Milton the Moose!

Hi!
I'm getting ready for Fall by making some cards to send to family and friends. I thought "Milton's Fall Harvest" from High Hopes Stamps would be sure to make someone smile! I mean a Moose picking apples.... how cute right?!
I started by stamping and then colouring my images in with Copic Sketch Markers. I dug out some papers from my "Fall Stash"to create my design with. Last winter I went through all my older 6x6 paper pads and tore out the patterns I thought I might use. The rest of the papers I donated to our local Family Resource Center for the kids crafts area. Now I just call it my "stash" as I have no idea what company made what lol. I added a bit of twine and an apple brad to finish off the cards.
I challenged myself to try "no-line colouring". It's something I always envy when other people do it and thought why not give it a try! I decided to do 2 cards showing the difference of no-line colouring to that of a black ink stamped image. I stamped the right image using MFT's ink in the colour Natural. This gave me a very light line to follow when colouring. Sorry one is upside down, it's just the way I stamped and then turned it in the MISTI.
This is the "no-line colouring" image. It has a much softer look to it. I have lots of practice to do but I think it turned out ok!
Here's the most common way, stamp your image with black ink. It's much crisper looking when coloured. I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Happy Fall Ya'll" on both cards.
Copics Used:
Moose: E33, E35, E37/ W1, W3, W5/ R01, R22
Apples: R37, R39, R59, YG17, YG26
Basket: E43, E44, E47, C1, C2, C3
Grass: G28, YG17, YG23, YG25

Milton's Fall Harvest!

Howdy High Hopes Fans!
I'm stopping in today to share this adorable Fall card from High Hopes Stamps called "Milton's Fall Harvest". Milton just brings back memories of apple picking with my Grandparents!
My design is fairly simple...... I stamped and used a stitched rectangle die to cut out Milton. Using my Copic markers I coloured Milton in. Then I cut a square and using my paper cutter, cut it in half diagonally. Then I just backed all my patterned paper with some matching cardstock, and assembled my card. Some ribbon and an apple brad finishes it off!
On the inside I used the High Hopes sentiment called "If Friends Were Apples".
Copics Used:
E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
R35, R37
YG06, YG91, YG93, YG97, YG99
W1, W3, W5

Happy stamping!
P.S. Thanks Donna for the stamp!! ;)

Milton's Fall Harvest

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends!  It's hard to believe after all the beautiful and hot weather we've been enjoying this summer, that Fall is just around the corner!  I am thrilled to share my card, that is fitting for the upcoming season...
 Lisa

This is Milton's Fall Harvest (S214) and Remembrance Tree (T056).  Picking apples is such a fun and yummy family event!!!  It looks like Milton picked the entire tree clean!

The image was stamped on Xpress It cardstock with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool.  The image was coloured with Copic Markers.  Once the colouring was finished, Glossy Accents were applied on the apples.  I just love how the gloss appears on this picture of my card, with the glare from the lighting on some of the apples!  After the gloss was all dry, both images were fussy cut out leaving a small white border around them.

For the card base, I chose some SU Soft Sky cardstock.  The fence was a die cut from MFT called Farm Fence.  The clouds were punched using a Fiskars punch. To punch the grass, a Martha Stewart grass edger punch was used. To assemble and complete this card, foam tape was applied to adhere the main image, grass and the fence posts to add some dimension.
