Chalkboard tags with TPD

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to show you my two small and lovely chalkboard tags.
This is my first time to make chalkboard something over a pre made paper and I need to say that I love my inked/painted surfaces more.
You can see that even with white embossing the stamped saying are very light and not as white as I want them to be. But then, it's a bit different and still very lovely.
I stamped 2 different sayings with Two Paper Divas lovely Life's Little Sayings  stamp set using clear embossing ink and white pearled powder over Fancy Pants chalkboard tags and then just embellished those tags with Maya Road houses, Paper studio beads, Prima flowers and BoBunny wooden shapes.
I really love the final result: easy to make and so cute!

You can make the same tags in no time ! Just go to TPD shop and get this great stamp set!

Spring bottle cup magnet with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly post made for Two Paper Divas stamp company.
This time I decided to make the OOP project and made this huge bottle cap magnet/ornament/ whatever.

I covered it inside with pink lace and pink ribbon; added a huge pink tulle bow; covered the inside with Japanese paper ( almost non seen....sorry) and made the stamped on the vellum inside circle.
I used  one of those cute stamps from TPD Seed Packet Flowers set, stamped with white ink over  milky vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Then I colored each flower with distress markers and glued it inside over the Japanese paper. I added Zva Creative pearl strips inside and my shabby magnet was done.

Pin cushions made easy with Faux quilting stamps by Ann Butler

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post with something new for me too:
 pins cushions.
The base of this cute project were those Maya Road canvas die cuts and they come double sided and stitched from all sides.
I got them in some grab box and for a few years never used any. And then I thought that if I cut the bottom and add some inside butting, it can be a very lovely and useful piece.

So first I cut the bottom and  added a small package of SoftSoft HighLoft Thermally Bonded Polyester Batting from Warm Company  and glued it with  Beacon Fabri- Tac permanent adhesive. Then I  colored the whole canvas shape, both sides, with Ann Butler's Craft Inks from Clearsnap, using Aquamarine, Berry and Limelight inks.
Then I decided to add some embellishments and the only canvas shapes I had were those LYB canvas stickers that come bare.

So I stamped over them with Ann Butler's Unity  Faux quilting stamps, using 2'' Leaves all over

1'' Diamond and Plaids

and 1'' Doily Picnic stamps with the same inks and with Sunshine ink over one shape.

That was all! Easy, cute, fast made pin cushions were made and I really love the result. Hope you like it too!

Happy Father's day with Die- Versions new May release

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Today I am going to share a card I made with a few of new, just released,
Die - Versions dies  for Father's day.

As we all know, making  masculine cards is a very challenging work. We all struggle with those masculine themes and colors. But if you own a few of DV new released dies, made to make your crafty life easier, you can make a lovely card with minimum supplies and a minimum  work.
This Happy Father's day card was made with a piece of Tim Holtz Kraft cardstock over the teal cardstock base, with half (keep the other half for another projects) of Funky Octagons Background die cut from the same teal cardstock.

The die cut sentiment - Happy Father's Day- was die cut frm the samer cardstck, but then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and got this rich teal glossy look. I added Sweet Spots Angel Wingdie cut from the basic black cardstock over the zipper trim and thin twine.  The last die cut was this new Sweet Wordlets " I love you"  sentiment, but I skipped the word " I" and left two others.

I think this is a good masculine card in basic colors and  with a strong masculine effects ( zipper trim, wooden buttons, jute string ).
Hope you like this card and love our DV new May release.

Visible Image Friday: For your special day

Hello my dear stamping friends! Today is Friday and this is my new card made for my
Visible Image Friday post.
This time it's a shabby and not so usual Congrats card, that can be for Birthdays, but in the same way can be used for any other special day.
I made the background with Crackled Background stamp in brown over the patterned paper (Kaisercarfts  for the base). Then I added 4 punched borders and a tag (My Little Shoebox). The tag was embellished with art supplies (twine on spools, brads, buttons) and I added this Visible Image
" For you on your special day" sentiment. And as I wanted to add some more greetings I used this Life is Grand sentiment from Chandelier  set on the bottom.

