Happy, happy, happy everything card

I am still in this " me time" and making clean and simple, or not so clean and simple cards for web challenges.
So this one is for Art Impressions Home or House challenge primary, but then I added much more challenges that fit this card colors, techniques and mood.

I made background with stencils (Tando, Sweet Stamps), texture paste and watercolors (FB DMC Gelatos). Then I stamped Art Impressions  Bird house (it is home of birds and house too, so it fits the challenge) with black embossing powder . All around I stamped with small stamps from the same set  over watercolor wet cardstock. The chipboard bird was heat embossed with black powder and the sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping. Some sequins were my finished touches for this card.

I enter it to the following challenges:
 Art Impressions- Home and House
Bit o' green- Simon Says
Happy Little Stamper- Mixed Media challenge- use Water (colors)
STAMPlorations- Stamps and texture- I sure have both
CAS Mixed up challenge- stamping, watercolors and texture paste with stencil, heat embossing
Inspired byall the little things challenge- Spring, colors etc

scrapbooking page.

Happiness with my grandkids and Meg's Garden

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Irit here and today I am going to share my March layout made with Meg's Garden new delicious Butterfly Garden collection and my dear grandchidren's studio photos.
This layout is a perfect example for baby scrapbooking with totally non baby products. All you need for this kind of scrapbooking are good photos with great backgrounds and outfits and lovely delicious vintage paper collection (such as this Meg's Garden one).

The background paper was punched around with a mix of border punches and then I added stencil work with a couple of stencils and a light yellow painted texture paste. I also inked the edges with this teal ink and then adhered the stencilled paper over the basic one.
A few cut out paper were added on the back of the photo as my matting; each was in a different size and inked with a couple of inks around the edges.  I misted over the  page again and then glued my photo over the paper rectangles.
Meg's Garden paper doily was added on the back of this paper cluster for the interest. I made a flower cluster with Mag's flowers, ribbon, metal trinkets and paper lace piece on the lower photo corner and added a chipboard title that was lightly misted  too.

A few paper cut butterflies were added randomly over the page.
The overall feeling of this page is light vintage Mixed Media and it fits my photo and my scrappy mood during the scrapping process.

Create with my own imagination

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first post made for ETI company.
First of all I want to say thanks. Thanks for Ann Butler who arranged us to get those gorgeous ETI products to play with. Thanks for ETI for the most generous box of goodies I ever got. Thanks for my little sister who is an American  and helped me to get those fantastic ETI goodies during my USA visit. And thanks for my my jet lag that helped me to finish this project pretty soon after I came home.
So now let's see the project.
I know that usually resin art means jewelry or  something connected to the wearable art. Not this time. My project is totally Mixed Media altered canvas and it shows you the way to use products that generally are connected to one kind of projects, used on another kind of projects and it mostly showcase the versatility of ETI products.
First I began with preparing ETI pieces as no one can shorten those products drying time.
1.  Molding and casting exciting shapes
Make molds for some wooden cogs with Easy Mold Silicone Putty. This is the fast, no- toxic kind of molds and you don't need to use gloves (as most of them don't fit the mold components, containing Sulfur and will delay the chemical process). You do need two equal parts of both colors of the mold. Don't have any measure device? Here is my tip: use chip plastic tube; mark the line so even if you don't have an equal level of both products you will fill the tube with the equal amount of component.
Look how easy it is! I made two loads of each component as I made some bigger molds with this mixture.

And from the top- just  to show how it works. Keep two tubes and mark them for white and purple component. Dont' use the same tube for both!

Try to keep your room cool, like 21C/70F to get the best working time. Work fast! Mix  both components and  press your object into the putty. Leave it there for half an hour.If you use plaster or acrylic you can use it right away. If you are going to use resins, wait for 24 hours.
For this particular project I made molds for wooden lower left corner cogs. (Sorry, I didn't take photos of this stage as this is very easy step and I didn't want this post to be  too long).
2. Casting EnviroTex Jewelry Clay into shop made mold is an easy part. Be sure  to mix the equal amount of both clay component USING GLOVES . If you  want you clay to be colored add some pigments or paints.  My photos here are showing the general casting of Jewelry clay and just one single piece from here will be added to my finished project (the round amber piece on the lower left corner; all other pieces were made for another project). To get this amber color I added a few drops of Amber Transparent Resin Dye into a mixed clay, but you sure can use the row clay and to paint it later with different paints and mediums.
The metal piece on the bottom of my photo is a polymer clay knife  we use to cut the leftovers from the top of casted  clay. You sure can use any craft knife, but those special ones are not expensive and made for this very matter.

