32 years: True story lo

This page was published in Create magazine March issue.
Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Irit here today and this is my True story layout story.
Usually it's pretty hard to make masculine layouts. You can't add too many embellishments; you can't add to many rhinestones, glitter, bling or anything sparkle. The colors are pretty much mute and monochromatic and finally our men don't like to be on that side of a camera.
So when I have good photos of my husband for already 32 years, I scrap it . But if this photo fits the most gorgeous Paper House Productions  Old World  paper pad patterns, I am  more than happy with it.
This photo I took on our Cyprus short cruise vacation just screamed " scrap me" with those old window paper. To make it more interesting  used distress ink with a stencil over the paper to imitate the old stone wall (kind of it at least) and then the only products that are not PHP are my mixed title made with a part of die cut tag and a few letter stickers.
It's so fun and easy to make great pages with our PHP loads of stickers of every possible kind!

Products used:
Paper House Productions:
Old World paper pad
Birds 3d stickers
 Garden Canvas art  stickers
 Picture Perfect Cork'd stickers
 Family Chalkboard stickers
Other products:
Tag- Pink Paislee
Letters- American Crafts
Stencil- Memory box
Inks- Ranger

Step by step instructions:
1. Cut the window paper  into two piece. The left strip should be cut as a brick wall pattern. The inside should be cut  into 8*8'' piece. Make the stone pattern with a stencil and brown distress ink and then glue the 8*8'' paper over the basic green one.
2.Glue the photo under the window and add cut out tag and letters title as shown.
3. Add all possible stickers around the page as shown. Hand write your journalling over the chalkboard sticker and glue it near the photo.

Visible Image Friday: White embossed easy cards

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today is Friday and it's my new Visible Image weekly post.
For this post I decided to make 2 easy cards, both with stamped and white heat embossed images and to show  you how easy it can be done with Visible Image gorgeous stamps.
My first card was made with Ten Little Fingers stamps and both  Baby  Feet and Baby Hands stamps , all from Baby Stamp set. I  used a very old SU papers, stamped over the orange patterned paper (with white embossing you can stamp over any colored paper and it's still white and shiny).
I made some border punching, added some heart buttons, some Pink Paislee bracket stickers and an office staple over the top. The colors are not a very usual baby ones and I think that it can be used both for girls and boys.

My second card is  very general Thank you card made with a sentiment from  More than Words SET 7.
I made a multiple random stamping with Small Winter Tree stamp, heat embossed it with white powder, added Petallo flowers (you can make your own too, I was lazy), some red stickles and a chipboard corner. All papers are Glitz and a resin hat is from Halo Handmade shop.

See you next week with more Visible Image inspiration.

The way of life with 100 Proof Press stamps

This card I made with 100 Proof Press stamps is my own development for this collage/inking technique. The original technique is to use glossy paper with Staz- On inks. I moved to regular cardstock with heat embossed  pigmented ink amd same inks fo coloring. It's just 3 basic colors- red, blue and yellow and then they give us  all other colors possible.

The stamped collage was made with masking and 4 stamps: Camera 35 mm, Old script, Open  Notebook and Alarm clock and the sentiment is this Way of Life stamp, all from 100 Proof Press.

Hope you like this technique as I am going to make a whole tutorials with it later this month.

Happy Birthday card

Fancy Birthday card  made with lots of Elle's studio goodies in KIM pocket. Pink Paislee paper was misted to give it this light vintage look. Handmade Halo cake charm was added on the corner.

Spring is not here, but a new card is

Very simple, but yet fancy card made with Pink Paislee papers , also recycled 6*6'' pad package on it as a main paper strip. Cheery Lynn Designs butterfly die  was finally found and worked again.(It was lost for maybe a year in my messy room)
As a final touch: Handmade Halo shop title, colored doily and resin hat were just so perfect for this card. I decided to add Kraft base and to leave the title in Kraft.

Just me

This project was published in SNR May 2012 issue
This time a very delicate lo made with MME products,  old Best Creation chipboards I got when I was on there DT as my publication credits and they are perfect, some Maya Road zipper trim and a few Pink Paislee octagons. I don't really " feel" this octagon mania, but I used some as my template and just left 3 as is. But then, we need some new products to use, don't we? So I used this new May release from Inspired by Stamping Inspired Sentiments set, 4 of all stamps, on this page and their lovely flowers, sold in the SHOP, too.

And some close- ups over the stamped sentiments

Mixed Media madness

My new Mixed Media canvas- my tribute to paints and textures.
Textures as I want to try this Creative Expressions UK stamp company DT call  and as you can see this piece is a whole mix of different textures made with mediums , paints and embossing powders and also the whole piece is totally flat we can see the depth of the scene made using those mediums only.
And the paints are .... Faber Castell Design memory craft Gelatos and Big Brushes. Also as I have just a few of them, all my projects with them are pretty much similar. I need more colors to make different projects, so I try this Limor Webber's contest and I just hope so much to be the lucky girl.

I made the background with Tando Creative Circles mask and molding paste. Then I stamped the Window , cut it and adhered it over the canvas. The fence was die cut and  then stamped with Wood grain stamp.
I added flowers and flower pots and now  for the fun!
Paints! Paints! Paints. I am not really sure what I used here. I think there were Gelatos first. Then I decided that I need shimmery look and I grabbed some Lumiere acrylics. Then I added some Pearl Ex   powders and sprayed them with water. Then I added more and more acrylics and then stamped my birdies.

The A2Z Scraplets chipboard was colored with Big Brushes and some glitter over it and glued on the fence side and I made my Home title from some very old Pink Paislee letters, but changed their color to for my final project.

Inspired by Stamping Featured artist day: my day

Inspired By Stamping has this Featured Artist post where Joanna is featuring all DT members. So here is my project for this post: altered acrylic bird (Maya Road piece, still 3 more left for  a future mini album, unless I am going to use this piece there too... Maybe.)

I made it with Pink Paislee papers, using the packaging too, as there were  same patterns and it's so frugal too.
The outside on the bird was stamped with Sweet Aviary set several times all around (Staz- on only).
Then I stamped a few clouds  and a hot balloon from Sky is a limit set and glued them with 3d foam glue. The sentiment cluster was stamped with Cherish set sentiments and I also added some gorgeous IBS flowers Joanna  sells in her online shop.

Sky is a limit sentiment was my last second add- on and  I just had to add some ribbons for a shabby and fancy look.
You can see this project and a small blurb about me in IBS blog today.

Sweetness mini album (and you can add pink for baby boys too)

This film strip (Maya Road) mini album was made with the Rak goodies I got from Scrap it Girl challenge win. Also I had some papers from this Pink Paislee line and some fabric strips, I used all other goodies and I actually love the result. And yes, I scrapped my grandson Omer's  adorable photos with some pink and flowers and I think we can do it with babies, even if they are boys.

Here is the front of it

I binded it with Bind-It-All wires and the film cover just fitted the wholes done. I added a transparency  before each chipboard piece ( 6 of them) and added a few rub- ons over the transparencies too. The photos are on the back side as it opens from the top.
The cover was painted with a few layers of black paint from Creative Inspirations  and PP plaque was glued over it.
And now the inside pages- lots of them
The first transparency with partial title seen from the chipboard cover
