Christmas with 2S4Y

  Another one of my fave sketch challenge blogs is Laura and Kazan's 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU, their handmade sketches are just so great and challenge me to keep things more simple then just adding on endlessly. So with this weeks sketch I made a tea light card that I found the directions on how to make at Marianne's blog. She made a fab tutorial for StampArtic. I gave this to my grandmother and now I have to make 15 more for her friends.. *puuuuuh*

Double trouble

 Today I want to share with you two cards I made for two different challenges but I'm cramping them into the same post as I'm a bit lazy tonight. Both cards are ordered by my Aunt and she wanted something purple. I had been shopping a week in advance and had these gorgeous Magnolia papers lying all ready for me to get creative with. So it was a great excuse ;) 
The first card is for SKETCH SATURDAY where they had this fabulous sketch that I just tilted the elements of a bit and added a square instead of a circle image.    

 

 

   The second card is also a easel card, using Laura's sketch 60 @ 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU. The style of the 2S4Y girls is very different from mine, but I felt inspired to try and keep it "simple" and therefore my front side of this card is without a image. I have placed the image on the inside instead.

Lucky me got a goodie bag from Wenche @ Korthobby.no with the most gorgeous charms, asking if I could make some cards for her to show cast with the charms. And who was I to say no ;) So I have used charms under the text for my first card and in the flowers for my second card. So make sure you vist her shop and check out all the gorgeous (and at a very good price to) charms!! ;)

"Kickin' It for Michelle"

Today I want to show you a card I made for Michelle, the girls at A Spoon Full of Sugar have started a card drive to cheer her up after she had an accident that left her to lose her right eye and facing a long term recovery. I thought this was such a great idea so I downloaded the free digi stamp from the Whimsy Stamps site and made a card for Michelle. I followed this weeks sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You that Laura made. 

I have given my COPIC markers a try and I'm pretty content with how they work.

2S4Y - 1st Annual Ultimate Card Showdown Week 1

At my fave sketch blog 2 Sketches 4 You they are celebrating their 1st Anniversary and they are doing it in style. They have a grand price worth $500, can you believe it? I sure would like to get my hands on that. And they are also giving away random picked prices, card of the week +++ much more goodies! For the sketch of week 1 I made a thank you card, I tried to make it clean and simple and this is how it turned out:


I have used Bazzill CS, MME DP, Martha Stewart border punch, ribbon from stash and a printed text saying thank you in Norwegian, using the font Porcelain.

And this is what my lawn looked like after a heavy storm and ice rain:

2S4Y - Kazan's Sketch 27

I have been so busy with the launch of the Passion for ProMarkers blog and my normal life that I haven't had time to make any cards. But tonight I did manage so squeeze in some time to make a card with Kazan's lovely sketch! I just love the sketches that Kazan & Laura make, they are very inspiring and I notice I make cards in a different style then I usually do when I enter 2S4Y. I think it must be all the circles and great DT cards :p

Also at Simon Says this weeks challenge is ANIMALS, so I'll join that one to. And at Charisma Cardz the theme is dots so hopefully my circle and scalloped image will qualify! :)

3 challenges into one, wow that's not like me, but any ways here's my take on Kazan's sketch:

For this card I used bazzill bright light blue and kraft, 3ndypapir DP, a digi stamp from Dustin Pike (my first time ever using a digi stamp, woo hoo), letters are from ADORNit and the ribbon is from stash but colored with Cola Aqua ProMarker. The image is colored with ProMarkers (Vanilla, Dusky Pink, Cool Grey 1, Sandstone, Cinnamon and Cool Aqua)

2S4Y Laura's Sketch 26

How much more simple can it be? I am on a C&S roll today I think.. Hehe.
Laura has made a great sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You, and I think I will do more cards with the sketch.
I've also decided to use scraps for the thank you cards I'm making for my grandmothers funeral. We received so much flowers so we have a lot of people to thank. She loved colors so having them in different colors will just be a nice thing :)



I just love the Spellbinders nestabilities. I got label two & three in the mail yesterday from my cousin Louise, thank you so much sweetie! :)

2S4Y DT CALL

Laura and Kazan has given me permission to show you the cards I made for the DT Call at 2 Sketches 4 You. I love their blog and their sketches are my fave. And they always leave such heart warming comments!

This is a small gift bag that I made for my friend Beate, she has just started making cards so I wanted to give her some stamped images, so I filled the bag up with that as she was VERY happy to receive it. I'm so in love with the colors on this bag (as you might have noticed) they are just so warming!!

For the other sketch I made a 15x15 card for a friend that makes me smile. I haven't given it away yet, so one of you watching this might just be the one to get it! ;)

So I'm crossing my fingers, legs and anything that can be crossed that I make the DT. It would be such a joy and adventures. I love the 2S4Y challenges and all the DT girls are so creative and inspiring!! Wish me LUCK!! :)

2S4Y - Kazan's Sketch 24

Very soon confirmations start here in Norway so I have to make some cards for that, but my mojo haven't been all that great lately, but today I finally managed to make a card! I used Kazan's sketch. On the card I have used the Maribell stamp from Stempelglede (thanks for Livi & Sille for the print, think I'll have to ask them for more of this gorgeous girl), Bazzill and DCWV papers, the sentiment (don't remember where it's from)is hanging down with scrappersfloss, Retro flower punch, Mulberry flower, Pin from Plantasjen, Martha Stewart border punch and "rips"ribbion.

