FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - 'Fall Colours'

Hi everyone

Today sees the start of another Challenge at http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

It is Pat's turn to host this challenge and the chosen theme is 'Fall Colours '

Well I think this card says it all.  It is another one with a detachable tag.  Again, I have used items from Noor Design UK and also from my stash.

Showing the detachable tag:

It would be lovely if you had time to pop over and see the Design Team's beautiful inspiration and even better if you fancy joining in with the challenge. (http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ )

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - Things with Wings

Hi everyone

Today sees the start of another Challenge at http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

It is Norma's turn to host this challenge and the chosen theme is 'Things with Wings '

What a brilliant reason to make a Christmas card!  I love making Christmas cards.  'Things with Wings' - well what better excuse is there!

So, here we have it, my card using this gorgeous vintage image.  I think this might have come from one of the Pion Images from the Past papers but am unsure.  Several embellishments came from Noor Design UK, and of course items from my stash.  The dies were from Noor too.

It would be lovely if you had time to pop over and see the Design Team's beautiful inspiration and even better if you fancy joining in with the challenge. (http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ )

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE -

Hi everyone

Today sees the start of another Challenge at http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

It is Gina's turn to host this challenge and the chosen theme is 'Favourite colours '  It actually is not my turn to post, but this is such a lovely Challenge, and as Gina is a good friend of mine I decided to play along.

Well favourite colours?  I do not have firm favourites.  And the colours I favour for cards are different to the colours I like best when it comes to other things.  My overall favourite colour has to be dark Amethyst, and varying shades I think.   But where cards are concerned I do love to see pink and cream, or pink and white.  So this is one of my favorite colour combinations.

I chose several items from my stash, some of which were originally from Wild Orchid Crafts and Noor Design UK.   I have chosen the lovely Vintage shabby style that I so love, but there are no surprises there! lol

The image was a freebie found online.

You know how some cards when finished you are more pleased with than others?  Well I am really pleased with how this one has turned out.  It is not often I say that because I always feel very insecure and wonder if they are good enough.  But enough waffle.

It would be lovely if you had time to pop over and see the Design Team's beautiful inspiration and even better if you fancy joining in with the challenge. (http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ )

PION GIFT BAG

Hi everyone,

I hope your weekend is going well.

As promised I have a Gift Bag to share today which I made to co-ordinate with the card I posted on Wednesday 24 May.  I had such fun making these, I love making items to co-ordinate, if not actually matching.  The PION papers are such a joy to work with, as are items purchased from Noor Design UK.  There could well be items added from my stash too.

I made this a sort of criss cross style.  I absolutely love making this shape of card and decided it would be nice on a gift bag too.  Isn't it lovely to have some 'old faithful' favourite layouts to resort to when you just do not know what to make?

Here we can see the two detachable tags from the side:

As always, thanks for looking, and Happy Weekend.

PION CARD - Pretty n Pink!

Hi everyone

Remember I said I have a few cards queuing up in my saved cards folder?  Well here is another one?

Here I have a card I made a little while ago using Pion papers together with an assortment of things from my stash together with a selection of items from Noor Design UK.

I have a Gift bag which I made to co-ordinate and I will share this at the weekend.  I must say I had such fun making this set.

It is simply ages since I have entered any Challenges.  I am a bit out of date with these.  If anyone knows of any good ones to enter feel free to tell me.    So today I would like to enter the following Challenge:

Jules is hosting  this Challenge and the theme she has chosen is 'Angels, Fairies or Winter'

It is not my turn to post really, but as this Challenge will be running for four weeks until January 11th I decided I would like to play along.

We are sponsored by Lawn Fawn

This is very much a card made from my stash.  The papers are JOY.  Some of the products were a birthday gift but I think most things are obtainable from http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/

VINTAGE SCISSORS

Hi everyone,

I am here today to share another of my saved photos.

Again I am using an image from CMD, and unfortunately the shop is now closed.  I am so sad about this.  These Vintage scissors are one of my favourite images and so useful to pop on a card when the recipient is a crafter.

The die at the top is an On The Edge Die by Tim Holtz.
the die at the foot is a JOY die (from http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/)

In addition I have used a selection of embellishments from my stash but I guess if you look on the lovely shop at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/  you may well come across them (and much more!) on there.

As always, thanks for looking,

VINTAGE AT MAGIC MOONLIGHT

Morning everyone

This is a scheduled post.  When this goes live, I should be well on my way to a Craft Fair weekend with all my makes.  Without first checking, I think this will be one of them.  Fingers crossed for good weather this weekend!

