Valentine's Day Cards - Part 1

Happy Monday!! I hope your week is starting out fabulously!! I have a few Valentine's Day cards to share with you today and I'll have a few more to share later this week. Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays to create cards for :)

For this card, I used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and tucked Impression Obsession Heart stems among the blooms. The window was cut with a Memory Box Cherise Label and framed with a Memory Box Tiffany Frame. Love is from My Creative Time's You Are Fabulous stamp set and it was heat embossed with vanilla embossing powder. The flag is a Taylored Expressions Banner Die (cut down a bit). Be My Valentine is from My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenge:

1. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday February Linky

For this card, My Craft Spot Fancy Edges dies were used for the two borders. The heart is a My Creative Time Stitched Scalloped Heart die and it's filled with WOC flowers. The banner is a La La Land Stitched Elements die. Be My Valentine is from MCS, as is the Crinkle Ribbon, the Tiny Tags dies and the sentiment, from the Tiny Tags 1 stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenge:

1. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #149 - Valentine's Day

For this card, I used a MCT love die from the Family is Everything set. The red cut-out was cut several times and pasted together for dimension. The banners are Taylored Expressions dies. The sentiments are all from the same MCT Family is Everything set. The flowers are WOC.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great week :)

Celebrate the Season

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a very happy Christmas!! And I hope Santa brought you everything on your wish list!! Any fun new craft supplies??!! I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit this weekend...we had a family celebration and I took an "unplugged" break all weekend, so this is a scheduled post :) I hope to be able to stop by your blogs sometime this week. It's my turn to post on the My Craft Spot blog and I have some last Christmas cards to share with you :)

For these cards, I wanted the texture to be the focal point, so I used embossing folders from Sizzix and Cuttlebug. I lightly sprayed the heavyweight cardstock before I embossed it for maximum effect. The poinsettia is a Spellbinders die and I added berries from Hobby Lobby to the inside. The tag is a Tiny Tags die and the layers were adhered with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set. It was heat embossed with red embossing powder.

The cards are secured with a belly band that slips off so you can open the card to reveal...

...the beautiful sentiment from the Christmas Chalkboard stamp set. It was also heat embossed with red embossing powder.

I am entering these in the following challeges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a very Happy New Year and that 2015 brings you much love, happiness and many, many blessings :)

Noel!!

Happy Saturday!! Did you venture out for Black Friday sales?? I did lots of shopping...all from the warm and comfy confines of home :) What would I do without online shopping??!! It's my turn to post at My Craft Spot and I have some Christmas cards to share with you today :)

I have been having so much fun playing with my early Christmas present (Cricut Explore). I absolutely love the Noel SVG file from SVG Cut Files.com by My Craft Spot and I couldn't wait to use it. I created three Christmas cards using this file and several other MCS products. All of the papers are from The Paper Studio.

I started by cutting out the file in the base paper and then adhering a different paper behind to show through. 'Noel' was cut three more times - once in black for a shadow, once in white and once more in patterned papers. The layers were adhered with foam tape for dimension. The 'N' and 'L' were given an extra layer of foam tape for even more dimension. It was then inserted in the hole created in the base paper. Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon was added to this card, along with a Tiny Tags die. The sentiment is from Tiny Tags Christmas and the button was tied with Natural Jute String.

This card was created the same way, using Vanilla Bean Crinkle Ribbon and Sage Jute String.

Snow White Crinkle Ribbon was used for this card and Natural Jute String.

A sentiment from Christmas Chalkboard was stamped on the inside of each of the cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a wonderful last weekend of November :)

Christmas Candles

Happy Saturday, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the My Craft Spot Blog and I have a 3D Christmas project to share with you!! Have you entered this week's challenge yet? There is still time to enter your 3D Christmas project for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to shop at the My Craft Spot Shop!!

For this project, I wanted to decorate some candles to use as gifts and to adorn the holiday table :)

For this candle, I wrapped red wire ribbon around the base and used a sentiment from O Holy Night. It was stamped on white tissue paper and then I stretched the paper over the candle using wax paper to hold it in place, and heated it with a heat gun until it adhered to the candle and the tissue paper disappeared like magic :) The hanging tag is a Tiny Tag die, and it was used with a sentiment from Tiny Tags Christmas. The star and snowflake are from Small Alphabet and they were covered with Sugar Coating. Gems were adhered in the shape of a Christmas tree. Vintage Vanilla Crinkle Ribbon was tied around the candle to finish it off.

For this candle, a sentiment from Tiny Tags Christmas was stamped on a Tiny Doily die and tied off with raffia ribbon. Papers from The Paper Studio were used, along with white tulle and Washi tape.

This is one of my favorite sentiments...it's from the Christmas Chalkboard set. The letters were colored in with a gold pen.

This sentiment is from O Holy Night. I am entering these in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art Linky Party - Anything Goes
  2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it off Saturday
  3. Decorate to Celebrate - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful weekend :)

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Day 3!!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party!! I'm so excited to be guest designing again for this release!! Each day this week we will be sharing projects to showcase five new stamp sets and several new SVG files!! Kimberly will have a giveaway every day this week, so be sure to leave a comment at My Craft Spot to be eligible for the daily prize. You'll also be treated to some amazing inspiration from the design team!! The party will end with a blog hop celebration on Saturday, where the full release is revealed and prizes will be given at each stop. Kimberly's new stamps and SVG files will also be available for purchase beginning that day :)

Today we are featuring the new Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set and it is fabulous!! Throughout the week the design team will also be incorporating the new SVG files into their projects as well. (Unfortunately I won't until I get a cutting machine :)

I decorates some ornaments to showcase the Tiny Tags Christmas stamps.

The first ornament was covered with Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium and the Ranger Picket Fence Crackle Medium. Once it crackled, Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Ink was sponged over the cracks. The ribbon is Cranberry Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot. The tag is a MCS Tiny Tags die.

For the second ornament, I found the instructions HERE. The papers are from My Mind's Eye. The Toadally Green Crinkle Ribbon is from MCS and a MCS Tiny Doily die was used for this sentiment as well.

For the last ornament, the same technique was used as the first one, but I flaked off some of the paint for a shabby chic look. The Snow White Crinkle Ribbon is from MCS and another MCS Tiny Doily Die was used.

I'm entering this in the following challenge:

1. DL.Art - October Linky
2. Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes

Be sure to head on over to My Craft Spot to see the amazing projects the DT has created - I guarantee you will be inspired!! And don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to My Craft Spot.

Trick or Treat for Adults :)

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! I have a favor to ask all of my sweet followers. I have decided to take the leap and ask Santa for a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas. I've held out this long, mostly because I love dies so much. But there are a few things I'd love to make that I can't with dies. So...if any of you see a really good sale on a Cameo, please let me know :)

I have a tag to share with you today...I like to think of it as a Trick or Treat gift for adults ;)

The tags are from My Creative Times Tag and Tag Layers dies. For this tag, heavyweight black cardstock from The Paper Studio was covered with double sided sticky tape. The spiders and spider webs are from My Craft Spot's Halloween Shapes die set. They were adhered to the sticky tape and then the tag was covered with Doodlebug's Sugar Coating for an awesome sparkle. The spider web along the bottom is from My Craft Spot's Fancy Edges - Halloween. The crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

The tag is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags and the sentiment is from MCS's Batty For You stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. My Craft Spot - Trick or Treat
  2. DL.Art - October Linky
  3. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)
