riding the wind

Taken this past Saturday morning, while walking at Natirar. It was cold and blustery -- the wind blew everything before it, including clouds and Canada geese. :)

November Sunset

I thought I would take a respite from the mist pictures today. This was the sunset on Friday night, as seen from our backyard. My husband called from work to tell me to look at the sunset. And as I started to shoot all the pretty colors, a group of Canada geese flew across the sky. When I was little, the sound of these geese always drew us from the house to watch and wave them on their way south. They were truly harbingers of the coming season. Now they seem to live here year round, but I still love to hear them as they make their stately progress across the autumn sky.

Miles to Go

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep."

Peace

"I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief."

Procession

This is another in a series of photos I took on Friday morning, as the mist covered a pond near my home.  The other shots are here, and here, and here.  You will probably see a few more misty shots before I'm done posting them...

On the Wing

"On wings of morning our prayers and devotions are soaring.  All of creation awakens, the Maker adoring.  Join in the song.

A Quiet Morning
