Dream with Meg's Garden

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again  and this time, after a few months of altered art made with Meg's Garden gorgeous products, I am back to scrapbooking.

The new French  Garden collection is the most perfect one to make dreamy, shabby and colorful layouts and this is the first one of this kind.
I used the patterned paper as my background one without any cardstock and added a few bog  and cut pieces from another paper from this collection.  Lucky me had those delicious  peonies photos  that are the perfect fit for the paper. I added background texture paste masking with  light and dark green pastes and surrounded my photos with Die- Versions die cuts of background, fence and bird cages, all made of the same patterned paper.

My photos were actually embedded into the background as I added  some pieces under, over and in between photos.

Transparency butterflies from More Butterflies set were hand cut and glued randomly over the page.
I added some vintage metal findings from Meg's Garden shop over the piece paper and embellished them with pearls. Some trims  and ribbons were added too. As the last touch I added 3 big flowers, some doily trims and a big chipboard heat embossed title.

All the page was misted with a mix of light yellow and pink mists.

Brand new day with PHP and Xyron

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Xyron and PHP blog hop!

I decided to make this layout  with a lot of die cuts as they work perfect with all Xyron glues and adhesives.

First I made this sun rays with Xyron glue runner : the dotted glue was heat embossed with yellow powder and the result is just gorgeous. Then I added more strips using the bigger dots with Mega Runner.

Then I  glued all hand cut paper pieces- flowers etc with Xyron Glue stick and it's a really permanent fantastic stick to work with. This stick glue is Acid Free and Non- Toxic and has a best possible value as a simple dry comfortable to work with glue stick.

Adhering all those fine die cuts was a kind of a trick: fine cuts are very difficult to glue and I used the same glue stick over the bigger pieces. Then I used both 2'' and 3 1/2'' sticker makers to adhere  those fine cuts, such as bird cages and the birds.

I used  Adhesive dots   to adhere the chipboard title as those are clear and strong and perfect for the  chipboards. Those dots were also used to secure the chipboard stickers as those are not too much  self adhesive after all. Some dots were heat embossed with red powder to  imitate the small berries over the trees.
I also added some glue dots to PHP gorgeous stickers as as  lovely as they are, sometimes the glue is not working a full 100%. So we can secure them with a bit of Xyron adhesive and to be sure it's forever.

PHP and Xyron blog hop

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to day 3 of our Paper House Productions and Xyron mutual blog hop.
Get ready to travel around the world with our design team and Xyron!

Starting on Monday May 19th, each day, for five days, we will feature two travel themed projects on our blog (http://www.paperhouseproductions.com/community/) from our talented design team and we'll give away some great products! AND, when you HOP over to Xyron's blog (http://aintshecrafty.blogspot.com/), they will feature travel themed projects using your favorite Paper House Travel Collections and give away great products too!

All you have to do is stop by the blogs, leave a comment and you could win!

And here are my projects made for this hop.
First is this recycled altered box, made as this kind of " survive the flight  box". This is the box you make for those who can't afford the First class flight (everyone I know). You put there  the eye covers, ear pugs, some Aspirin pills, gum, tooth brush and small paste and a note... I really think we can do it for our loved who  travel  a lot (like me, but I never got this kind of a present). So I used this Map paper to cover this chipboard box from all sides, using Xyron Permanent Adhesive Glue stick. This is  the only glue stick I  loved to work with: really permanent and then this agronomic triangle shape is so nice and  comfortable to use.

The Bon Voyage die cut is a very tricky one to glue over the cover. But wait! This Xyron 3'' Sticker Maker was a blast! I made the die cut and then added the adhesive using this tool and it was amazing! 2 seconds and a permanent glue was added only over the cut piece.
The stamped Bon Voyage sentiment  from  Inspired by Stamping company
Big Sayings in French #2 over the box was glued using another Xyron Sticker Maker, this time I used this X shaped sticker maker for the thinner surface and it was a perfect experience.

And now for my other creations for the hop.
The first is a travel tag, made with the very same  PHP paper, 3d Travel stickers and some washi and wood veneer shapes. I glued everything with Xyron permanent tape runner and used STICK  for the rolled " maps" and all embellishments.

And this last one is another travel tag, made with PHP Duck hunting collection, both papers and cardstock stickers. The stamped  flags were stamped with  Inspired by Stamping  Background  Basic #2 set of stamps  and PHP CANVAS sticker sentiment. Again, I used Xyron tape runner for the paper and stick glue for the embellishments.
