Mother's Day

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

Spring is in the air and as I type this post it has been feeling like Spring.....until today! As I am typing this, Mother Nature has decided to bless us with some snowsqualls and a special weather statement for the coming week for a snow storm.

The perfect time in my mind to head for my craft room and get creative!
My post today features "Sunday's Best". How daper is this cutie in his dress shirt and pants!
I chose to do a different take on a Mother's Day card - I guess it's kind of masculine and in my mind perfect for a boy to give his mom. Afterall, boys need cards to give to right?

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers I restamped his shirt on some plaid patterned paper and fussy cut it out, I did the same for his bow tie.
I used a sketch I love from One Crazy Stamper for my card layout (below).
It is hard to see in the photo but I added some clear Spectrum Sparkle Pen to the flowers for just a hint of glitter. Some corner dies and gumdrops (my fav) finish off my card.

Ironing Irma

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  Well another week has come and gone, and I am back to share another card with you...
 Jane

This is Ironing Irma (T085) along with the sentiment called - Lg. Fancy Happy Mother's Day (J044).  Such an adorable image!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Glossy Accents to the flower on Irma's apron and the heart on her dress.

The main image was cut using a Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle Die.  For the card base, I used a piece of SU Marina Mist cardstock.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug-Sunkissed 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment was stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder was applied then heated.  To complete this card, a few YNS Gumdrops - White Sugar were added.
