Will You Marry Me?

Allereerst moet ik sorry zeggen tegen jullie, omdat ik al zowat een hele week niet bij jullie langs ben geweest... Het is superhectisch op dit moment met bezoeken bij en van klanten/leveranciers, dat het bloggen er een beetje bij inschiet. Hoop dit echter van het weekend allemaal in te halen hoor (en dat ik dan weer eens lekker ouderwets kan gaan freubelen, want ook dat komt er nu niet van!). Vandaag hebben we voor jullie een nieuwe challenge bij Vintage Udfordring en dat is "Huwelijk". Er zijn ook weer leuke prijzen te winnen trouwens ;-) Manlief en ik kennen elkaar trouwens ook alweer 27 jaar en hebben het nog steeds superleuk samen, we verrassen elkaar regelmatig met van alles en nog wat (wat laat ik graag aan jullie verbeelding over, ha ha ha!) Maar het belangrijkste is dat we altijd iets aan elkaar te vertellen hebben en echt praten. En jullie? Ben benieuwd naar jullie verhalen! Ik kom gauw langs, beloofd!

First of all I'd like to say sorry to you girls for not having visited your blogs for about a week now... Things are extremely hectic at work at the moment with visits to and from customers/suppliers, hence the lack of time to blog. I hope to catch up with you all this weekend though (and to do a bit of crafting myself as well, because I don't have time for that either, argh!) Today we have a new challenge for you at Vintage Udfordring which is "Wedding". By the way, there are some nice prizes to be won as well ;-) My DH and I have known each other for 27 years now and are still having a great time and lots of fun together, we love to surprise each other with all kinds of things (I'll leave that to your imagination, LOL!) But most importantly: we always TALK! How about you? Would love to hear your stories! Will visit you soon, promise!

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married...

Voor deze pop-up kaart heb ik maar weer eens papier van Webster's Pages gebruikt :-) Met de Nestabilities Curved Rectangles de achterkant van het 'trouwkapelletje' gemaakt, de zijkanten zijn met de Martha Stewart pons Deep Garden Trellis gemaakt. Ik vond het plaatje van het echtpaartje zo schattig, maar let vooral op het jongetje dat de sleep draagt! Die blik in zijn ogen! Het paradijsvogeltje is gestanst met Tim Holtz Alterations, zijn staart met een Sizzix swirl en de blaadjes in de trellis komen weer van Marianne Design, nou alle merken komen zo'n beetje voorbij geloof ik :-) Ik heb helaas alleen geen aandelen in deze fabrikanten... Ben eerder een grote sponsor, moeten ze ook maar niet zulke mooie dingen maken! De kaart kan helemaal worden ingeklapt om te worden verstuurd. En wat is een huwelijkskaart zonder kant?

For this pop-up card I again took one of my Webster's Pages papers :-) With the Nestabilities Curved Rectangles I made the back of the 'wedding chapel', the sides were done with the Martha Stewart Deep Garden Trellis punch. I immediately fell in love with the picture of this small wedding couple, but I especially love the little boy carrying the veil! See that look in his eyes?!? The little paradise bird was made with Tim Holtz Alterations, its tail with a Sizzix swirl and the leaves along the trellis are from Marianne Design. I think I've just about mentioned all the brands :-) Unfortunately I don't hold any stocks of either of them ... I'm more like a big sponsor I guess, why are they making such beautiful stuff to work with ?!? This card can be folded flat, so it can be sent easily. And what's a wedding card without lace?

Love is in the Air

Voor deze 'kaart' heb ik als basis een hoge hoed gebruikt; ik zocht naar inspiratie en vond die in de hoed die bij ons aan de muur hangt. Als 'aankleding' heb ik mijn ponsen gebruikt en bloemen, vlinders en swirls gestanst. De afbeelding van het bruidje komt van het internet. 

For this 'card' I cut out a top hat. I took my inspiration from the top hat that's hanging on one of our walls. I embellished it with punched flowers, butterflies and swirls. The image of the vintage bride is from the internet.

Tomorrow my sister-in-law and brother-in-law will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, so I made them this card.
