A Is For Anything Goes! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's going with an alphabet theme for her challenges and she's starting off with "A Is For Anything Goes!".  No excuse not to join us this week!

This is what I did.....

I made a card to send to a friend and fellow crafter, Shani from Paperesse, who lives in France....which is why the sentiment is in French.  If you would like to know more about the sentiment, and holiday cards in France, pop on over to this post on Shani's blog.

Digi is a Meople from C.C. Designs from waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day when they offered a few of their stamps as digis.  I would love it if they still did that, they have such cute images.  I wasn't sure how to colour this lil champagne swimmer's mouth though.  When I'm stumped about something like that, I usually turn to The Google so I can see what other crafters have done.  Wasn't able to do that in this case as the either the stamp set is too old, or wasn't very popular (which is a shame!) because I couldn't find anything.  And that's after fighting with The Google because it kept asking me do you mean people.  In the end, I just left it uncoloured.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Can You Feel the Love Tonight @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's going with an Elton John songs theme for 2025.  This week it's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" which means she wants to see those projects about luuuuurrrrvvvvvveeee. ♥♥♥

This is what I did.....

I've used a Melonheadz Illustrating image and coloured it up to look like my daughter and her girlfriend (my newest sub-baby) so my daughter could use it as a Valentine's card.  I was teasing her by telling her that, even though she's taller than B, I went with the slighter shorter one for her as she'd be the one more likely to do a high side ponytail.  I tried not to feel hurt by her scoff seeing as I used to rock the high side pony back in the 80s.  (:

Even though a lot of you agreed with me two weeks ago, I'm gonna say it again in case there's someone new visiting.....red and pink go beautifully together, and you'll never convince me otherwise.  So there.  (:

Peek-A-Boo! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Peek-A-Boo!" which means she wants to see projects that have some sort of window.

This is what I did....

As you can see, four wee bears are peeping out their own windows before heading off to a birthday party.  Unfortunately, I don't know where they're from.  I've was to couple large craft items yard sales last year, and there was a lot of grab bags of stamps, dies and supplies at these sales for cheap and I said, "Yes, please" and picked up a few.  Thing is, there's usually not identifying packaging in these bundles, which is definitely why they're such a excellent deal.  Gotta love adding to the stash without being hard on the pocketbook.  (:

Piece (And Long Life)! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Piece (And Long Life)!" which means I want to see those makes that use paper piecing, (one of my favourite techniques) whether it's with a stamp or with a die.

This is what I did....

I've used a digi from Mo's Digital Pencil and paper pieced the bow and dress.  I was trying to do the star on the tree too, but I just could seem to get it right, so I coloured it instead.  I would like to take this opportunity to, once again, yell about how RED AND PINK GO TOGETHER.  You'll never convince me otherwise.

New Beginnings! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Chrissy's turn to choose the challenge and she's going with that quintessential first challenge of the year - "New Beginnings!" which means she wants to see those "new" projects, like new home, new job, new baby etc.

This is what I did.....

....I went with a new baby card.  Originally, the sentiment was Welcome Baby so that it could be used for a boy or girl baby but the shorter sentiment didn't look right.  I didn't think Welcome Sweet Baby ______ would be received well, so after a look in my stash and seeing that I did have a baby girl card, I gendered it with boy.  Digi is from Scraps and Designs on Etsy.

Well, Dear Reader, I hope 2025 is off to a great start for you!  Wishing you much craftiness in the year to come.  ❤
