Bottle vase

I cut the top off a large lemonade bottle and a smaller water bottle and stuck one inside the other. I then filled the sides with fibres, glitter and beads and then topped off with some glue. It is completely water tight so I filled the inner container with water and cut some flowers and branches from my garden. A great little flower container for my craft room.

I saw this done on someone elses blog but now can't find it. I would love to give credit where due so if you do know who's it is please let me know.

Peg Doll

Zoe kindly sent me 3 pegs to make into dolls - this is my first one - I really enjoyed playing around with it. I used 4 different materials for her clothes, her arms are pipe cleaners and her hair is done with distress stickles

Week 28 In Stitches

My background was created out of cardboard - I cut the circle around a plate, tore off some of the paper and then used Acrylic Dabbers for color. The next circle is the piece that you tear off when you open one of those big tins of coffee !! I run it through my big shot using one of Tims new Embossing Folders I then coloured it with Alcohol Inks. My image was from a magazine I used Brasso to take away the surrounding picture and writing - this works really well - give it a go !!! I attached my image with my sewing machine to a black piece of cardstock which I had also run through Big Shot in an embossing folder and then inked. I mounted all my pieces together and then added my little hanger

Week 27 people and places

My background is from Dezinaworld I stamped my main image - Tim Holtz Collection on to card with stazon and then added some Old Paper Distress ink I then added my ticket. To finish off I distressed and added ink to the edges

Another altered frame

My friend came to play yesterday this is what we got up too. I painted my frame with black Gesso and then using texture paste I created my corners which I stamped into with a scroll stamp

When the paste was dry I put on another coat of black Gesso

When that was dry I covered the raised areas with Decopatch glue and dipped it into my box of gold leaf flakes

When it was dry I used a nylon pan scrub to brush off the excess. I fiinshed off with a touch of gold rubnbuff.

We both did a frame each and had a whale of a time.

Altered frame

For this frame I first put on a coat of Gesso after sanding it down. I then put on a coat of gold acrylic and before it was dry put on my coat of red crackle paint. It certainly has made a great crackled finish