3. Using High Gloss Finish  for embedding a chipboard shape
This is the most tricky part of this post: how to  make a simple chipboard shape durable and even wearable (we didn't need it for this project, but I was on a roll...)
First cover the bare chipboard with pigment ink (I used Clearsnap Bark) ; then cover it with Clear Embossing powder (Clearsnap used here) and heat emboss . Make it from the both sides if you are going to use it as a part of something  wearable. For this project single side was sufficient.

Now  for the part I am not sure about: I sealed the heat embossed piece with Ultra Sealer and I made it twice. I was not sure how much heat embossed surface is really sealed, so I made this step after all.

The next - adding resin step- was not photographed as I was very busy to keep  this filled with liquid resin piece on its place. So just the explanation:
Use High Gloss Finish and work according to instructions. Add a few drops of the same Amber pigment to the mixed material. Arrange the embossed chipboard over the  piece of non permanent adhesive material and try to keep it on its place during the pouring process. As this piece is very low I had a lot of left overs around. Leave them for a few hours and then trim the adhesive piece around the chipboard and cut the leftovers. Make it like 12 hours  after the pouring. Dont' take the piece of the adhesive  for 12 more hours and then just peel it off and your piece is embedded into the light amber "glass".

4. Make your altered canvas with masks, gesso, embossing powders, mists and whatever you  want. Add your casted  and glossed pieces as shown. Cover the chipboard title and numbers with a thin layer of High Gloss Finish (make a small position of it just to make the glossy finish to all possible metal pieces and chipboards)For the Mixed Media project don't worry about " bleeding  colors" ; don't  use sealer over the chipboard title and numbers as we love this non perfect result.

5. And now for the fun part: use the used ETI brush as a part of you project. Those are the brushed that come with measurement glasses and they are disposable.  After you use it  once its just a trash. So let's use it as a part of our project! This is all about Create- use the brush underline the title. (I changed the metal handle color with a drop of alcohol ink). Add some  paint splashes and enjoy you creation!

And this is my final project:

I really hope you got some ETI inspiration from my canvas and see you again soon with another ETI project.

Dream with Meg's Garden

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again  and this time, after a few months of altered art made with Meg's Garden gorgeous products, I am back to scrapbooking.

The new French  Garden collection is the most perfect one to make dreamy, shabby and colorful layouts and this is the first one of this kind.
I used the patterned paper as my background one without any cardstock and added a few bog  and cut pieces from another paper from this collection.  Lucky me had those delicious  peonies photos  that are the perfect fit for the paper. I added background texture paste masking with  light and dark green pastes and surrounded my photos with Die- Versions die cuts of background, fence and bird cages, all made of the same patterned paper.

My photos were actually embedded into the background as I added  some pieces under, over and in between photos.

Transparency butterflies from More Butterflies set were hand cut and glued randomly over the page.
I added some vintage metal findings from Meg's Garden shop over the piece paper and embellished them with pearls. Some trims  and ribbons were added too. As the last touch I added 3 big flowers, some doily trims and a big chipboard heat embossed title.

All the page was misted with a mix of light yellow and pink mists.

 Meg's Garden products  used:
 French  Garden collection
More Butterflies transparency
Vintage metal trinkets
Paper flowers
Doily lace
Fibres
Ribbons
 Other products:
Die Versions dies
 Sweet Stamps chipboard title
LSG mists

Sweet Stamps Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Anything goes week.
This is my new card made with a new, Sweet stamps  stencil and a new Piccolo chipboard frame.
I made the background with Gelatos pulled over the stencil without any water added over and then misted an upper part with a yellow mist to get this background.
Then I stamped over the background with black permanent ink. The chipboard frame was inked with a mix of Gelotos and heat embossed with clear powder. The last, but not least, was this stamped sentiment that was so perfect for this card.
