Thanks to Bozo for this tape.  Once you get used to listening to this from inside one of the basses it's ok.  The saxes are a little on the quiet side but this is a stupendous grouping with some fabulous playing. Pretty wild (no township).  Something happens (?) at 33:05 so I put a track break in.

ELTON DEAN'S NiNESENSE - Bracknell Jazz Festival 1978

I got this audience recording in trade from many years ago and I shared it previously in comments to some other Ninesense recording here. Recently I gave it a listen and found it wholly enjoyable and great preformance, thus I tried some equalisation from original mp3@320. In the end it is improvement I think. Setlist is similiar to 100 Club Concert from 1979. Track 5 (including 11 min of great improv) has significantly clearer sound without audience noises (which are quietly enjoyable during quiet passages earlier) and due to possible speaker entry in the fade out, it can come from some broadcast (possibly) from different concert, but I got it together with this Bracknell recording).

The music herein was already posted by Riccardo in 2010.
But Michael King - producer of the now sadly defunct label - asked for a removal of the links.
The links were removed and the music was released about two years later in 2012 on Reel Recordings.
Already in 2013 the label stopped its production....
King wanted to start a new label called "Jazz in Britain" but sadly he died in 2015.

ELTON DEAN'S NINESENSE - Basel, Theaterwerkstatt Stadttheater, 24 Juni 1979

This comes from DIME and I have it for several years. I know some of you have it too. Ninesense are septet here, without Alan Skidmore and Harry Beckett, thus plenty of space for others' soloing. Sound is pretty good, although I was fancy to do a remastering during the years... Strong bass, very clear piano. I was not able to do full playlist, even with the help of some of you. It was also released as bootleg named "Feel", but I never saw it actually, except cover pic on the web.

KING ÜBÜ ÖRCHESTRÜ "MÜNCHNER BIG BAND MEETING 1992"

What a (big) band - but quite contraire to Globe Unity, the LJCO or Sun Ra's Arkestra. Much more restrained  in their pace but with no less power or sophistication. Their improvisations were "lower-case" before it became something like a working method for a younger generation. Some have gone in this direction quite far - hear Radu Malfatti's output for the last 15 (or more) years.

They made four recordings. One LP, which is sadly OOP and three CDs.
The last one should at least be still available > here

As far as I know Wolfgang Fuchs is seriously ill...so the orchestra is defunct.
Hope he does well.....

DIDIER LEVALLET OCTET "SCOOP" (IN & OUT, 1982/83)

After I heard Nick's LP of  Didier Levallet he has shared in March 2012 with us I was looking for another recording from him.
Some weeks ago I found it and two days ago I gave it a proper listen.

At least the first track (theme) has impressions from Anthony Braxton's groups ca. 1975 - but the recording is all its own. Tony Oxley is sadly too low in the mix mostly when the whole group is playing. One can hear him f.e. much better in a duo part with Malfatti. Especially the solos spots from Steve Lacy and Tony Coe have touched me upon the the first time listening.
But it is a very enjoyable album in its entirety.

DIDIER LEVALLET OCTET  "SCOOP"

Steve Lacy, soprano saxophone
Tony Coe, tenor saxophone, clarinet
Marc Charig, cornet, alto horn
Radu Malfatti, trombone
Gérard Buquet, tuba, contrabass trombone
