MANGELSDORFF - PORTAL QUARTET + MANGELSDORFF SOLO "LIVE IN GENOVA, 1981"

Got this recording from our recent anonymous donor some weeks ago.
Portal is sometimes a bit too much in the 'background'. This might be due to him wandering around on the stage.
In the same folder was the Mangelsdorff solo - so I assume it is from the same date...

Joachim Kuhn-Paris is wonderful 1969-70

Kudo's to Andy for the super fine rip and prompt request fulfillment ,
 Much Appreciated!

Joachim Kühn - Sound of Feelings 1969

For J and Onxi
Trane's spirit hovers gently over this neglected BYG gem, which to my ears is a companion piece to the Outrageously campily eclectic monster psychedellica of  dear professor Leary..

the chemistry's so good , Kuhn , Jenny- Clarke and Romano , seemed to have forged a lasting musical friendship  , resulting in many further collaborations over the years...
Kuhn is still recording prolifically ..take a look

J, sorry we cant help with "Paris is beautiful" i don't think any of us has heard it, and certainly should any of our readers want to share a nice raw syrup free, vinyl rip , we would all be most appreciative ..

. our belief is that the BYG catalog, ought by now to be firmly in the Public Domain given that so few of the artists actually saw a dime from recordings which have by and  large been circulating in so many dubious semi legitimate issues over the decades ..

Bass, Flute, Bells –Jean Francois Jenny-Clarke
Drums, Flute, Tambourine, Bells –Aldo Romano
Piano, Saxophone [Alto], Shenai, Flute, Tambourine, Bells –Joachim Kuhn
Recorded  in Hamburg, 25th of January 1969

Don Cherry-Togetherness 1965 (Inner City Vers 1976)

I don't imagine that there are many fans of this music who don't have this indispensable minor masterpiece  by,one of the greatest bands of their day.... it is as far as i know out of print , although if memory serves  it has been bootlegged on CD.

A live Parisian recording of dubious provenance  originally released on the Italian Durian label ,  this predates  THE  marvelous Symphony for improvisers , on which Cherry employed an expanded version of this basic quintet...With Ed Blackwell Cherry's friend and favourite drummer instead of Romano who plays on this.
superb music in less than high fidelity  .
ENJOY!!..

PS- i'm posting it by way of experimenting with a suitable file host  since quite a few people are struggling to use Mega.... basically this upload is a shot in the dark .

i would appreciate any feedback relating to the accessibility of  Mixturecloud
