Blog Break

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! This is a hard post for me to write, but I've decided to take a break from blogging. I haven't been able to find time to craft for a while now...real life is getting in the way. I just can't keep up with blogging and commenting and Facebook and Instagram, so I had to make the hard choice to step down from my design teams and take a break. Right now, I'm planning on starting fresh in the new year.

I created these cards thinking of all of you, wishing you the best while I'm gone, and celebrating the birthdays I'll miss.

I used the new My Sweet Provence papers from Lemoncraft for these cards and you can find them in my ETSY shop HERE. I'll still be making cards for my shop and I'll post some on Facebook and Instagram, so you won't be completely rid of me :) I hope you all have a wonderful end of the year, a happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas!! I'll miss you all while I'm gone!! Big hugs :)

The hanging picture is a Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Die die. It was popped up with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was stamped on a banner die from the Impression Obsession Stitched Tag set.

Sweet Perfection for Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and I have a project to share with you featuring the Sweet Unicorn Baby 922 stamp set.

A Sizzix Box die was used to create the box, using Tear-ific Tape ¼ and Tear-ific Tape 3/4” to secure it together. I cut it in heavyweight cardstock and then covered the panels with colored cardstock, using Tear-ific Tape 3/4” to adhere the paper to the box. The ribbons are from DL.ART.

On the top panel, I used Brushable Glue and then covered it with Unicorn glitter. I embossed a strip of paper with Venus Violet embossing powder and added that to the edge.

For the rainbow, I applied a Super-Adhesive Sheets to cardstock and used a Tonic Mixed Edge Oval, securing all of the dies together to get each ray of the rainbow. I then tried to say close to the true colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV). I used the following glitters, from top to bottom: Gypsy Red, Tangerine, Daisy, Irish Isle, Mermaid, Unicorn and Purple Fig. I then used a Glitter Brush to remove any excess glitter.

I just love this sweet unicorn :) After dusting a piece of cardstock with an Anti Static Bag, she was stamped using a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform with Versamark Embossing Ink Pad and then heat embossed with Black Detail. She was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers and then I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen to add sparkle to her hair and the cloud. I then fussy cut her using Tonic Spring-Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors 6.5”. An oval was cut with a Tonic Mixed Edge Oval from cardstock covered with a Super-Adhesive Sheet. It was then covered with Super Thick White embossing powder and heat embossed for incredible texture.

Hello, everyone and happy Thursday!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday challenge at DL.ART and the theme is Summer. It's a bittersweet challenge for me, as it's the last one for the design team. I've been with Diana since the beginning of the DT, and I have loved every single minute of showcasing her gorgeous ribbons!! The challenges will continue, with the next being the September Linky. I hope you will continue to play along...I know I will :)

For my cards, I used Pacific Cove papers from Craft Smith. I love the tropical colors!!

The adorable hula girl is from Gina Marie Designs. She was adhered over a Frantic Stamper Oval die, and I used the waves die from Karen Burniston's Tropical Scene die set along the bottom.

The flowers are Sue Wilson Tropical Hibiscus dies. They were layered over Kaiser Craft Tropical Leaves dies, and leaves from Gina Marie Designs Aloha Tropical Drink die set. This gorgeous ribbon is Peach from the Spring Bundle #2.

The tree is a Yvonne Creations die and I added a tropical bird from Spellbinders Plum Blossoms die. It was covered in Gypsy Red and Tangerine glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Aloha was stamped on a Elizabeth Craft Stitched Fishtail Banner die. This amazing ribbon is Blue Hue Tail from Mermaid's Tale 2nd Edition.

On the inside, I used Karen Burniston's Palm Tree Pop Up die. Salt Life is from Impression Obsession. It was covered with Mermaid glitter from SNS.

The adorable little crab and...

...sea turtle are from Karen's Sea Animals set.

I covered a My Creative Time Surfboard Die with 2" Tear-ific Tape and then wrapped it with DL.ART Twine.
