Dinner

.
Timmy and I have struck a deal. He gets a point if he tries something new at dinner and can later cash in those points for a new toy. We had a long talk about how he'd never know that he liked ice cream if he hadn't tried it. So tonight he tried a chicken drumstick-and shocking to him-he liked it and ate nearly the whole thing! He likes chicken in other forms, but has been hesitant to try it this way. So yea! Who knows it will last-but I'm thankful for a small victory!

Ben was not home for dinner so Lucy felt the need to look out for the spiritual care of the family. Every couple minutes she'd yell at us "Pray" and wouldn't stop until I said a prayer. We prayed at least 1/2 a dozen times. Silly silly girl!

Disneyland

Grandma with Lucy and Timmy and Pooh (Lucy did not like Pooh or Tigger!)

Star Tours

We got to go to Disneyland last Saturday. We were blessed with free tickets so we took advantage. Unfortunately the kids were not feeling great and it was quite warm. This made for a little shorter day than we anticipated, but it was still a great time! Timmy's favorite was the Buzz Lightyear ride and Lucy's favorite was the Teacups. Timmy enjoyed meeting the characters-Lucy was afraid of them!

Two dirt loving kids

The kids both really enjoyed the California weather and the fact that they could play outside. One of their favorite things was being able to play in the dirt in Grandpa's garden. I've never seen Lucy concentrate so hard on one activity. Although I love winter--this makes me eager for spring

The ongoing saga

We made it to Disneyland yesterday and I'll post pictures of that later. It was a bit of a tough day as the crowds were insane and neither of the kids was feeling great! But if you're gonna have a tough day, Disneyland is the place to do it! All day I could tell Timmy was not right, his eyes just looked bad. Alas he woke up last night proclaiming his ears hurt. So we went to the dr. again this morning and he has a double ear infection. I'm pretty sure the local CVS is going to miss us when we're gone. Hopefully the medicine will help his ears to start feeling better before our flight tomorrow! Lucy climbed out the pack n play last night. I heard her yelling for me in the middle of the night and found her out in the family room, little stinker! She's the same age Timmy was when he started figuring out how to get out of his crib...hopefully she'll hold off on that for awhile!
