Visible Image Tuesday.. Yayyyyyy.

Hi Folks

Well as promised Visible Image tutorials have now moved to Tuesday and I thought I'd start with the step by step for my recent pink card that was done in aid of The Big Pink week for Breast Cancer awareness.
I am sorry it is a bit late coming.
This weekend was certainly a sad one , it would have been my husbands 60th birthday Saturday so we were all a little sad he wasn't with us to celebrate his special day on Halloween but I know he is always with us.
I hope everyone is well and that you all enjoy looking through this vision of pink using the very special Visible Image stamps.

To refresh on the Pink card here it is.

And here is the full step by step.

To start I took a rectangle piece of white card and used some picked raspberry and spun sugar distress inks to blend it all out to this fade in the above picture. I then used raisin adirondack ink and the script stamp from The Revolution set and stamped off the page in a random pattern. But leaving the top right and bottom left corner fairly clear.

Next I tore the paper toward me on those two corners that i left blank to expose the inside core . I used some of that raisin ink to rub those edges and also some Walnut stain Distress ink to darken them a little further. Set aside to dry.

I took a larger piece of white Card and glued the pink hessian I had in my stash to it to the left hand side.

I added foam to my first piece and added it to the second with some wet glue to stick on the Hessian really well.

Then I gave it a black mat to sit on which instantly makes the darker ink stand out.

I used some dripped glue with some Frantage embossing powders and glitter to add some interest to the the top right of the card as I knew I was going to attach something above this.

I stamped this lovely sentiment out and tore the edges inking the same way as the last piece with raisin and a little Walnut stain. Raising it up on to foam and adding it on a jaunty angle to the card front.

Next I took a plain white resin piece, which was a side on butterfly or moth one or the other and added some pink to it with a Promarker and the added glued and cover in glitters. This I glued above the embossing we did and to the to right of the sentiment.

Here is a close up.
All that was left from here was to add a little breast cancer symbol in ribbon topped with a pearl and I tied a bow using some of the hessian taken from the edges of another piece and added a sparkler to the knot and Voila... complete.

Here is the finished item again.

The stamps I used were .

 The best days.

Revolution.

I hope you enjoyed this one and you can see what you can do with just a couple of fabulous stamps and some hessian and glitter too.

Thanks for stopping by as always

Lots of love

Visible Image Wednesday.

Hi Friends.

Today I have the card I demoed in the tent at Aly Paly last week or so. This was the one I showed on the Sunday and I had the very kind hearted Stephen helping me grab a few bits and bobs which was a huge help. Thank you Stephen.
It was very different demoing with a camera focused just in one place and mirror image too so when you move one way it goes the other lol but I soon settled and even managed to give away this card to the person who answered my little question at the end of the session so I hope they are enjoying it now. I managed to resist wearing the Britney microphone though , I had to for fear of bursting into song with  ,oops I did it again or something....  ( a well known Britney Spears song with the youngsters apparently back in the day,  hehe).

Anyway I of course used the Fabulous Visible Image goodies and focused on the Be strong sentiment and the Revolution set which I will add at the end as always for reference.

So here is Sunday's card. "Being Strong".

This is before I added lots more glass glitter in the waves and the Black little flat back sparkles in the corners to finish off.
So to recap on how you start, it is the same as the tags we made at Aly Paly to tie in all together with the theme of getting inky and stamping into Utee etc.

To start.

Stamp the script from the Revolution Set randomly how you would like it on the background, I had mine in the two opposite corners as shown here.

Next I inked the background with the colours of my choice , opposite on the colour wheel and infinitely blendable too, I added two layers as always , go back to the post on the tags for more step by steps on how to blend inks and why two layers etc. I then added tone on tone inking and some flicked water as before and blotting the ink away to leave rings and shapes to fit in with splashing water.

Here is the small piece of UTEE with the small Fleur de Lis pressed into it when molten to leave this wonderful indentation which I added some black archival ink to the centre and rubbed over with some Treasure gold wax to pick u the high points.

