Lotstodo Challenge - In Stitches

I created my wall hanging by covering my chipboard with paper and Mod Podge I then stamped my main image (Stampington and Co)on to tissue paper with Stazon and added that with more Mod Podge. I then - using my Tim Holtz Ruler put holes around the edges to stitch through. I stitched these with black cotton. I then added some small stamped images - another coat of Mod Podge and then some buttons. I made my hanger out of an old tape measure. I finished the whole piece by inking the edges.

Create By Hand - red and Pink

I made a skinny for this challenge I firstly inked the LH side of my card with pink ink I then put on my Tim Holtz mask ( on to the card that is - I'm not sitting here with a mask on lol)I then - using my brayer put red ink all over the card - I removed the mask then stamped my main image (Rubber Stampede) with stazon and coloured the butterfly and rose. I finished off by stamping faux stitching to the top and bottom of the card.

Object D'Art - Altered book

I cut an aperture out of my hard backed note book. I then decorated the front with my word and all sorts of bits and bats whilst playing with my Ten Second Studio tools. I coloured with alcohol inks and then rubbed some of it off. I then made an atc for the insert put it in and covered it with beeswax. I intend to use this book for recording swaps I'm doing.

Lotstodo Challenge - Frame

I used pasta and alcohol inks to alter my frame. I'd seen similar on some-one elses blog but for the life of me I can't find it to give them credit. if it was you - thanks for the inspiration!!!I used modpodge to stick the pasta to the frame and then alcohol inks to colour both it and the parts of the frame showing. I haven't decided yet whats going inside - maybe some of the stunning artwork I've received.

EDITED - I've since found out where I got my inspiration from to do this frame - it was from the lovely June - Please pop and see the stunning pasta frame she created

TGIF - Books

Sam had a sad end to 2008 so all her forum friends made skinny pages for a book. I had the pleasure of making the covers and putting the book together. I used the faux leather technique to make the covers then with Ten Second Studio tools I made the plate to go on the front. Sam has now received the book and is delighted.

Lotstodo Challenge - Keys

I used mod podge and torn paper (music paper, dictionary page, account page and a page with Chinese writing on) to create texture for my background - I then covered it with alcohol inks using just a tiny bit of gold. I used matching colours of distress inks on my grungeboard pieces to give them a "rusty" look. I then painted around the outside with crackle paint and highlighted the cracks by going over with cutndry and brown ink. I finished it off by adding my hooks ready for the keys.