And make sure you stop by 2 sketches 4 you as they have a DT Call for the summer turn now, I'm sure going to submit an application! Cause 2S4Y is one of my fave's!!!!!!

Monster Card

Over CCC this weeks challenge is to make a card with monsters. Non scary once offcourse. Hehe. So I used this weeks sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You and make this silly little card! I printed the cookie monster on my computer and colored it with my ProMarkers, I was afraid that the printer ink would bleed but it worked perfectly. So now I'm confident that I can download coloring pages online and color them with my ProMarkers :) (I printed it on the Letraset paper for ProMarker pens) The sentiment is from a norwegian stamp set from Norsk Stempellblad. Here's the card:



The design paper is from a Norwegian company called 3ndypapir. They have a new line that was released this weekend at the Crafting Show I went to, and I love them. If you want to see their line and find out where to get them go to 3NDYPAPIR's blog!

Since this card is pretty simple and clean I'll submit it as my second card to the clean and simpel challenge over at Sukkersøtt. :)

2S4Y - Bonus Sketch *spring*

Here's my card that i made with the bonus sketch at 2S4Y this week. I also surfed by Lena Katrine's blog and found a Cupcake craft challenge where the team this week was spring, so I thought I would submit it there as well! :) So here's the card which my cousin Stian will get on sunday. His birthday is today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Stian, see you on sunday for the family celebration. He is currently in the army and will come home handsome in his uniform :) I

2S4Y - Bonus Sketch & Photo News

Here's my card for the Bonus sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I really enjoyed playing this week and think LuLu (Laura) did a great job on the bonus sketch. Made the card in the same papers as Laura's Sketch 20 card as you can see. Masked the boy up and colored with my new Pro Markers and some Distress Refill ink.And guess what, today we went to pick up Joachim's new camera. A Canon Eos 50D and with it there was a backpage designed for Eos cameras which was really nice. Check out his blog later on tonight for a update on the cam! And since he has bought a new cam I get to inhearit the Eos 400D that we bought in the UK last May. Jippi yeah! :)

2S4Y - Laura's Sketch 20

Made this card for this weeks 2S4Y. Working on the bonus sketch but wanted to put up something on the blog wall today so here goes. Hope you like it :) Decorated insides as well but they havent been photographed yet as my private photographer is deep into designing and editing his new photo website (http://naess.net) If you're really sweet you will leave him some comments, as he is checking if he has gotten any yet every 5 min. And we all know the joy of comments right ladies? :)

Kazan's Sketch 20 - 2S4Y

I kveld har Joachim okupert stua og kjøkkenet med softbox prosjektet sitt så da rømte jeg litt inn i hobby hula mi! Jeg fikk laget ett God Bedrings kort og rotet til plassen min ennå litt mer. Evig kaos i hobby hula, men det fine er jo at jeg ikke trenger å rydde vekk når jeg er ferdig, jeg kan bare skyve stolen inntil og slukke lyset! :)

Bildet er tatt mot hvit bakgrunn og på en glassplate for å få gjennskinnsefekten. Den nye 50mm og eksterne blitzen var virkelig verdt pengene!

Eye candy

På 2 Sketches 4 You bloggen så kan man vinne premier nå disse dagene frem til Valentines Day. For å være med skal en vise fra eye candy for blog candy. Min eye candy er min skjønne bestefar som fylte 92 år nå i januar. Han er prikk lik min oldefar og er alltid så blid og glad. Bildet tok jeg idag da han var ute for å hente litt ved. Han løper gjerne ut uten jakke og i tøflene sine, og da får han en skjennepreken, men idag hadde han iallfall på seg støvler :)

I kveld har jeg laget en reste tag og ett kort til 2S4Y. Idag har det vært så strålende vær så jeg har vært ute i flere timer og drukket så mye kakao at jeg ble så stinn. Hehe. Legger ved noen bilder av hvordan vintern er her hos meg nå :) God natta, sees imorgen :)

Idag sov jeg lenge og det var så deilig å ta igjen litt søvn etter helga. Konkurransen foregår ennå og jeg føler meg litt mer letta idag nå som jeg vet jeg må på jobb imorgen tidlig og det fortsatt sitter folk og er super nervøse og mangler søvn. Så da fikk jeg ryddet som smått hjemme (dog ikke så mye som jeg burde..) og hatt besøk av kusine Hege. Min produksjon idag endte på to valentines kort. Det brune og lyseblå skal Joachim få for det var ikke altfor sukkersøtt syns jeg. Det rosa var etter skisse fra 2S4Y og love is in the air challenge fra A Spoon Full of Sugar.
