Winter Owl

Howdy - MichelleO here today - BRRR...  This week I will be sending Warm Winter Wishes to many! Its gunna get cold here in Texas! For my card for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out Winter Owl. Love this little guy but he needs more than a hat and scarf!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then pulled out my Nuvo White pearl and Sparkle to give some shimmer and bling to him. I found some older papers in my stash that just matched up his colors perfectly. OLD papers from Basic Grey... man I love those papers. Sewing down the layers with a zig zag stitch and then adding some Marvy Punch snowflakes this card does have a chilly feel to it. So I then added the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Warm Winter Wishes" One of my all time favorite Winter sentiments! Not a fan of cold weather!

Hope you are bundled up and warm where you are! Warm Winter Wishes!

It's Cozy Season

We have had a couple blasts of winter where I live. Not just cold temperatures but some snow as well. As I type this, we are back to green grass but from the weather forecast that won't be for long.
I have to be honest, winter is not my favourite season but like this adorable "Winter Owl" I do have to go out and about in the snow. I can tell you I know I don't look as cute as he does all bundled up in his hat and scarf!

After colouring this cutie with alcohol markers, I cut him out using a circle die. I added some Stickles to his hat and to the ice and snow on the branch. I chose patterned paper in blues from Echo Park as I thought they helped with the "cold" feeling for my card. Some glitter paper icicles, matching sparkly ribbon and gumdrops finish off my card.

Winter Owl

Howdy - MichelleO here and I have fallen head over heels for this cute little guy! This is High Hopes Stamps "Winter Owl"

Maybe it is the look in his eyes... but I feel cold with him! I colored with Copics (colors below) and made sure to add some Clear Nuvo on all that snowy ice on that branch! I went a bit CAS (clean and simple) on this one. Hard for me. But I just love this little guy and wanted him to be all the focus. A doodled border around the edge and a pattern paper faux ribbon on the bottom as a banner for the perfect High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Wishing you a cozy holiday season!"
