Chalkboard card with CAS-ual Fridays

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit from Irit Shalom Designs is here again and this time I am going to share a simple, but yet interesting card made with one single large CAS- ual Fridays stamp sentiment from Dream then Do stamp set  in one of my most favorite styles- Chalkboard stamping.

As you can see I used a  stamp from Dream then Do set to make the card front over Mixed Media bottom layers and also it's not a full tutorial I would show you the layers and will explain a bit about this card making process.

CAS- ual Fridays stamp  used:

The bottom layer was made over thick white cardstock with splashes of alcohol Ranger inks.

The second acetate layer was made with the same alcohol inks and you can see it around the focal sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped over black thick cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Then I added a layer of white ink over the stamped image to make this mute " chalkboard" look.
The acetate layer were added with staples over the bottom cardstock one.

I hope that you like my vintage looking Mixed Media card and see you next moth with more CAS- ual Fridays inspiration.
And if your are going to buy some goodies- here is my discount code for you  to use!

Lovely thoughts of you card tutorial with SNS

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit from Irit Shalom Designs is here today  with my second July  Sparkle N' Sprinkle release project.

I made  this card using the most gorgeous Sketched Pear blossom stamp set and added totally glittered background using a stencil and three SNS glitter colors.

The main image was stamped over embossable SNS acetate, heat embossed with black detail embossing powder and colored from the back and from ther front with different coloring mediums.

Product list:
Sketched pear blossoms stamp #904
Tim Holtz 5'' mini scissor
Here are some close- ups to the project:

And now here is my full step by step tutorial for you to follow:
1.Die cut the square using sticker paper. Add the stencil over and sprinkle Waterfall glitter.

2. Peel off the stencil and add Spirited green on the top. Try to avoid the middle part that will be covered with third color.

 3. Add pink glitter on the middle of the square.

 4. Die cut cardstock rectangles to make your card.

 5. Arrange the rectangles and glittered square as shown using Tear- ific 1/2'' double sided SNS tape.

 6. Stamp the Pear blossoms over embossable acetate  - the large and two small ones- using VersaMark ink and heat emboss with Black detail SNS embossing powder.

7. Color the stamped acetate from the back side with a mix of Ranger alcohol inks.

8. Hand cut the stamped images. Don't try to make it perfect as this is a clear acetate around the stamped images.

 9. Glue the stamped pieces over the card as shown using Tonic glue pen.Remember to glue from the heat embossed side up.

 10. Color the image with acrylic paints. (Green one is not shown on the photo).

 11.  Stamp and die cut the sentiment. Glue it over the card.
Add some random Nuvo drops around the card.

Thanks for being here today with me and see you in a couple of weeks with my last July release project!

One stamp- three projects with SNS

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Sparkle N' Sprinkle blog post.
Today I am going to share " same stamp- three project" crafty post.
I used same large single SNS stamp called Danielle and made three totally different projects with this beauty.
The first is this Mixed Media card and I made a full tutorial for you to follow in my own blog.

Product list:

Happy Birthday metal stencil Stampendous
Stencil Rebecca Baer
Water colors

The card was made with artistic stencil, Nuvo glitter paste and then misted with Nuvo Mica mist for the background.
The lady's image was stamped over cardstock, heat embossed with black embossing powder and then covered with Masking fluid. When fluid was dry the more stamped image were added around using Pretty Blooms stamp set.
Then the main image was colored, misted and added to the card.
The sentiment was done with the same Glimmer paste over stencil.
And as I said- here is the full tutorial for you to follow. And now a few close-m ups to this card:

And now for my second card today:

 Product list:

Stencil - Rebecca Baer
Alcohol inks- Ranger

The second Mixed Media card was made with the same stamp, but as it was stamped over the transparency I flipped it to another side. The image was then colored on the back with alcohol inks. The background was made with sticker paper, stencil and two SNS gorgeous glitters. First add the dark glitter over the stencil and then peel the stencil off and add  white color over the sticker bare spaces.
The sentiment was die cut several times and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
And a couple close- ups to this card:

The last project is a stamped Steampunk tag that was made with the same image stamped over transparency. But this time I made the " just add ink" coloring on the back as this is a totally free project and Steampunk is not intended for pretty coloring.
The chipboard pieces were all heat embossed with four different embossing powders in metallic colors.

Product list:
Embossing powder Timber SNS
Embossing powder Copper SNS
Embossing powder Gold Detail SNS
Embossing powder Black Detail SNS
Embossdable acetate
Alcohol inks- Ranger
Chipboards- Dusty Attic
Cardstock- BoBunny
Titles- Tim Holtz
And a few close- ups to this tag:

And now for the full tutorial for the first card.
 1. Stamp and heat emboss the image with Timber SNS EP.

2. Cover the stamped image with Tonic Masking fluid and let it totally dry.

 3. In the meantime add Tonic glitter paste over the metal stencil to make the sentiment.

4. Stamp the flowers around the woman's image while covered with dry masking fluid.

 5. Peel off the dry fluid and cut as shown around the images.

6. Color the images with water color markers.

 7. Mist the colored images over with Tonic Mica mist.

8. Make the glitter paste background with Tonic glitter paste and then mist with Tonic Mica mist.

9. Arrange the stamped image over the card as shown and add the black background cardstock.Hand cut and color the sentiment and glue it over the card.

Thanks for being here with me today and I hope that you like my " same, but different" projects.

Art is the voice of a heart art page with Magenta

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today  I am going to share my new art journal double spread made over the single A4 Mixed Media cardstock using Magenta stencils and stamps.

This page is all about  your own understanding of art. As Art is the voice of your heart, there is no rules or right and wrong in doing your own art.
So even if it looks a bit weird it's still your own interpretation of your heart in colors, designs and general concept .

I made the background with acrylic paints and then added a few black cardstock pieces in a totally random way.
Two Magenta stencils were used to add the contrast (numbers in black) and texture (stars in blue) and two Magenta stamps were used to add some stamping on the background.

The metal piece was stamped over metal sheet and then colored with a  mix of alcohol inks. Then it was die cuts and glued on the right side of the double page spread. The stamping was made with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped over the page with permanent black ink.

The main image on the left side was stamped in the same heat embossed way and then colored with distress markers and covered with gel medium.

Some black pen doodling was added around the page for more " hand made" interest.
