IBSIC#26 SKETCH CHALLENGE

Whew! I was afraid I was not going to get this card posted in time, but I think I made it! I just love Joanna Munster’s challenges at Inspired by Stamping and this week she has a beautiful sketch for us.

I know I took a few liberties with the sketch, but hopefully you see that it was my inspiration.  The image is from Doodle Pantry (Let us be Thankful) and I colored it with my Copics.  The leaves over the sentiment are from a Heartfelt Creations die set and the sentiment is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch, some RRR ribbon, and finished it off with some rhinestones.

YOU’RE IN EVERY ONE OF MY THOUGHTS TODAY

Hi friends! This is the Viva la Verve Week 1 card I promised this morning. (This is my second post today, so please scroll down for the first one.)  I started working on their Anni-VERVE-sary cards, but realized I won’t be here to finish the challenges.  I am leaving Thursday to go to Ft. Benning for my son’s graduation from AIT!!!! He gets a two week leave and we’ll be back Saturday evening. I can’t wait to see him, but that means I won’t be posting many cards this week and the ones I do post will be quick little posts. Thanks for understanding!

FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES AND MORE!

OK Ladies! This is a reminder to watch for blog candy next week! My blogoversary is next week and I am working on putting together some blog candy to celebrate. I used Freshly Made Sketches for this card and the color challenge from Make My Monday. I will link these below.  The papers are Craftwell, embossed sentiment from Inspired by Stamping, Cuttlebug embossing folder and my new toy!!! I have the new Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp & die-cut Framelits set called Butterflies #3.  I know most of you are already familiar with this concept because you use a lot of SU! products but basically this is a stamp set with a set of die-cuts (framelits) from Sizzix that match the stamps.  I used Stamp School white cover weight cardstock for the stamping.  Some stitching and a little bling and this card was done!

THE SHABBY TEA ROOM AND MOJO MONDAY

Hello all my crafty friends. Surprise! I am posting TSTR and MM on Tuesday LOL. Lately, I have not been getting to them until the weekend, so maybe my newly organized schedule is helping.

This week at The Shabby Tea Room, the theme is sewing and we are asked to include stitching, twine and buttons.

The Mojo Monday sketch is pretty awesome this week and I really enjoyed working with it.  I stitched the long pink/blue panel at the top and the floral blue panel is stitched all the way around. The pink button was made with a Marvy punch and is on top of the blue twine. I also looped the twine through the button holes and tied a bow. The papers are K&Company, ZVA crystal/pearl flourish, Spellbinders, Verve sentiment and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The bottom of the white panel it punched with a Martha Stewart edger.
