CASology 153: POP

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is POP:

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions (Party Cow -  F585) and Paper Smooches (Salutations); Die: Fawn Lawn

 

When I read the cue word, the first thing I thought of was a balloon popping, so I used this cute cow image. I used my Copic markers to color him and the sky and decided I would add some green DP to represent the ground. I bent the sentiment on the block to match the flow of the die cut. I hope you like this card!

CASology 152: NAUTICAL

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is NAUTICAL:

(A2: Cut file: Silhouette Studio; Stars: Verve (Golden Glam Shaker Mix; EF: Darice; Die: Spellbinders) 

I don’t think you can see the dry embossing on the white panel, but it is embossed with clouds. I  used a square SB die to cut a window and placed the sentiment inside of the negative space. Some gold stars and a blue mat completes this card.

CASology150: CONGRATULATIONS

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is Graduation:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Salutations); Dies: Paper Smooches (Numbers)

I used gold foil paper behind the black sentiment panel, die cut the numbers and left the negative space open. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold, and I cut a little cap on my Cameo. I just got my Gold Glam Shaker Mix from Verve and just had to add a bit!

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is FLIGHT:

(A2: Stamp: Verve (Making a Statement and Happy Place); Dies: Verve (Happy Doodles Die Set and Rounded Scallop Frame Die)

I had some background paper that I had made using the shaving cream technique so I decided to see how the butterfly would look using that paper, and I love the way it looks. I used some watercolor and added a bit of blue to some watercolor paper to just give the impression of the sky. I stamped the sentiment and added the frame and butterfly using foam tape.

Hi dear friends. Thanks for stopping by! Today, I am sharing my card for the CASology challenge. The theme this week is OMBRE:

(A2: Stamp: Inspired by Stamping (Heartfelt Gratitude); EF: Cuttlebug)

It has been a while since I have had time to play along at CAS-ology, so I am happy to be back this week with a submission. I hope this is CAS enough; someone will have to let me know! I rubbed VersaMark over my embossing folder and ran it through the embossing machine. Then I used white EP and heat embossed. That was followed up with Distress Ink and then a little rubbing off of the ink. I stamped the sentiment on vellum and added a little rub off flourish.

CAS-ology & the LIMETTES

CASology123: LET’S BE THANKFUL

Hi dear friends. Happy Saturday! I meant to get this posted earlier this week, but got too wrapped up in Thanksgiving! This is my card for CASology who’s theme this week is EAT:

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Fancy Pie); EF: Darice; Copics)

 

For this card, I printed the pie twice. I colored the pie plate on one image and colored the pie crust on the other and fussy cut both. To assemble the card, I printed the sentiment and used a Darice embossing border folder to add the embossed strip. Then I attached the pie plate and added the pie crust with foam tape for depth.

CASology121: MERRY CHRISTMAS 2 U

Hi dear friends. This is my second post for today and in this one, I am sharing my CASology card for this week. This week, the gals at CASology are teaming up with Tracey in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags over on her blog so I am also entering into that challenge.  The cue word is FESTIVE:

(A2: Die: Paper Smooches (Scalloped Tag, Numbers and Alphawhimsy; Scoreboard: Martha Stewart; Stamp: Heidi Grace (Believe); Distress Ink)

I put my Paper Smooches dies to work for this little tag. Once I cut the tag, I used my scoreboard to score the top and distressed with DI. I used some paper scraps for the die cuts and tied a piece of seam binding at the top.

CASology117: FRUITFUL FALL

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is CANDY: 

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Candy Apple and Charlie Harvest)

I have been trying to post this all week, but life has been keeping me occupied. I don't know how much posting I will be able to do next week because my daughter's treatments start. 

I hope candy apples count as candy! I merged the sentiment and apple, resized the apple and then copied it and flipped it. After positioning them with the sentiment, I printed and colored with Copics. I heat embossed a couple of swirly stamps and then used Distress Ink and the emboss resist technique.

CASology116: YOU COLOR MY WORLD

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is SPLATTER:

(A2: Stamps: Simon Says Stamp (BIG YOU); Dies: Paper Smooches (Alphawhimsy); Ink: Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink (Burnt Sienna, Yellow Orange, and Phthalocyanine Green)

The ink I used comes in bottles with droppers, so I used water color paper, held a dropper of each color up high above the paper and let it splatter onto the paper. Then, I held up the paper to let the colors run. The YOU stamp is from SSS, the COLOR is cut using the PS Alphawhimsy dies from the same ink on water color paper. I made the last part of the sentiment on my computer and printed on clear printable printer paper. The focal panel is attached to the card base with foam tape.

CASology114: I MISS YOU SO MUCH

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is FLUTTER:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (Take Note and Happy Place), StampinUp! (Off the Grid); Die: Verve (Happy Doodles Die Set)

I used the Off the Grid stamp, masked the white panel and stamped a small part of the grid. I then added the sprigs from Happy Place and the sentiment from Take Note. Last, I die cut the butterfly, stamped it and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.

Hi dear friends. I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is JAVA:

(A2: Stamps: Paper Smooches (Cyber Café); Cut File: Silhouette Studio

I had this coffee-to-go cut file and finally had a chance to use it. I combined it with the Cyber Café stamp set from PS using the steam and sentiment from that set. The sentiment is heat embossed. I don’t know if you can see it in the picture, but the bottom of the white panel is randomly scored.