Here is a close up  of the sentiment

Really Reasonable Ribbon: Make your own accessory kit

Hello, my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and this will be my last post as RRR guest designer for January. I already made cards, altered bag, box and even taught you how to make your own Bow Maker. So today I am going to show you simple and lovely projects that can be even made with kids (10 years old girls will love it a lot)

All you need is this gorgeous Swiss Dots Bright Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon kit, wooden spools- small and one medium, tacky double sided tape, some old beads and some jewelry bases.

Let's begin with a necklace.

This is what we call "tie a knot" beading and you need about 3 yards of the hemp – I used the thin one from Bamboo Cord Multi Weight Set as some of the beads have small holes only.

Fold your hemp to half and make a tie, then begin to add beads and make it totally random. Add one bead over double string and then add one on one string only, make another tie and so on. But now, as you can see, the most colorful part of this project is those covered with dotted ribbon wooden spools. The size on the small spools is just perfect for ribbon width in this collection. Use your Score tape to add small bits of ribbons and add more beads until the necklace is done. Tie the ends and your necklace us done.

Now for the hear clips. I used the pre- made wooden clips base, but you can make it from polymer clay, paper clay or use the old piece you already have. This time use stronger glue (kind of jewelry making one) and add 3 strips of our dotted ribbon over it. Now cover the big wooden spool with 3 different dotted ribbons (the size is just perfect for full 3 ribbons to cover it all) and glue the spool over the clips. Add the metal base with the same strong glue and your hear clips is done.

And as I still hade a lot of ribbons and some small spools I decided to make this dash pin using the metal base (ca be bought in every craft store)

I wrapped 2 small spools and glued them over the metal base (use strong glue) and then added a small bow over it for this fancy look.

So, as I said, even  kids can do it, but please be careful with glues (those are not kid safe glues after all) and with a pin (just cover it with a cover before they begin).

I  used 4 different stamps from my set, all heat embossed and hand cut and this time I made a messy, kind of Mixed Media card, with dry acrylic embossing, inking chipboard, faux stitching, border punching and clustering all pieces together.
And a couple of close ups to showcase the stamps

Beaded Strawberry tutorial

Beaded chipboard tutorial

I love bare chipboards: they make you to be creative and to find more and more unique ways to embellish them.. So this Strawberry mini album piece from Maya Road was a perfect piece to use my own (I did it about 3 years ago for the first time and I 've never seen this kind of work before ) technique of " Paint and Bead" chipboard embellishment.

So here we go

Supply list: Maya Road chipboard strawberry; Red and Green Acrylic paint- I used some Ranger and some Plaid, you can use whatever you have; Red, green and black seed beads- you can make a mix of the same red and green colors as I did; 3d Glaze- I used Ranger Glossy Accents, but as you need a lot of this medium you can pick a cheap brand in any craft shop.

Step 1: Underline the leaves over your strawberry shape

Step 2: Fill the shape with a lot of acrylic paint- the more the better as shown. You don't have time to clean your brush- so use two cheap kids brushes and try to clean them later

Step 3: Fill the wet paint with your beads- do it totally randomly and use some color mix, don't touch them, just add more to cover almost all the paint. As a last touch add some bigger black beads, not too much of them over the red ones.

Step 4: Cover the entire piece with a think layer of your 3D glaze. Leave it to dry- it takes ages, but the result is gorgeous. Now you can clean your paint brushes… LOL

Step 5: Your chipboard piece is ready to be used over your card or another art piece
I decided to show you the same piece added to my "So berry sweet" card and to my Strawberry Girl Forever lo… I am not sure where I am going to use it- I think I need another one done and thank to Maya Road this is a mini album, so I have more strawberries for my future use
