Sending Love

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another card using the latest offerings from Uniquely Creative!  This beautiful floral and matching die set is called Sending Love and there are so many things you can do with all the mix and match pieces!  This time I've decided to create a type of wreath/circle effect using two of the flowers and many of the leaves.

I've created my card with a base of blue, layering with white and a piece of paper from my stash that had a tiny amount of green.  Next I took a piece of white card, lightly airbrushed the edges with Copic G43 and then die cut an oval out of the middle so the patterned paper showed through.  I've die cut a piece of white using Chunky Lace Die and popped it under the bottom edge of the rectangle.  Then came the fun part of stamping all the flowers, leaves and sentiments from Sending Love off, colouring with Copics and diecutting with the matching Sending Love Dies.  I had a bit of a fiddle to get the look I wanted and then glued them into place.  Finally I've added the sentiment and popped it up on foam tape.

Happy Birthday Birdie

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have another card using the new release by Uniquely Creative!  How fun is the birdie from Beautiful Bird!!  Once again I have made it into a Rosella adding the black dots on the wings, but this time coloured it as a Yellow Rosella.  Rosellas come in an abundance of different colours, the photo below was my inspiration, but of course this birdie could be any kind of parakeet, so let your imagination run wild!

I've used a base of purple, layered with cream, saffron yellow and white stamped with yellow feathers (the feather stamps are from Beautiful Bird).  Next I used two rectangle dies to create a frame of saffron yellow card.  I've lined up the frame, stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Bird into place and then popped the frame up on foam tape.  Next I stamped the branches several times as well as the bird from Beautiful Bird and coloured with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils.  I've die cut the branches and bird using the matching Beautiful Bird Dies and attached as shown.  To finish I've accented with a few tiny Crystal Rhinestones.

Sending You Love

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another card I've made as a guest designer for Uniquely Creative!  This gorgeous set is called Sending Love and has matching Sending Love Dies!  Aren't these blooms just amazing!

I've folded a piece of light blue card for the base.  The main layer is constructed of white card, a piece of watercolour blue patterned paper and topped with another piece of white card.  The top piece of white has been die cut with Interlocking Scribble Circles Die to give a little texture.  The flowers from Sending Love have been stamped in grey ink onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've then die cut them with the matching Sending Love Dies and glued as shown.  The sentiment from Sending Love has been stamped in black and trimmed to size and popped up on foam tape.  I've then popped the entire card front up on foam tape on the base card and finished with a few Crystal Rhinestones.

Beautiful Girl

Hello Everyone!  I have some super fun news that I've had to keep secret for a little while....this month I'm a guest designer for Uniquely Creative!  If you haven't heard of them before, Uniquely Creative is an Australian stamp and die company with some beautiful designs and I've been blessed to be ask to join the team this month!  You can follow all the latest news on the Uniquely Creative Blog!

Let me introduce you to Beautiful Bird!  My first reaction was "How CUTE is this bird"....my second reaction was...."What sort of bird is this and how do I colour it?".  I have to admit I'm a little bird-challenged and did a lot of research on this bird and in the end decided it must be a Rosella!

This bird didn't actually come with the spots on the wings, I drew them in with a Black .01 Copic Multiliner.  I've stamped and coloured the bird and leafy branches from Beautiful Bird with a large range of Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and then die cut with the matching Beautiful Bird Dies.  I've stamped the "Beautiful Girl" sentiment in pink ink and die cut with the matching die.  The other sentiment is also from Beautiful Bird and I've trimmed it with a paper trimmer.  Once I had all my pieces, I constructed the card using green for the base.  Next I've taken white card, die cut some feathers using Uniquely Creative Sketchy Feather Trio 1 Die set as well as a layer for the card.  I've placed the feather die cuts over the panel and airbrushed with Copic G43 to create my background.  Around this I've added pink ribbon and topped with a panel of pink and white (lightly airbrushed with Copic G43) and popped it up on foam tape.  I've glued all the images and sentiments as shown and finished with some Uniquely Creative Silver Pearls.  (Just a heads up, you can buy the stamps and dies as a bundle!)
