tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Irit  is here today and I will show you how to make a fancy jewelry set using Dragon Egg Pinterest tutorial inspiration.
This is my own version of this technique. The original tutorial show the work with foil over the polymer clay. I don't have any foil or even scalloped polymer clay knife. So I worked with metal leaves and scalloped cutter, but the result is very similar, also not in colors.
So here is my final project: a necklace, pair of earrings and a key chain/bag chain all together:

And now here is my tutorial for you:

1. Roll half package of Black Makin's air dry polymer clay over Makin's Clay® mat using Makin's
Clay ® rolling tool from the set.

2. Add a thin layer of enamel  powder adhesive over the rolled clay sheet.
You sure can use any other adhesive that  keeps metal leaves over the surface; I used whatever I had and it worked just perfect.
Add a random layer of silver leaves over  adhesive and let it dry.

3. Add another layer of enamel adhesive and fill with a mix of copper, red gold and gold leaves as shown.
Let the adhesive dry, but don't wait till the clay is dry.

4.Use scallop cutter or scalloped clay knife if you own it and make a few scalloped strips from the metal covered clay piece.

5.Roll another half of Black Makin's Clay® and use Makin's Clay® Oval and Round cutters to make all pieces shown that will make all three jewelry projects.

6. Cover the oval pieces with the any glossy glue and add all scalloped pieces from both sides of the ovals.
Use the cutter again to cut the extra pieces of the scallops.

7.Cut the circles from the foiled sheet with Round Makin's Clay® cutters and cover the black clay circles from both sides.

8.Make holes in the beads and trinkets and let it dry overnight.

9. Arrange the necklace using the largest oval piece, larger circles and smaller round beads.

Make the earrings with smaller ovals and small circles as shown.

10.Now arrange the key chain with the last two beads.

And here is a full project:

Makin's Clay April post: Seeing all blue

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Makin's Clay first post for the new 2016 term.
I am very happy to stay on this gorgeous company team and to move to the next step from Makin's Professional certification I already got.
But for this I need to develop my clay skills and this post is all about " do things without knowing the final result".
For this post we  were asked to mix Makin's Clay. Yes, to mix colors with Makin's  Clay Mixing Ruler and to make the project from the mixed colored clay.
So I mixed, and mixed and mixed and got like 10 shades of blue. (Not grey, just blues, like my mood lately). And then I made a lot of different things of all mixed clay and here is the way I worked this time.
But for today's post I am going to share just my kind of faux TURQUOISE color and made a really fancy necklace that maybe seams heavy, but as Makin's Clay is very light, it's just an illusion.
 Step by step tutorial:

1. Makin's Clay Mixing  Ruler  color chart has a lot of mixing possibilities; but unfortunately Turquoise  is not in the chart (and I didn't want to mess with mixing acrylic paint this time).
So I made my own mixing recipe and I checked and double checked it and IT WORKS!
Mix H part of Concord Blue  clay form Vineyard Tones set with G part of  white clay together with F part of Grape Leaf clay( Vineyard Tones colors) and E part of Green clay. This will give you the right  shade of turquoise, but if you want it lighter or darker- just add more white or use smaller  white portion. For my project I used much more then one portion (just mixed like 10 times more of each color to get colored clay for this project).

2.Make 2 large  round beads  and cover them with clear glitter. Make a few flat sided smaller beads using Makin's Clay Ultimate Clay  Extruder without any disc- the log that comes  out is just in a perfect size to make those beads in no time. Make a hole with the tool from Makin's Clay  Professional  Clay tools set pushing it from both sides of the flat beads. Cover flat beads with blue glitter. Now let the beads dry for 24 hours.

3. Use Makin's Clay roller and cut  a heart with a big heart cutter(just my old stash); I also added 4 small circles made with Makin's Clay small circle cutters. For the texture I rolled copper, light and dark blue micro beads over the wet heart shape. Just sprinkle the beads and roll over with Makin's Clay rolled tool. Then make holes and let the pieces dry overnight.

4. Arrange the necklace over the thin ball chain adding some copper beads.  Make elephant from black clay using a mold (this is my own home made mold). Paint the elephant with copper acrylic paint and a bit of turquoise acrylic hue and glue over the heart pendant. Cover all clay pieces with glaze and let it dry.
Enjoy you nice necklace !

And this is a finished necklace in all its glory!

ETI /Ann Butler Designs blog hop

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to ETI/Ann Butler's designs mutual blog hop.
You most probably came from Einat's blog here, and if not- begin with Ann Butler's blog here.
For this hop the Ann Butler's team members were asked to make a project with both ETI and Ann's products and this is my share for the hop.

