Well it has been raining and windy, hands up who has had this nasty wind( not personally you understand lol ) it reminds me of that storm we had in 1987 anyone remember it? Trees were blowing over and landing on cars etc, crazy time that was , I was just about to find out I was carrying my son that year. What was you all doing?
I have a lovely Visible Image step by step for you to have a go out , a little recap with a bit extra on all we have been learning with the random inking since you all first met me
I used some really gorgeous and special stamps today and I hope you will agree it turned out pretty cool.
Take a look .
Ok so here we go.
Here is how mine looked after slapping the ink on (technical term) lol
Next remember how we did the same ink in the same colour zones just as we did on the first show, I used the gorgeous Grunge flourish , first I used the back of it around the edge of the card purple in purple and green in green.
Make sure you dry this layer properly with a heat gun and use an anti static pad to as it will stop the embossing powders from clinging to the other inks .I now switch to an archival ink so it gives me a nice crisp images and I am now using the simply divine Music background.
Once I stamped the music background twice in opposite corners I took the large butterfly and again kept the tones in the same colour zones so I didn't muddy the colours and stamped a few on the pageHere you can see the layers starting to build up and its already starting to look pretty don't you think?
On the last show I showed you how to colour your butterflies really quickly and no fussing, the simple way is to stamp them all how you want them and then while they are still on the paper just rub some colour into them how you want it, Once I did this I added some white dots and coloured in white some pieces to give a little more depth to them, \if you are wondering about the last butterfly in this picture,I took the butterfly stamp and inked it well with the Versafine , I then pressed the music background onto the inked butterfly which of course removed some ink and I stamped that image which is top right and then I took the music background and stamped out the image left there too which is the bottom right image. This is called Kiss stamping and usually used on more solid stamps like silhouettes but why not try it on any and see how it goes.
At this stage cut all your butterflies out, you can see the difference the white pen makes to the butterflies already. Once cut out take a sheet of double sided adhesive and then dip each one in whatever medium you prefer, glitter, mica flakes, Micro beads etc and set aside for a minute to dry etc.Go back to the original piece and take your glue pen and dot it wherever you feel you want the glitter etc.
I used some Frantage aged white powder on top of 2 of the corners where I used the music background too.
Next i stamped out on coconut white card the live your dreams stamp, you can just see it on the left if you look carefully, I heat embossed it with clear detail powder and versamark ink.
Then blended the same colours to create my focal piece for the card. I also stamped randomly the music
I matted and layered a couple of times and added my butterflies , which are super sparkly but the cameras just can 't pick it up well at all.
It definitely was a long project but very worth it I hope you will agree.
The gorgeous stamps used in this project are.
live your dreams Grunge flourish
