Smell of Spring with IBS

I adore nature photos and flowers are my most favorite ones. So when you have great photos of roses and the best possible rose stamps, making a nice layout is easy. So here is my Inspired by Stamping today's post.

This lo was made in a kind of light Mixed Media style, with some masking, misting, texture and a lot (like 18) stamped roses from 2 different sets ( Elegant flowers and Vintage roses set) to make the outer paper background. I stamped over IBS  new Vintage Roses paper pad  and then misted all of my stamped and hand cut roses with a gold mist.

As you can see IBS images are not for card only. You can  make magic with them over your scrapbooking pages too.

Fast and easy " Soak up the sun"

Let's see how long it takes to make this my style " Light Mixed Media " page. I made it in like 30 minutes and still it's full of mediums. So take the time!

To cut a circle in  the upper paper- a minute  with a circle cutter and you have even rest..
To mist with one mask and one mist 3 times - another 2  minutes as we need it to be dry a bit.
To mist the flowers with the same mist and one more- another minute.
To glue all misted chipboards over the single photo- 2 minutes
5 minutes to heat emboss the title and then another minute to add some Gelatos as I didn't like the colors.
A minute to adhere 4 tags on the top.
A minute to write the hand journalling inside the circle. Maybe 2.
2 minutes to add all pearls and flower centers as they are self advesive after all.
My final count is 16 minutes. Add 14 more for thinking. You can scrap a lovely Mixed Media page in half an hour. Just try.

One new Selfie page made for some web challenges. This year I decided to concentrate in ME. So my word for this year is Me/dare. Dare to scrap yourself. Dare to try things that are not your style, your comfort zone or even " your cup of tea". You (me) are the focus- and nothing  can stop you to reach  whatever you want to reach.Just dare to try and try to dare.

Indian Summer lo

Sometimes I just scrap... Period. No DT work, not for CHA, just to keep my own memories alive.
So this is a page I made with my India 2012 trip photos and I am really ashamed to say that this is a very first page from this trip. I sure have hundreds of photos to scrap, but I sure don't have too much time to do so.
Since this vacation we already visited Armenia, Vietnam and Cambodia, but with my  so called scrapping
" speed" I will scrap those in a year or two... LOL.
So enjoy those lovely faces of people we met and  it was a real INDIAN Summer, not the one we think when we see this title.

Destination: less travelled road with Die- Versions

Hello my dear crafty friends!  This is my very first project made for and with Die- Versions gorgeous dies.
As we are still waiting for the new release to come, we try to showcase our oldies, but goodies dies and my favorite are Travel ones.
This 2014 new year came  with my new WORD OF THE YEAR  and I picked the word TRY/DARE. Like don't be afraid of a failure; try harder;dare to try. You never can know what the future has for you unless you try. So once a month I will do a project with some connection to my word and this quote was the first one to use: Take the less travelled road (try to, you never know what is on this road's  end); this is your destination when you dare and it will take you to the place where your can touch the sky... Sort of.

So I made this altered printers small tray , covered with Chic Tags mix of tags on the background and then I cut a few of DV lovely dies: the globe on the corner, the circle title, a couple of suitcases and finally the whole title with small DV font. I decided to glue the letters with Glossy Accents and then added some glossy medium over the circled  title too.

The suitcases glitter bands were made with double siided glue tape for some interest and the globe was to big big for the tray, so it was trimmed on the corner.
I really like my first DV project/ first 2014 Word of the Year project.
Hope you like it too.
And it was also made for all possible NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS challenges as it's with my resolution word.
So here are the challenges