I stamped my sentiment onto card and inked the edges and mounted it onto black card. I also added grey and blue around the lettering to make the writing really stand away from the card, like a shadow.
I added them each item to the card with foam to make the card a little more dimensional.

Lastly I went back in with my trick with the glitters in the wavy corners to really make some wet looking sparkles appear out of the waves with the White horses of the sea.

I hope you enjoyed today's little post , It isn't a huge in depth one as I am currently suffering from a near terminal case of Man Flu , I went back to work after having a wonderful two weeks annual leave to re for Aly Paly and catch a little Staycation time and after two days haha I have germs lol you have to laugh though and keep on sniffing.

Here are the stamps sets used as always.

I wanted to also remind everyone of next month being October and for Breast Cancer awareness there are events throughout the month here is the fab promo picture that Helen and Mark have created to explain what they and the team will be taking part in next month using the amazing Be Strong stamp that I featured above but any others too. Under the promo pic I have included Helen's words about it for you to have a look. Rarely are we not touched in our lives by someone that has some form of this awful disease nowadays but by keeping raising funds for the research at the fore of our minds hopefully one day we will have a cure  ( I try to hope that anyway ) .

Helen's words...

We are raising funds for Breast Cancer Care throughout October with fun challenges, competitions, a BIG PINK BLOG HOP and more! PLUS we will be donating 50% of all sales of our 'Stay Strong' stamp during the whole of October too!

Breast Cancer Care's BIG PINK event will help more people find a way to live with, through, and beyond breast cancer.

Donations can be made via our Just Giving page...

Visible Image Wednesday

Hello my lovely folks

I hope you are all doing ok this Wednesday, today I have my first post for Visible Image and the lovely Helen and Mark since all the hospital trips began. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them from the bottom of their heart for all the patience and support Helen has given me not only as co owner of Visible Image but as my friend too. Helen you are a lovely kind lady and I am proud to call you my friend , I really have appreciated your kind words and you are very special to me.

Also I want to thank all the wonderful Internet family  ( that's all you lovelies) who leave me such wonderful kind  whole hearted messages everyday , I wish I lived near each one of you so I could pop in with treats as I am so pleased you are all on my blog as part of the family. Huge hugs of appreciate from my house to yours ladies.

Ok back to today's card , I know its still a little early but I thought I'd do a little Christmas theme card , You all know how I love Visible Image stamps and these are from 3 little sets and I chose a gorgeous red with Festive berries distress ink and a purple  seedless preserves and at first thought I would think hmm not sure but I love how it came out.

What do you think?

I cut myself a piece of white stamping card and used black archival ink to stamp my Enchanting snowflake stamp randomly over the page, stamping off the page too. I then heat set them and took the script stamp from the Revolution set but first I used an anti static pad to run over the page to ensure no transfer of embossing powder on the snowflakes, I used the script in just two places on my background and embossed  with Clear detail powder.
I then took my inks
Festive berries and Seedless preserves from Lord Holtz of distress mansions.

I used the two colours in my usual way and blended them together in two layers on the background , I also took my snowflake and stamped it in each colour tone on tone and added a little interest into the background too.
I took the swirl from the Revolution set also and stamped it randomly in the top right and the bottom left corners and added parts of the swirl here and there with versamark again and embossed with bright gold powder, I also took a piece of card and stamped and embossed in gold 3 snowflakes which I cut out and stuck together to stick to the card on the left of the sentiment.
Here us another full view, You can see the lovely Winters miracle verse written by our lovely Helen of course. I cut it out with a Sissix framelet die and I just love the shape , it is so pretty and fits the verse perfectly, I decided  I didn't want to cover the lovely background more so I just inked the edges of the sentiment slightly and sprinkled glitter all over the edges and all over the snowflake too.

I then did lot s of matting and layering , some on foam some flat and wrapped a piece of purple ribbon over each end of one of the mats and added a little bow in opposite corners with the snowflake hanging (kind of) on the left with a pretty bit of bling in the bow centres.

Here you can see I  also pierced one of the mats for this card as it looked so pretty.
And lastly a long look at the card from the corner so you can see the layers and the dimension on the snowflake, all I did was fussy cut out the three snowflakes and bend them n the middle and hot glued them together , I threaded and glued a piece of gold string through the snowflake and added it to the ribbon on the card, i added the little bow on top and the bling to finish it off.
adding a few little pearls to each ribbon too.

Here are the stamp sets I used for this one.

Well I hope you enjoyed today's post and You will all leave me a comment so I can see what you think and I will see you back here tomorrow for CE weekly DT post.

Huge hugs and lots of love

Visible Image July Inspiration.

Hi Everyone

1st of the month which means a new challenge is beginning over on the Visible Image blog. This month is Anything goes so as long as you get your Visible Image stamps out you can enter with absolutely any theme and the winner gets to choose £20 worth of stamps for the prize if they are chosen. So us girlies on the team all create something for the beginning of the month and here is mine.

I chose to use the Time set with the background from the new Revolution set recently launched.

This is how I started stamping out the background stamp from the Revolution set in Brown versafine ink but if you have archival or any pigment ink then that will do just fine. I left a couple of gaps so I can add some tone on tone stamping once I add the colours to it.
So I chose just 2 colours and added them in my usual fashion then added some tonal stamping from the Time set in different areas to layer the colours etc. I then added some versamark around the edge and embossed it with Copper powder and I stamped some words and my title and embossed in true white. ( I made sure I dried my distress ink really well before any embossing and rubbed my anti static pad over it too as I didn't want my embossing powder to stick all over the card which can happen easily, so dry dry dry ladies.)
Here are the two colours I chose for this one.
So next I ripped my page in the corner and rolled the edges back, I pushed under a metal clock face from Prima and used versamark over the lower half and the ripped edges and randomly tipped on the copper powder down the left side of the card, I also sprinkle in a little white powder too.
I stamped the clock in Black archival ink and dried to heat set it. I then covered it in Versamark and embossing powder in clear and gave it two coats of that for a really glossy protected surface.
Next I did the trick with UTEE again I had 3 layers here and then pushed the wing stamp into it , of course I gave it a coat of embossing ink to help it release from the molton powder. I did this process for both wings to have the opposites of course.
Here's a close up of the wing cut out  and mounted on card ( you have to cut it out fairly quickly or the utee will crack so within the first 20 mins after stamping it out is the very longest.) Here you can see I took so black ink and lightly rubbed it over the wing to add a little dimension to it. Nice chrisp image and deep , this really shows just how deep these fab stamps really are.

I stamped out two black wings low down and used the two I stamped into UTEE with for the top wings and added a message metal ring and a cog and a nut thingy for the body and I kinda thought it looked like a butterfly a bit haha.
Here is a close up  ( look at me all David Bailey today haha)

So here is the stamp Sets I used on this one.

                                  Time Set                                                 Revolution

And a final look at the main image on the card.

I hope you like it and do consider entering the challenge it is good fun.

Have a great Tuesday and I will see you very soon

Hugs

Visible Image Sunday. man o man...

Good Sunday Morning  my lovely Blogglies

I think I have the loveliest kindest blogglies on any blog in the land of blogdom.. Thank you lovely ladies for being so caring, I have made some wonderful friends , gained a Nana which is wonderful cos I didn't have any so I feel honoured.

My favourite time of the day is when I get a minute to digest the lovely comments and see whether you liked the card or not that day and what you are all up too, I promise I read every single word and I feel very close to you all cos of it.

I haven't commented on the blog hop just in case you are wondering because when it comes to picking the winner with the random number picker It makes it easier to count but of course I was itching to answer all the wonderful messages as always.

Now This month the challenge at Visible Image was 'Man oh Man', well it is fathers day so it is so extremely appropriate. At the beginning of the month the team was a little larger so we split our inspiration makes into two and some of the team posted on the first and some of us are for today so here is my male them card of course using the wonderful new Revolution Set.

I love this effect I think it is very mainly and definitely in colours easily carried off for a guy.

So I took a piece of white card , not too thick so we can crumple it and make it have some creases later on .I stamped the writing from the Revolution set and wow The pattern repeats so easily and you cannot even tell where it starts and stops. Brilliant. I used a black archival ink and blasted it dry for a few seconds with my heat tool.
I then choose Peacock feathers, Vintage Photo and Walnut stain distress inks and coloured in my usual way ( you all know it now don't you).
First coat goes on very patchy and you can see the lines etc, ignore it and do another coat it will all come together, these colours all blend well into each other so over lap them this time and get rid of any white of the card this time. Run some Walnut stain around all the edges including the Peacock feather colour do darken and pull the eye into the main focus.

I crumpled the card up but not screwed it up, just made some obvious grooves and dips, a few creases too  so I can get some Gilding waxes onto it a bit later . I added the entire piece onto a piece of brown crinkled paper , It is very thin  so you have to be careful not to tear it but it suits a male card I think. I then cut myself a strip of Hessian ( ahh my lovely hessian, I missed you). I frayed all the edges and stuck it down on the back of the crinkle paper I also added a dollop (techy term lol) of glue to the front of the card under the hessian just so it didn't lift up or move etc.
I then matted that entire piece onto cream then a piece of soft gold card which i raised up onto foam and added that to a turquoise layer and lastly a thick Kraft layer for the back. So this was our base completed. Now the FUN....

I took a mixture of UTEE and normal embossing powder and opened them ready on the table, I took my stamps (yes my clear, deeply etched wonderful Visible Image stamps )and I coated them in versamark which will help the release.
The fleur de lis is done with 2 layers of normal gold detail embossing powder and 2 layers of utee, reason being , I am going to push the stamp into the Utee and through the layers down into the detail powder melted under those top coats so I will pick up all the wonderful marks and distress shapes in the designs still where you can sometimes miss some with Utee.
Once it begins to cool remove your stamp, slowly but deliberately and there it is a perfect little  Fleur de lis, I took some gilding paste and a paint brush and added lots just inside the the shape then I took a cloth and buffed it to a high shine and added it on foam and to the card. ( I also Inked the white edges of the card to keep it neat)
Then I wanted to use the full horse Image in the same way but I wanted the colours to mingle and run and mottle , This had the same amount of layers but slightly thicker each time, while the powder was still molten move quickly and again push your stamp covered  in versamark straight into the liquid metal. Again let it cool slightly and peel out the stamp, I was really happy with the cleanness under the image and again I used my gilding wax to cover the inside parts of the stamped area and buffed to a shine with a soft cloth.  I tore the edges and inked them with the two browns again and again used a little gilding wax on the edges to finish and pull everything together.
I decided I wanted the liberte word the same way so I went ahead the same way and did that and added it top left, I also decided i wanted a flourish In Ivory in the bottom right to balance the card and I just had enough room if I didn't use a block yayy.
Lastly I went treasure hunting in my stash  and I found a little metal crown to represent the King and a little gold (acrylic) fleur de lis which had to hit the card too. My last few moments were spent adding a few flat back gems

Well I love doing all these technique type things, it so good to get in there an play and see what comes of it isn't it.
What do you think then?
Now don't forget this set just launched yesterday and is selling like hot cakes , poor Mark and Helen were back and forth to the Post office getting them sent out as soon as the orders were in, can you believe that. Now that is customer service hey folks.

Anyway its just a quarter to three a.m as I am finishing the post so I am going to get some sleep and I look forward to reading your comments and chatting with you all again tomorrow, don't forget if you are lucky enough to have some visible Image stamps , why not make something manly and enter the challenge , you may win and you can choose more lovely stamps from the shop too.

Here again is the fabulous set I used to create the above card.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone and I will speak to you throughout the day.

Huge Hugs

Love
