All Tied Up! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "All Tied Up!" which means she wants to see ribbon or twine on your project.

This is what I did....

After I made this and took a good look at it, I realized that the balloons are way out of portion for the size of the bear.  I mean, we could have an Up situation here.  Then I remembered that it's not very often bears wear hats, so I could stop worry about how realistic my card is.

Digi is from Scraps and Designs.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

It's a Fake! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "It's a Fake!" which mean I want to see some kind of faux on your project.

This is what I did....

It's got faux stitching, as well as strategically cut and placed patterned paper pretending to be a background die and those embellishments in the corner aren't enamel dots...it's red mirror paper cut in small circles and stacked for dimension.  Sentiment is clipart.  Easy peasy!

Start Those Easter Projects! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Chrissy's turn to choose the challenge and she wants to see those Easter projects.  Now, haven't done much papercrafting for Easter since my kiddos were little, so I took this opportunity to make this....

I bought this set from The Cat's Pajamas right before it closed ( ): ) because I've always loved it but never bought it because I also haven't really done any Halloween papercrafting since my kids were....well, kids.  So, I didn't feel I would ever use it.  Turns out I did use it - ha!  Maybe if I display this card prominently I'll feel guilty enough to not eat too much chocolate bunny at Easter time.  Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha - I already know it'll fail.

B Is For Birthday! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's taking us through the alphabet and saying, "B Is For Birthday!" which means she'd like to see those birthday makes.

This is what I did.....

A fairly standard birthday card using one of my most favourite colours combos - pink & gray.  Digi is from Graciellie Design.  Sentiment is a cheapie I picked up yeeeeeeears ago at a scrapbook store.  Of course I stamped it crookedly, but seeing as I didn't realize that until after I embossed and die cut it, I just went with it.  I'm finding that with my newish 50ist attitude, I really don't get too bothered about....well....a whole lot of things anymore.  Up until I was about 49 and 9 months, stuff like that would have annoyed the paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaants off me.  Like, I would NEVER use a crooked sentiment on a card.  I would have done the whole process over until it was right.  Now *insert shoulder shrug*.  It's done wonders for my stress level, let me tell you.  Hmmmm....now I'm wondering if I didn't die cut it wonky and the stamping is fine.  No change to my reaction with that knowledge though.  Still shoulder shrugging.  (:
