It's time for a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Candy wrapper or Gift Bag

Are you ready for another fun Sassy Cheryl's Challenge?  This week our wonderful Judy has chosen the theme, Candy wrapper/gift bag, and oh the possibilities,  Here is my project:

What fun I had with this image, called Not your Average School Marm.   Isn't she just the cutest little book mark, to go along with the candy bag I made with my cricut, to be filled with chocolates or some other delicious treat to let the teacher know you are in the class room, like she wouldn't know :) There is a tassel of baker's twine, in the traditional book mark style, but doesn't show in the photo as I hid it behind the red bow and tucked it behind the book mark as the two didn't go together in the photo but since the two pieces were meant to be separated I left them the way they were...

The little candy bag was just a simple treat bag with a scalloped front edge. I used some school themed dp to make a band around the front and a red binder clip and my Teacher's Have Class gift bag is ready for giving.

Be sure to stop by the Sassy store and see what Cheryl has been creating for you, now that the hurricane is over I'll bet there are new images in the store....Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created and now that the kiddies are in school take some time and play along, we would love to have you!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy creative day!!!

It's Tuesday--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge

Happy Tuesday to you all.  Any Challenge day is a great day and Tuesday for me is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  The hostess this week is the super talented Judy who chose the challenge Use a Sassy Girl image for a Birthday card!!!  Here is what I created:

This image just cracks me up, it could be me a few, okay a lot of, years ago, knobby knees and all.  Now if she was dressed as a tomboy and not a princess it would be more me, but the attitude transcends clothing LOL.
I wanted to create a little gift box for a gift card or a few little trinkets so I created this Top Note gift box.  Here is a picture of the side view so you can see the box:

This was an easy project I found on SplitCoastStampers Resource Library.
The image called Prissy, Sassy and a Little Bit Jazzy was so fun to color and I think is perfect for a tween birthday project.  They are all that usually LOL.
The image took up most of the front so there was minimal room for embellishments.  I chose to use a cricut flower sponged on the edges and spritzed with glimmer mist, which of course you can't see in the photo.
The inside edge of the image was outlined with an Atyou pink glitter pen.
A piece of 1 inch wide grosgrain ribbon ties the gift box shut. There was a slot punched in the top note die right inside the center point into which the ribbon was threaded so it would tie under the die close to the box.
This was a fun project and kind of nice to not make a card, Birthday boxes are fun to make and fun to recieve.

Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT members have created.
It is snowing here in Omaha and not supposed to stop until Wednesday, more of an annoying snow than accumulating, which my daughters in Kansas City and good friend Peggy are getting. Stay safe you guys!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hugs,
Cathy
