Birthdays and Happy Mail

Vandaag laat ik nog wat verjaardagskaarten zien die ik heb gemaakt. De meesten van jullie weten inmiddels wel dat ik bepaald niet weg ben van Tilda, daar word je zowat onder bedolven! Maar goed, sommigen vinden die plaatjes super, onder wie mijn tante die een paar dagen geleden jarig was ;-) Deze was voor haar, een soort schaduwkaart met sneeuw erin. Ik weet dat ze er heel blij mee was, dus ja, dan is 't goed hè ;-)
Today I'm going to show a couple of birthday cards that I made recently. Most of you know that I'm not very partial to Tilda, they're nearly ruling the blogging world! But hey, some really adore these images, my aunt is one of them, she celebrated her birthday a couple of days ago. So this shadowbox card is for her, some snow inside, I cut the snowflake from a shape I snatched off the internet. I know she was so pleased to get this card and that's all that matters to me ;-)

En gisteren was de vriendin van m'n neef jarig, voor haar heb ik deze vintage-kaart gemaakt, de bloem is weer zelfgemaakt (zie onder mijn tutorials voor de uitleg hiervan):

And yesterday my cousin's girlfriend was celebrating her birthday, I made her this vintage style card. The flower is DIY (you'll find the how-to in my tutorials section):

       

En hier is de laatste kerstpost van het jaar waar ik erg blij mee was. Nogmaals allemaal heel hartelijk dank voor al die prachtige zelfgemaakte kaarten, stuk voor stuk juweeltjes waar ik nog steeds van aan het genieten ben! Dikke kus!

And I'd also like to show you the last Christmas mail of the year. I was so pleased and honoured to receive so many gorgeous homemade cards, each and every single one of them a precious gem, I'm still enjoying them!! Again a big warm thank you to you all girls! Mwah!

Magnolia beterschapskaartje - get well card

Toch nog maar weer eens een Magnoliaatje gepakt voor dit kaartje. Ik heb hier het papier van Imaginisce Perfectly Posh voor gebruikt (Chic Speak en Fur & Finery). De pocket en tag zijn gestempeld en geembossed. Voor de hartjesrand één van de ponsen van Martha Stewart gebruikt. Hier en daar wat bling toegevoegd en klaar!
I took out one of my Magnolia's for this card. I used the Imaginisce Perfectly Posh papers (Chic Speak and Fur & Finery). The pocket and stamp were embossed. I punched the laced hearts with one of Martha Stewart's punches, added some bling here and there, ready!

Magnolia

Ook bij mij is de Magnolia-koorts toegeslagen; je komt er niet meer onderuit. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor iemand die op dit moment heel erg veel steun en liefde kan gebruiken. Ze is dol op lieve afbeeldingen en ja, daarvoor is een Magnoliaatje nu eenmaal erg geschikt. Ik heb voor de achtergrond het nieuwe papier van Prima Marketing gebruikt (Raspberry Tee). Het afdrukje is ingekleurd met Derwent Coloursoft. De randen heb ik gedistressed met Tim Holtz distress ink Tattered Rose. De bloemen zijn met diverse ponsen gemaakt. 
I've caught the Magnolia fever, too! This is a card I made for someone who is in dire need of lots of love and attention right now. She's very fond of anything cute and that's what this little Magnolia is. For the background I used the new Prima Marketing papers (Raspberry Tee). I coloured the stamp with Derwent Coloursoft. The sides are distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink Tattered Rose. I made the flowers with the use of various flower punches.  

Hier is de binnenkant van deze gatefold-kaart. Het hart heb ik gestempeld met Colorbox cocoa en daarna ingekleurd met Perfect Pearls.

Here's the inside of this gatefold card. I stamped the heart with Colorbox cocoa and coloured it afterwards with Perfect Pearls.
