God of War PC gameplay AMD Ryzen 5950 12-core NVIDIA 4080RTXoc 32-hours into story

God of War is one of the most gripping titles in the PC catalog as of today, March 15 2023. Though the game was originally launched (near?) a decade ago for consoles (Playstation primarily), the PC saw it fully realized (God of War 1) only in the past few years. Its graphics are unmatched and its gameplay strong and difficult simultaneously, one can play the game with a controller or a keyboard/mouse combination.

I started playing God of War a little over a month ago, after finding the game for an insanely cheap price on Steam in the ‘bargain bin’ section they had at the time (something like four dollars USD). Not expecting much, I was eventually blown away at the sheer scale and atmosphere of God of War (again, this is no sequel). More or less, graphically speaking, this game stomps almost anything (i.e. EVERYTHING) I’ve seen throughout my gaming life; seen, seen, seen, or played myself.

Up there with ‘Doom Eternal’ or Call of duty MW2 2022, to Spider-man through Just Cause, etc, the game is simply a masterpiece visually speaking. It’s the gameplay, however, that really makes this title shine. Blah Blah Blah. Using a controller myself (when almost always opting for a mouse/kb when available; ironic), it has taken more than forty hours to “master” this mind-bending 3rd person action platformer, but its simply worth it when the rewards are as such as are given in this title.