I think I am right in saying this was an image from Magic Moonlight.  If not Magic Moonlight then it could be Janet K.  Again, it was very much a case of using up my stash, and as a lot of you know I love doing this.  The two die-cuts are Tim Holtz on the edge dies.  Love these!  I use them time and again.  The butterflies are punches.    The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the rest is from my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking,

Judy x

VINTAGE again

Morning everyone

Are you enjoying the Summer?  It is a little cooler here today.  We had a good shower of rain the other day and it finally cleared the air taking away that clammy feel.  That put a smile on my face and I bet I am not by myself in saying this too.

I am just logging on quickly this morning to share another Vintagey card I made recently.  This was made  when I went through a  phase of using some of the lovely images from Cardmaker's Delights.  I do miss that shop, it will be a sad day when my images are all used.  This image has to be one of my favourites.  Well I think the whole pack are to be honest.  I do have a plan B though.  Both Noor Designs UK and Live and Love Crafts have some lovely Vintage images.

You will see the edges are inked with Tim Holtz distress ink, and there is lots of Dutch Doobadoo Structure Paste added to the die-cuts.  The stockist?  Well Noor Designs Uk predominate here, but there are no surprises there!

I hope you like it, and thanks for looking,

FLORAL CREATIVITY

Hi everyone

I am here this morning with another floral creation.  This is another topper which I have in my stash from Kraftyhands.  As I said in an earlier post I had a phase where I sat using some of these lovely images.  Again, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and everything else is from my stash.

I have heard of two friends' family bereavements this week and it made me think.  Really this is something that I should have a couple of cards made ready for this sort of thing happening.  Also, I think Engagement cards too.  These are occasions that happen right out of the blue, and condolence cards are something we all hope we will never have to make. Food for thought eh?  So watch this space.  Will it be a case of do as I say? or do as I do!

As always, thanks for looking

HAPPY SUMMER - LILAC

Hi everyone

And a very Happy Summer to you  I hope you are all enjkoying your Summer, and Happy Summer too to those who are just finishing School for the Summer Holidays.

We have had it red hot here this past week or so, too hot for me really, although I can manage if there is a nice strong breeze.  We have had days when it has been very close and that just does not agree with me at all, it sends my hormones partying! lol  But, I am sure it is a whole load worse in the Southern part of the Country, so I am not really complaining.  I love a nice Summer's day when we can walk out without a cardi or coat with a nice cooling breeze, but just not red hot.  And now I am waffling!

So, I thought it was time I posted a card.  This is one I made when I had a phase of using some of the lovely toppers from Kraftyhands.

There are a selection of embellishments here, some from Wild Orchid Crafts and also Live and Love Crafts.  The rest are from my stash.

Thanks for looking again

ALL LINED UP

Hello everyone

I am here with another altered notebook/organiser.  This is one I made for the Craft Fairs and again I was using up some of my stash.  I just love using up stash and scraps!  But then a lot of you will already know this!

The image was a scrap from a sheet of paper, which one?  I am sorry I do not have a clue!  But isn't it lovely!  You will see there is a little bit of Mixed media amongst this too, and although it does not show there is also quite a lot of Durch Doobadoo Structure paste texturising it up (is that a word? - well it is now!).

The Challenge at Frilly and Funkie is entitled 'All Lined Up', well as you can see the paper has lines on it, so I would love to enter this into this lovely Challenge here at http://frillyandfunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/all-lined-up.html

As always, thanks for looking,

GDT - We Love Vintage - Sun, Beach, Sea - A BEACH CARD

Hi everyone

Well I am bubbling with joy to be invited to be invited as Guest Designer not for just July, but for August as well by this lovely Challenge Blog at We Love Vintage

The Challenge theme for July is 'A BEACH CARD'.  Well at first I was a little out of my comfort zone as I just did not have a Vintage image to fit this theme.  So my thanks go to my friend Tracy at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/  for hunting through her stash and finding me not one but two lovely images to fit the theme.   THANK YOU TRACY!

Well, there is quite a story to this.  BEACH? Now we live in a small Fishing Port on the North East Coast here in UK, and we are by the sea.  So if I can not come up with Beachy goodies, well I would be in the dunces corner! Haha.  So, I dragged hubby off to the beach, gathered sand, but would you believe there were no shells.  I never give up!  Off we went to our little shell shop and I came home with a lovely bag of tiny shells too.  As we were walking along the Marina, there were a load of crab pots stacked.  Well, a girl can not just walk past all these bits of rope the fishermen had dropped scattering the pathway!  What people must have thought I do not know! lol  I came home with some tatty bits of rope in my bag too!  They have all been washed and disinfected, and are good to use now.  Hey and use them I will!

