Amazing you : SNS March release card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first  Sprinkle n' Sparkle March post.
Irit is here  today and I am going to share a lovely oriental card made with one of the new released stamps and quite a lot of SNS  embossing powders.
First let me say that our new release is just gorgeous and in my personal opinion this Paisley Elephant stamp is the " Must have" one. It's pretty large and detailed and easy to cut after stamping; it's the stamp that you can color with all possible markers, but you also can mist in a second like I did in my tutorial.

Product list:
EP By the lake EP400
Cardstock- AC, Papericious
Dies- Cherry Lynn and non branded
Texture paste
Indian embellishments
Mists- Tattered Angels

Starting  March  , SNS is doing something new.  Instead of a traditional blog hop, the designers will begin showcasing the new sets on the 5th of each month and one lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate to SNS will be chosen at the end of each month.

In order to be eligible to win, you must comment on both the SNS Blog and a Mystery Designer's blog (will be checked for compliance).  The more often you leave comments on the Designers' blogs and on the SNS Blog, the better your chances of winning the prize!

Some details are here and then the full tutorial:

 Step by step tutorial:

1. Cut your Papericious (or other) cardstock as shown to fit the top and the bottom of the card.

2.Stamp the Paisley Elephant  over white cardstock with pigmented black ink and heat emboss with Black detail embossing powder.

3.Hand cut the stamped image and mist it with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist. Let the image be totally dry.

4.Stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set and color it with the same mist using baby wipe. Arrange the sentiment as shown.

5.Make your  cardstock stencil with a die cut card panel  for one time use. Cover the card base with this stencil and embossing paste.

6.Sprinkle By  the Lake embossing powder over the wet embossing paste and heat emboss it. Don't try to make it perfect mas this is a Mixed Media background and it's never perfect.

Mist the heat embossed background with TA blue mist  and let it dry.

7.Glue the cardstock strips from the previous step as shown.

8.Glue the elephant image and sentiment and some Indian embellishments over the card.

Your card is done! Enjoy it!

Friendship tag with Scrapmatts

My new fancy Friendship tag made with DCVW stack and a lot of Scrapmatts chipboards.
All chipboards were painted with kind of a white-grey acrylic paint as I wanted to keep the details of those chipboards.
Small Smile word chipboard was added on the top of the tag and the big Friendship sentiment chipboard was added on the bottom.
The leaves and the Bird bath were covered with clear glitter paint.
I also embellished the leaves with copper pearls as the berries.

2017 mini album with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second Scrapberry's December post.
Irit is here today with some last minute crafting inspiration. for Christmas or New Year.
We are pretty close to the last day of 2016, so how about to make a mini album and them to add the best photos from the new 2017 year?

I used the old, but not used, waterfall album and decided to embellish it with this new, just released, most adorable Winter Wonderland collection.
My puck was to stay with rose and grey colors and  to add some blues inside only.
So here is the front cover of the album made with different Scrapberry's papers from this new collection. I made a few die cuts to add the interest to the cover and hand cut some birds and the clock as my main embellishments. One single metal flair was added  to the cover and everything was inked with Pink Stains ink that is perfect for edge inking.

Here is a close- up shot to the embellishment cluster:

And now to a couple of pages inside (I am not going to show you each and every page as they are quite similar.) I wanted  to leave the flat pages as other way it will not be possible to close the album and I kept the place for photo as for me scrapbooking or making albums is not all about embellishments, but all about keeping you favorite memories inside the album.
The first pages are a tribute to the New Year that is just around the corner:

Other pages are quite similar to this one- a lot of place for photos and flat.

I hope that you liked my small album and will try to make a similar one with one of Scrapberry's Winter collections.

Happy layout with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first ever post as Scrapberry's Design Team member.
My name is Irit ,I am an Israeli designer and Mixed Media artist and I am totally thrilled to be a part of such a talented design team.
I don't scrap too much lately, but do more Mixed Media  and Altered items.
But with Scrapberry's fantastic paper collections and embellishments and my dear 3 years old Grand daughter Netta I felt that I must scrap and so this layout was born.

This layout was done in circles and with circles.
First I made a few  circled cuts on the basic cardstock and then added another patterned cardstock on the back with 3d foam glue.
The hand doodled stitches were added with purple pen around each and every  circle and a bit around the corners.
Both photos were die cut with circle die and glued over the background ones.
The whole embellishment cluster was added from top of the page to the bottom  along a few cardstock strips and surrounded with more die cut stitched circles.
As my photos were in purple and light blue and In Bloom cardstock collection has those two colors I used blue and purple inks to highlight the edges of most of my paper pieces.

This close up shows the 3d dimension of the circles and the doodled stitches.
The white flower was colored with Ranger distress ink  (Dusty Concord) to fit the layout colors.

On this close up you can see the chipboard word Happy as my title, painted with distress ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then embellished with some embellishment dots in  one of photos colors.
The embellishment cluster was made from hand cut from patterned cardstock flowers, die cut from patterned paper butterflies, some  smaller resin flowers, one crystal sticker and one painted birds chipboard on the top.

I die cut some  journaling cards into the circle shape and added as the top  jourunalling point.

On the lower left corner I made a whole jourunaling spot with hand cut sayings from Cards 1 and Cards 2 patterned cardstock. Then some butterflies were stamped with the same blue and purple inks (with pink ink add- on) on the so called white space of the layout.

And here is another close- up the the whole layout: pretty much flat one and very colorful.

Scrapmats June post Layout

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this time I have quite a variety of projects made with Scrapmatts delicious chipboards and stencils.
As usual- the first one is a layout.
Those are my gorgeous and still only two grandkids like a year and something ago.
I made this light Mixed Media layout with Bo Bunny pretty old paper collection and I had to add something new. So Scrapmatts  products are new, aren't they? And they fit this layout a lot.

First the photo was outlined with String Circle 04 circle and another one was added  near. Two kids, connected with blood and love. Two circles- connected with glue and twine.
The background was made with Circled  stencil and just white acrylic. Again- I stayed in this " circled mood" and as the photo background is dotty, I added lots of dots around the page.

The title  was made in two parts: the first one " TWO" was added over the circle with twine and I used
Alphabet flags 04 set. The second one " Life Memories" was made with  Assorted words 01 set and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
Love and Laugh sayings were added on the top as a kind of journalling using Scrap words 21 set.

Altered hoop

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new blog post.

This time I made an altered hoop and the most interesting thing here is the background.
I will do a full tutorial of this one, but just to  say this is totally thin, one layer three layers self made paper lace and I promise to share the technique some day in the future.
I made it just because.
And then I thought that it can be a good project for some web challenges, so I added a few trinkets, some paints and some more embellishments and made it shabby and not so much my style. But them who cares? Who says that we should always stay in our primary style? Not me.

It was made for a few web challenges:
 Prima May PPP
 Southern Ridge Trading- Anything feminine
Mixed Media Monthly- Butterflies and Blooms

Lots of flowers- for Crafty enjoyments
Live and Love crafts- Blossoms and/or Butterflies
