Spring blog hop with DV and IBS

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Inspired by Stamping and Die-Versions Blog Hop.  Twenty two talented designers have united to celebrate the new season and shake off the malaise of a snowy winter.  Yay!!!  Inspired by Stamping, which designs and manufactures the highest quality of photopolymer stamps that bring superior stamping to all crafters, has teamed up with Die-Versions, makers of low profile metal dies which works with virtually every machine out there and cuts through most materials, to create this special eye candy of Spring themed projects.

One lucky "hopper" will get a total prize package of $100 in gift certificates, a $50 gift certificate from Inspired by Stamping AND Die-Versions, so you can stock up on some awesome products both of these companies have to offer.

For your chance to win the grand prize, visit all of the participating blogs, leaving a comment at each, then leave a comment telling us what you like the most about Spring at the Inspired by Stamping blog.  All comments entered between now and April 28th at 10pm (Pacific time) will be eligible for the grand prize.
If you came from Emilia's blog- you are on the right path. And if not- you have a full blog list at the end of this post.

And now to my project. As I design for both DV and IBS, I had to made something more significant than a card , so I made this spring mood layout and also I know that it's not totally with flowers and pastel, it shows this spring mood of my dear beloved American niece Tamar.
I used quite a lot of DV dies - from the new April release and from the previous ones and a lot of IBS stamps too.

The background was made with colored to pink texture paste and masks all around the page. Then I stamped IBS background stamps randomly with black ink and then I added a lot of tags, stamping over them the general words such as Love, Memories etc. I added 2 stamped tickets and a lot of arrows around the page. Here is a list of stamps used for this lo:
Arrows
Background basics 3
 Background basic 4
Chalkboard Birthday
  Vintage tickets

The Sweet Frames  Pretty  is the new DV die and the  Sweet frames "Love " oldie" (not so old after all) was added under the photo for the interest. The black die cut background Ovals under the photo are from the new April release too. I used half of new April DV die " For you" and added the " you" word as a part of my title: Love from the frame and  You form the title.I also added a couple of IBS shop flowers, a couple of border DV dies  and then I decided to stop. No more. No more embellishments or add- ons as I really want those stamps and dies to shine! Lucky me to design for two such a great companies!

Your next stop on the hop is Lisa  .  If you ever get lost in the hop, you can always go back to the beginning, Die-Versions blog, for the complete order list.

Our purrrfect princess

OK, she is not my cat  (also we do have one), but my grandson's one. And for a few weeks she was HE (they thought that she is and gave her a masculine name too). So her name is EREZ and it's a boy name for sure and she is a fat home princess.
Page made with T.Collins, Cosmo Cricket, Glitz, Elle's Studio, A2Z  Scraplets (the brick wall too, their chipboard and gesso with embossing powders over it) and a lot of recycled wool yarn around this page.

My useful altered tray

This project will be published in Scrapbooking. com August 2012 issue
Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time with this most gorgeous  wooden box we got from McGuffey Woodworking
as a product swap. I am really Printers Tray addict. So to get another tray  to alter, and this time with Robin's Nest products, was a real pleasure.

As you can see, it was made to use. We have a little Robin's Nest chalkboard here and we can write with a chalk (when I get some!). Then there are those small Robin's Nest clips on a string to keep some small notes.
A small calendar was added on the left, May was first as all other month are gone, but is can be replaced  to the new calendar when we need it. And finally I made this small notebook (with a birdie on it) using Bind-It-All , again I need to find a small pen to fit the spot.
The bare wooden  tray  from McGuffey Woodworking was painted with a mix of teal and brown acrylics and I added a bit of crackled paint too for this vintage look.
Then I used Glitter Writing   and Classified  cardstock to cover all 6 inside boxes. I also inked the white Classified cardstock with a bit of Tea Die Distress ink to fit the colors. Then I added some Viva  and Family rub - ons all over the cardstocks.
I die cut a lot of Tim Holtz dies from Brown on Brown  Rope  glitter cardstock: the bird cage, the clock, gears and glued them inside.

I also decided to add some glittery pinks and Princess Border strips were just perfect. The same strip was used to make a folded big flower and 2 more were made with another dies from the background paper, layered, one with some lace inside and inked a bit.

I made a small notebook using the same Glitter Writing  cardstock backside and added a die cut bird - it comes from the same bird cage die and I just embellished it with a pink  Regency  mini dew drop eye.   The small Euro  clippie was added on the right to make the opening easy.

I also embellished the bird cage with  pink mini  dew drops from Regency set. The border hinge die cut on the lower left was embellished with Gold Dew Drops from Mocha Trail set .
I added the chalkboard on the left top corner, made a string from  Robin's Nest twine and clipped those Regency  clips. Then I filled 2 small glass bottles with Parisian and Regency  mini dew drops (kind of a waste, but so lovely). Last, but not a least, some Robin's Nest ribbons were added : the  Red velvet and B- wild  cotton ball white and the printed twine on the lower left spot.

Some charms and vintage buttons were added as my flower centers and one big bow over the notebook.

I really like the final result and hope you like it too.
See you next time with another  Robin's Nest project.
I enter this to Unique crafter Buttons challenge- the huge buttons in the middle.

Irit
