We're trying to have fun!

Unfortunately Lucy now has a double ear infection and had a 104 fever yesterday! We had a couple days where she felt okay-Tuesday and Wednesday. So we hit the zoo and hit the beach for some fresh air. Here's to hoping she's on the mend quickly!

On the road

The kids and I are in California for a visit. We had a really nice weekend with Christopher and Courtney (his girlfriend). Saturday we got to spend time with my Grandma and Uncle's family too. Right now the kids are both fighting illness with a fever and nasty cough. Hopefully they'll get healthy quickly so we can do something fun!

Bookworm

The last week Lucy has really started to play on her own. The other night I left her sitting in the playroom by the bookshelf reading. I could hear her talking away. Finally after 45 minutes I went back to check on her. She was sitting surrounded by books and had completely cleared the bottom shelf of all the books.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

This morning the kids and I made chocolate covered strawberries for our church secretary's birthday. I had 7 strawberries, Lucy had to have one (before chocolate!). Timmy wanted one after chocolate. I thought five would be a great number to take to her. A few minutes later he comes to tell me he got the biggest one. Little stinker had taken one of the birthday ones... He felt really bad when he realized he wasn't supposed to have two! He recovered quickly when I promised to make more for Valentines day and wanted to know how soon we could go get more strawberries.

Hee Haw

At the end of dinner we say a prayer. Tonight I said it phrase by phrase so Lucy could repeat . It went something like this:

Me: "Oh Give Thanks unto the Lord"
Lucy: "Ba ba ba Lord"
Me: "For he is good"
Lucy: "Ba ba ba dood"
Me: "And his mercy endures forever"
Lucy: "Ba ba ba boever"
Me: "Amen"
Lucy: "HEEEE HAAAW"
Me: "Did she just say Hee Haw?"
Ben: Yes she did
Us: Laughing hysterically
