Pin cushions made easy with Faux quilting stamps by Ann Butler

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post with something new for me too:
 pins cushions.
The base of this cute project were those Maya Road canvas die cuts and they come double sided and stitched from all sides.
I got them in some grab box and for a few years never used any. And then I thought that if I cut the bottom and add some inside butting, it can be a very lovely and useful piece.

So first I cut the bottom and  added a small package of SoftSoft HighLoft Thermally Bonded Polyester Batting from Warm Company  and glued it with  Beacon Fabri- Tac permanent adhesive. Then I  colored the whole canvas shape, both sides, with Ann Butler's Craft Inks from Clearsnap, using Aquamarine, Berry and Limelight inks.
Then I decided to add some embellishments and the only canvas shapes I had were those LYB canvas stickers that come bare.

So I stamped over them with Ann Butler's Unity  Faux quilting stamps, using 2'' Leaves all over

1'' Diamond and Plaids

and 1'' Doily Picnic stamps with the same inks and with Sunshine ink over one shape.

That was all! Easy, cute, fast made pin cushions were made and I really love the result. Hope you like it too!

Making Mixed Media with Ann Butler's Faux quilting stamps and inks

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Irit  is here and this is my monthly project made with Ann Butler's gorgeous products.
This is a chipboard board that became a kind of an art Mixed Media project and I actually tried to show how we can use Ann Buter's inks and stamps over the different surfaces.
So  it's not a real tutorial (almost impossible to make a Mixed Media project full tutorial , but with video); so I just show you the final result and give some tips.
The white artistic chipboard was covered with tissue paper first. Some tissue was with a pattern and some was just white one. I stamped all over the white tissue with permanent black ink and you can see all Ann's stamps patterns over the board, mostly around the central space.  Then I added some stencil's writing about art with texture paste and then all the stamped and masked surface was  inked with a mix of Ann Butler's Crafters Clearsnap inks.
I added two masked circles with  texture paste and white embossing powder and then inked over the  embossed mask with some of Ann's inks again.
So far we used Ann's inks over glued tissue, over texture paste and over embossing powder and we can see how great it works over all of those surfaces.

Now for the next surfaces. I inked the wooden panel and as you can see the words are still visible.
The chipboard bird cage was inked over the bare chipboard ans I like this " like vintage" result. The chipboard Honeycomb was inked with another Ann's ink and so were the feather's edges. Two burlap flowers were inked too and look at this perfect colored result!

Then I stamped  over diamond chipboard pieces  and inked over stamped images: great look again.

The only non Ann's ink here are those stains over the old brush I added to this art piece.

Scrapbook Saturday: Happy Lovely Delight

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit  is here today and this time with a new , cute and very much stamped layout made for PWP company DT.

This is  my dear happy, lovely and delightful grandson Omer and his typical  posing to the camera.
I made a background full of stamped texture using PWP Punchinella set, Textures set and Flourish fun 2 set using red and blue inks over this light blue basic paper (LYB)

Then I added some funny words with Whimsical patterns alphabet and you can see those SHY, ADORE AND CUTE words over  the page. The title is a kind of Mixed Title, made with a word Happy from Happy Day set, some fabric letters and a clear die cut word. I really love to make mixed titles; they are fun and  eye attractive.

Here are some more close ups to this funny page.

Here you can see those lovely stamped spots made with Texture set. So easy and non messy (before I owned this stamp I just used a toothbrush and this  was totally messy experience)

I hope you  like this page and see you soon again!

Sweet stamps #126 challenge: Anything goes with Artsy Fartsy new stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today is our Anything goes week on Sweet Stamps challenge blog and it means you can link any possible project and to win some great goodies.
Our DT got a few new ATC sized stamps (actually there are 18 of them for this release, but we got a couple for now and sure more to come). I  picked 2 stamps with a word Paris, so it was just natural to make some travel project . So say welcome to my stamped key chain that can me great for any keys  or travel bags.

I used an old and forgotten plastic frame  and then added 2 stamped ATC size pieces, one of each  clear frame side. The  first one is this Bird in a fly and I used 3-4 Ranger Distress Paints (just drop a bit over the stamped and heat embossed image and then wipe it with a wet baby wipe) over this stamped and heat embossed with black embossing powder image. The second piece with this vintage Paris lady was stamped the same way and then  colored with some yellow,  orange and red Distress paints the very same way as the first piece. Then I added some LYB wooden pieces, painted with the  same paints , connected them to the chains and a ring and this totally useful project was done.

Want ti see those gorgeous Sweet Stamps  18 ATC STAMPS? Go to our shop and just buy some!
And you can see all our new projects on this special ArtsyFartsy Pinterest board too.
And don't forget to participate in our weekly challenge!
I enter this to Frog Dog Studio  challenge- use Distress Paints

IBS July release DAY 3: Tabs (and Banners)

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today is Day 2  of Inspired by Stamping July stamp release and today we are going to show you a lot of  new tabs and banners stamps.
I designed a nature inspired friendship, love and celebration general card that can be perfect for any age (from 15 and up) and  any gender.

I used a real natural wooden pieces and flowers together with natural looked wooden and fabric embellishments and then added 3 tabs over the card edges. Each tab  has a sentiment from our Day 2 Arrows set and those sentiment are just perfect (size and  wording) for this card.
As a last touch I added a stamped word Love from the same Arrows set and made a circle bubble with punch. As I already had a bit of red on this card, I decided to stick to red and made this Love word in red; I also added some red pearls ( all over stamped letters " i" and on the corner.

All papers in this mini are from one single MME 6*6'' pad in 3 colors  only; all dies are from Die Versions. The tags are from Pretty Little Studio, wooden embellishments are LYB .
Here is my cover:
And some close ups to the title made with Tando Creative chipboard together with Tando gate.

And now for the inner pages

Making my life more colorful: Last Faber Castell GDT post

This is my last post as Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts  guest designer. I can't believe that 4 month are gone... So I decided to make a project full of colors and useful too. Welcome my altered make- up bag made with canvas flowers and a lot of Faber Castell  products.
This is an old NEW make up bag my DD left behind when she moved to her own apartment. But is was so black and so unseen , so I decided to mist a lot of Naturals LYB goodies and to make it bright and shiny. I really love those colors of canvas flowers over the black surface. I also added a wooden misted charm and it was done and useful.

It was a great pleasure to guest design for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft and I hope to be back with them some day.
Thanks Naoko for a great chance to design for your company!