I made the double sided acrylic pendant using Ann Butler's Unity Faux Quilting stamp, Ann's Crafter's Canyon ink, Ann's Sunshine, Aquamarine and Lime Light Crafter's inks re- inkers and Ann's Earth Safe Finish Iridescents Lagoon and Orchid paints. From the ETI side I used Easy Mold Silicone Putty, Easy Cast Clear Casting Epoxy and Amber transparent resin dye.
So here is one side of my finished necklace:

I used Tim Holtz acrylic fragment and stamped one 2'' Ann Butler's Unity Faux Quilting stamp with Canyon ink. Then I heat embossed the stamped image with clear embossing Clearsnap powder.
The elephant was made using a mold I made with putty with metal piece I wanted to cast. When my mold was dry I mixed Easy Cast resin with copper micro beads and Amber DIE pigment and after 24 hours I got this  beauty. I  painted the elephant with Ann Butler's ESF Orhid paint and  glued it over the stamped side with liquid resin.

And this is the back side ofr the same piece:

This side was covered with Ann Butler's Crafter's inks reinkers and then heat embossed with clear powder.
The face was molded and casted in the same way as the elephant. Then I painted it with Ann's ESF Lagoon paint and glued a bit out of the center.
I hope  tha you like my project and now you can visit the next designer on the list: Larissa

Makin's Clay March tutorial post

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Makin'sClay March tutorial.

March is the National Craft Month and to make a new jewelry  piece with Makin's Clay and tools, die, molds and  paints  sure counts as crafting. I decided to pick a few trends and to use them on this card piece.
The recent trends are Rose quartz color of the year (it's just light link one);doilies are still trendy; tassels are back as a trend; glitter and gold are the most trendy items on this list. And as I believe, butterflies and flowers are trendy forever.
So here is my new Spring necklace and I made a tutorial for you , so you can duplicate with piece or to make a very similar one.
Step 1: Roll a piece of Makin's peach clay over  Makin’s Professional® Cutting Mat with a roller from Makin’s Professional®Roller and Cutters set® .
Make a sheet of Makin's Clay peach color using Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Machine®  on setting 5. Let the sheet of clay be totally dry and then die cut it with My Favorite Things small Doily die. Not every delicate die works on clay sheet; this one works even with small intricate die cutting.

Step 2:
Cut the piece of dry clay sheet (the same color from the previous step) to make a hand made tassel. Ad you can see Tim Holtz scissors are just perfect to cut dry Makin's Clay sheet.

Step 3:
Pick two small molds  and use White Makin's Clay to cast a small flower and a small butterfly. I used Plaid molds and didn't take a photo of this step as it was obvious and easy to understand.
Let  your shapes to be totally dry and take them of the mold after a couple of hours. You don't need to wait for 24 hours to make the next step.

Step 4:
Paint the dry flower and butterfly with Colorarte Acrylic glaze paints and let it dry.
Makin's Clay is just a perfect pallet for those shiny paint  as you can see.

Step 5:
Pick a round metal golden base and glue the painted clay daisy flower inside the circle using any possible glaze medium that fit polymer clay. I used Gloss Glastique from Sweet Stamps, but any glaze medium for clay will work.Add some clear fine glitter over the glaze and around the flower.
Glue the painted butterfly with the same glaze over  the die cut clay doily, add some clear fine glitter around and let it dry.

Step 6:
Glue the clay doily over the back side of your metal golden base and now you have double sided clay pendant.

Add the golden cap over the fringed cut clay to make a tassel. Arrange the base and the tassel as shown and add a black ribbon.

Enjoy you very trendy necklace!

Lucky Makin's Clay necklace

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit us here again with my Makin's Clay Lucky necklace.
I think that anyone needs a bit of luck. And games, any kind of them, are the most common way to get some luck together with a lot of fun. So I made a fancy 3 colors only necklace with Makin's Clay using all possible techniques.
Supply list:
White
Black
Red

Tools:

Other products:
Stamps- Rubber Dance
Glaze- DecoArts
Acrylic paint- DecoArts
Jewelry parts and beads- craft shop

Let me show you all of them techniques  used today:
1. Use Ultimate  Clay Extruder with large square disk #28 (you can't  see the disk on this photos, sorry about it) with white and black Makin's Clay to make this " so called" chess game  board.
I used a piece of thin red clay that was rolled to #6 setting on  Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Machine® and dry to make the base for all those extruded squares.

2.Make a free hand  game cube from black clay and making the dots with Makin’s Clay® Professional Clay Tools®  top as shown.

3.Stamp with black permanent ink over wet clay rolled with Makin's Clay roller.I used Rubber Dance stamp to make this playing card Queen image.

4. Stamp with bare stamp  into the wet white clay. I used Rubber Dance stamps again and in my final project the Bingo card was not used after all. But I did used the domino piece as you can see. All piece were hand cut with a cutter from Makin’s Clay® Professional Clay Tools® set.

5. Use  Makin's Clay small cutters of playing cards signs  from Mini Geo  cutters set to make the small pieces for the necklace. I didn't find the diamond shape(mess is my second name) in my cutters box, so I made it totally free  hand.

7. Make a mold  using a real chess game piece and cast  the chess game piece with black clay.

8.Cover all dry pieces with  glaze. The Domino piece dots were painted with black acrylic paint.
The cube dots were all painted with white acrylic inside the dots.

And this is my finished pieces added to a fancy multi strings necklace.
I added the word Lucky over the chess board with stickers and then covered the stickers with glaze again.
So are you Lucky? I hope you are and if not- make this necklace for some extra luck!