So - onto my card.

But first - let me tell you, Tracy at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/
has the most brilliant 'collection' she is selling in her shop - and guess what?  The theme of the pack is 'Nautical'  Perfect for this Challenge!  Here is the link to the 'collection'  - http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/ourshop/cat_1180857-New-Crafteezee-Collection-Monthly.html

Border Dies/leaves  (and WOW they are fabulous!) - http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/
Papers and image from Tracy's stash
Lace (stunning!) - http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/
Flowers:  A birthday from my lovely friend Kelly
I have filled the little bottle with sand, this and the rope were from Live and Love Crafts
Shells - purchased locally.
It is hard to tell on the photo, but there is lashings of Ducth Doobadoo Structure paste added to this card (border die-cuts, flowers, leaves, rope, shells,)

It would be lovely if you had time to pop over and see the Design Team's beautiful work, and even better if you fancied taking part in the Challenge.  ( http://wlvc.blogspot.co.uk/

Monring everyone

Can you believeit is Saturday already!  The weeks are just flying by.  Here we are in July already!  I think this means it is official, I can start making Christmas cards!  I love making Christmas cards!  Love making them, but do not like writing them.

Well, this morning I am sharing a card photo which I made very recently.

The image is from Magic Moonlight.  I have gone a bit mad on embellishments, mostly items from  http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/, Wild Orchid Crafts and items from my stash.

Thanks for looking today and a very Happy Weekend.

FLORAL EASEL

Morning everyone

I am sharing today a card which I made a while ago.  It is sometime since I made a shaped card, and I could well be inspired to start making them again.  I absolutely love Fancy Folds, they aremore difficult to photograph at times, but I love making them.

The papers were from mu stash,as were the laces, apartfrom the lovely trim and that was from Live and Love Crafts.  I notice now that Tracy at Noor Designs UK is stocking a lovely selection of laces and trims plus some fabulous flowers.  Well in fact  it has become a real one stop shop!  ( http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/)

The die at the top right and base are JOY die, as are the banner and also the tag at the right and the border dies wereeither JOY or Marianne, but they are all from http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/

The flowers were from Live and Love Crafts, but again there is a lovely range now at http://noordesign-shop.co.uk/

I would like to enter this into the Challenge at http://scrapcardschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/
where the theme is shaped cards and flowers.  What a lovely theme!

Hi everyone

It is an excited me tuning in today.  I have just seen that I am invited to be Guest Designer for the lovely Challenge Blog at http://wlvc.blogspot.co.uk/  so you will guess I am doing the happy dance!  I love doing Guest Designer posts, and it is ages since I did one.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW

Yes, back again, and Yes it is two in one day again.  If you would like to see the first post please just scroll down the page.

I think I am quite missing being on Design Teams now.  At one time I was on seven but then I cut it down.  Now I am only on the one at the lovely Fussy & Fancy which I love.  Being on Design Teams does give motivation and lots of inspiration too.

Well, I spotted a lovely challenge over at The Allsorts Challenge Blog.  What a lovely theme!  'How Does your Garden Grow'  Considering all the rain we have had lately here on the North East Coast (not forgetting the aweful fog which I know is irrelevan but I had to mention it ! lol) our garden is quite wet at the moment.

I made this card last week and think it fits the bill quite well for this challenge.

Again this is very much a stash card, using lots of embellishments from my stash etc.  The die is from Noor Designs UK and is a JOY die.  I think the image is probably from Magic Moonlight.  I loved making this card.

I would like to enter this into the Challenge at http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
where the theme isw 'How Does your Garden Grow'

Again, many thanks for looking,

MAGIC MOONLIGHT VINTAGE

Hi everyone

I am here today to share a creation I made recently.  I have only recently got the photos uploaded to be honest.

I decided to try a slightly different layout for a change, it is one that sort of just happened, if you know what I mean?   I really did not know what I had in mind so I just decided to go with the flow.  I ended up sort of using up scraps, which as most of you will know I just love doing.

The image is from Magic Moonlight and the two dies are Tim Holtz on the edge dies.  The roses are from Wild Ordchid Crafts and everything else came from my stash.

I would love to enter this into the challenge at http://frillyandfunkie.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/pastels-and-pearls-challenge.html   where the theme is 'Pastels and Pearls'  What a fabulous theme!

As always, thanks for looking today
